INSTALLATION AND USER’S MANUAL
VULX MAGMA BARBEQUE TABLE
You’ve just acquired a VULX branded product.
This product has been manufactured with care and submitted to many control
tests, certifying it to CE EN 498 et EN 1860-1 standards.
Please read this manual carefully to use and maintain your VULX MAGMA
barbeque table safely and correctly.
Please keep this installations and user’s manual safely.

1. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before use, check that no part or element of the VULX MAGMA barbeque table is
deformed damaged or unscrewed.
•Only for use outside
•Consult the instructions before using
•CAUTION: Accessible parts can be very hot. Keep away from
young children
•This device must be kept away from flammable materials during
use
•Do not move the device when using
•Close the gas valve after use
•Do not modify the device
•Do not close the ventilation openings of the gas cylinder’s slot
•The propane gas cylinder must be replaced when necessary
(away from any source of fire)
•Do not use in enclosed spaces!
•WARNING! This barbecue will become very hot. Do not move
during use.
•Never spray with water to extinguish the flame!

WARNING! Do not use alcohol or petrol to ignite or reactivate the
fire! Only use firelighters that comply with the EN 1860-3
standard!
WARNING! Do not leave the barbecue accessible to children and
pets.

2- ASSEMBLY
Assemble your VULX MAGMA barbeque table on a clean and level floor surface –
protect floor with cardboard or other material to prevent damage
TOOLS REQUIRED
1 BTR wrench size 4
1 metric wrench size 10 (flat, hexagon or pipe)
2 metric wrenches size 13 (flat, hexagon or pipe)
1 screwing device or screwdriver for cross head screws

Place the panel with the hole surrounded by rubber on the ground.
Make sure the VULX logo is facing the ground (outside surface)
Screw 4 black hexagon socket screws M6x20 in the screw holes in the panel for
the gas tube (the hole surrounded by rubber)

Place and screw the 2 legs without cut-outs onto the panel (2 at bottom of
picture)

Place the panel (below left) with the open side upwards onto the 2 screws of the
assembled part
Assemble with 2 M6 nuts, do not screw tightly.

Place the panel (see below) as shown onto the 2 screws on the lower wide part
of the structure.
Assemble with 2 M6 nuts, do not screw tightly.

Assemble the two side panels making sure the VULX Logo is legible and facing
outwards.
Fix in place using 2 black hexagon socket screws M6x20 and 2 M6 nuts (do not
screw tightly) in the two lower holes (see below)

Assemble the remaining 2 legs as shown below. They slot in between the
horizontal panels and the side panels.
Fix in place using 2 black hexagon socket screws M6x20 and 2 M6 nuts (do not
screw tightly), in the 2 lower holes in the legs, while the side panels and the
horizontal panels are squeezed together.

Assemble the 2 holders for the grease collection tray (see below). Make sure,
they are facing the right way. Fix in place using 2 black hexagon socket screws
M6x20 and 2 M6 nuts, slotting between the panels, legs and top panel.

Assemble the small top panel with 2 black hexagon socket screws M6x20 and 2
M6 nuts, screwing into the 2 remaining holes at top of legs.
Make sure it is screwed on as high as possible.

Tighten all the screws and nuts

Place the VULX MAGMA barbeque table upright.

Place the upper cone on the base aligning as shown in the diagram below (side
hole in line with the hole surrounded by rubber)

Screw both parts together using the last 2 M8x20 screws and the remaining 4 M8
nuts. Screws inserted into lower part of legs and nