INTRODUCTION TO STONE + BAMBOO MASSAGE
THERAPIES
Hot Stone and Warm Bamboo massage therapies are wonderful treatments that can bring many
therapeutic benets when properly administered. As with any therapy, proper care must be
practiced to ensure the safety of the individual receiving either therapy. Before using the VULSINI
heating bag, we strongly recommend instruction on Hot Stone or Warm Bamboo massage
therapy from a qualied, professional therapist.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using the VULSINI heaters, the below basic safety precautions must be followed:
• Please read all the instructions before using the appliance
• Do not leave the power transformer covered or in the bag pocket when in use
• Ensure all connections are secure before connecting to a mains power supply
• Do not leave the appliance on continuously for longer than 7 hours as this may cause
the power transformer to overheat
• Do not leave the bag connected via the car lighter adaptor for longer than 1 hour
• The appliance is not to be used by children, or persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction
• The appliance is to only be used with the supplied power supply
• The appliance must only be supplied at SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage)
• The appliance is not to be used if there are signs of damage
• If the external cable or cord of the product is damaged it shall be replaced by the
manufacturer or service agent in order to prevent a hazard
• Do not touch hot surfaces
• To protect against electrical hazard or damage to the electrical element, do not
immerse the cord, plug or bag in any liquid or allow excess liquid to soak into the bag
• Keep the appliance and all electrical cables out of reach of children
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use
• Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning
• Allow to cool before cleaning the appliance
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven
• Do not use the appliance for other than the intended use as described in this manual
• Use heat resistant gloves to lift heated stones or bamboo sticks from the appliance
• Do not use this appliance when you are feeling drowsy or are going to fall asleep
• The VULSINI heater is not a toy, extreme caution is required when using this appliance
CAUTIONS
• The VULSINI heater should not be used for a treatment if the following conditions are
present: Tuberculosis, tumours, open wounds, haemorrhages, bruises, broken skin,
thrombosis or phlebitis, varicose veins or undetermined joint pain in the calf
• People, who are pregnant, have diabetes or other illness, should have a physician’s
approval prior to receiving massage stone therapy
• Contact your physician if you have any questions concerning the therapeutic eects of
massage stones or sticks heated with this appliance
• Discontinue use of the heater if you or the recipient experience any discomfort from the
therapy and contact your physician immediately

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VULSINI BAG
Temperature Controller
• To turn your bag on or o, press and hold the power button for
2 seconds
• To switch the display unit of measurement between degree
Celsius (ºC) and degree Farenheit (ºF), press and hold both
‘-’ and ‘+’ buttons together for 2 seconds
• The green light signies the unit is connected to a power source
• The red light signies the unit is heating to reach the set temperaure
Caution
Do not leave the controller or power transformer covered, in the pocket or
on top of the bag while the unit is connected to a power supply
Dual-Power
• The bags can be powered by both an AC power supply using the
power transformer, or by the car adaptor
Wash/Reheat Bags
• These can be used to collect oily bamboo sticks or stones once
nished with, or to avoid contaminating the main bag whilst
reheating them during a treatment

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE
1 Unpack your VULSINI heating bag completely and remove all the packaging material
and information labels.
2 Check if your VULSINI bag can be used under the voltage range of your area. If you are
unsure, please do not continue using and contact the manufacturer.
3 Lay the bag on one side on a at surface.
4 Have the VULSINI wash/reheat bag(s) in place in the main bag.
5 Place clean, dry stones or bamboo sticks in the VULSINI bag.
6 Close the bag - it is now ready to use.
7 Register your product on our web site (www.vulsini.com) or complete and return the
‘Warranty Registration’ slip to activate your free 1 year warranty.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• The VULSINI Thermometer will give a reading of the stone or bamboo stick it is placed
upon in the bag ±3ºC.
• Heating times will vary depending on the size, shape and amount of stones in the bag.
• The bag heating range is between 30ºC (86ºF) and 80ºC (176ºF), however a
recommended usage range is 50ºC (122ºF) - 60ºC (140ºF).
• The VULSINI wash/reheat bags can be used to reheat oily stones or bamboo sticks,
please note this may cause gradual ‘wear and tear’.
STONE HEATING GUIDE
The graph is based on the temperature controller set to maximum (80ºC) for quickest heating.
Three stone sizes were tested starting at room temperature (22ºC).
Note: heating times vary widely and are to be used only as a guide.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE - STANDARD
1 Lay the VULSINI bag on one side on a at surface.
2 Place the VULSINI wash-bag(s) inside the bag.
3 Lay clean, dry stones or bamboo sticks into the bag:
Tip: Small, face and toe stones can be ‘stacked’ as they heat quicker than the larger
stones.
4 Close the bag.
5 Connect the power cord to the power transformer, and the power transformer to the
temperature controller, ensuring all connections are tight and secure.
Note: do not leave the power transformer covered or in the pocket while the unit is
connected to a power supply
6 Plug the power cord into a standard grounded outlet.
7 To turn the unit on, press and hold the power button of the controller for 2 seconds.
8 With the display showing, press the ‘-‘ and ‘+’ buttons to set the desired temperature.
Tip: the quickest method of heating your stones or bamboo sticks is to set the
temperature controller to max (80ºC) and then reduce the temperature setting once the
stones or bamboo sticks have reached a comfortable working temperature.
9 Use the VULSINI Thermometer in the bag to measure the average temperature of your
stones or bamboo sticks.
10 Perform your hot stone/warm bamboo massage routine.
Note: the VULSINI bags (except the Mini) have been designed to hold enough stones
or bamboo sticks for a full body massage, and for used/oiled stones to be discarded
directly into the wash/reheat bags. However, if you would like to reheat stones during
the same treatment, simply use the wash/reheat bags to avoid contaminating the main
bag with oil.
11 During the routine carefully remove the stones or bamboo sticks from the bag using a
heatproof glove, testing the temperature by touching it with a bare nger and holding it
in your hand.
Note: the VULSINI bags should remain plugged in during the treatment to maintain a
constant temperature.
12 Once nished with, place the oiled stones or bamboo sticks into the VULSINI wash/
reheat bags, ready to be washed.
13 When the treatment is nished unplug the bag.
14 Wash the stones and wash/reheat bags thoroughly with warm water, anti-bacterial
soap and a hard bristle brush, removing any traces of oil. Clean the bamboo sticks by
wiping thoroughly with anti-bacterial wipes or surgical spirit.
Note: do not submerge the bamboo sticks in water to clean as this will damage them.
15 Place the washed stones or bamboo sticks onto a towel and leave to dry thoroughly
before placing them back into the VULSINI bag.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE - MOBILE
1 Lay the VULSINI bag on one side on a at surface.
2 Place the VULSINI wash-bag(s) inside the bag.
3 Lay clean, dry stones or bamboo sticks into the bag:
Tip: small, face and toe stones can be ‘stacked’ as they heat quicker than the larger
stones.
4 Close the bag.
Tip: where possible, preheat the unit from a mains power supply before travelling to the
treatment
5 Connect the power cord to the power transformer, and the power transformer to the
temperature controller, ensuring all connections are tight and secure.
Note: do not leave the power transformer covered or in the pocket while the unit is
connected to a power supply.
6 Plug the power cord into a standard grounded outlet.
7 To turn the unit on, press and hold the power button of the controller for 2 seconds.
8 With the display showing, press the ‘-‘ and ‘+’ buttons to set the desired temperature.
Tip: the quickest method of heating your stones or bamboo sticks is to set the

9 If travelling by car, connect the car adaptor to the temperature controller and connect
to your car for the last 30-60 minutes of your journey.
10 When at your destination, place the VULSINI bag onto a at surface and lay down at.
11 Reconnect the bag to a power supply to maintain a constant temperature during the
treatment.
12 Use the VULSINI Thermometer in the bag to measure the average temperature of your
stones or bamboo sticks.
13 Perform your hot stone/warm bamboo massage routine.
Note: the VULSINI bags have been designed to hold enough stones or bamboo sticks
for a full body massage, and for used/oiled stones to be discarded directly into the
wash/reheat bags. However, if you would like to reheat stones during the same
treatment, simply use the wash/reheat bags.

16 When the treatment is nished, turn o the unit by pressing and holding the ‘On/O’
button for 2 seconds.
17 Close your wash/reheat bags and place into the VULSINI bag.
18 Close the VULSINI bag completely and travel home.
19 Once home, remove the wash/reheat bags with the used stones or bamboo sticks.

20 Wash the stones and wash/reheat bags thoroughly with warm water and anti-bacterial
soap, removing any traces of oil. Clean the bamboo sticks by wiping thoroughly with
anti-bacterial wipes or surgical spirit.
Tip: the sooner you wash your stones after use, the easier it is to remove grease.
21 Place the washed stones or bamboo sticks onto a towel and leave to dry thoroughly
before placing them back into the VULSINI bag.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Wipe the inside of the bag out after each therapy session with a dry-damp cloth
• Carefully remove all of the stones or bamboo sticks rst and allow the appliance to cool
down to room temperature before wiping
• NEVER immerse the bag in water or place in a sink to rinse
• Clean the stones in warm water with mild anti-bacterial soap and a hard bristle brush
• Allow to dry before storing
• Clean the bamboo sticks by wiping thoroughly with anti-bacterial wipes or surgical spirit

OUR WARRANTY
The VULSINI bags are warranted for one year from the date of delivery against manufacturer
defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover damage through misuse,
transportation, accident or any similar incidents.
Please go online (www.vulsini.com) to register your product or return the Warranty Registration
slip provided in order for it to be covered by warranty. An original sales receipt of proof of
purchase may be required in order to redeem the warranty.
Your VULSINI heater comes equipped with numerous safety features. Any attempt to
interfere with the operation of these safety features or opening of sealed areas will make this
warranty null and void. In the event that we receive a VULSINI heater for service that has been
tampered with, we reserve the right to restore it to its original state and charge for the repair.
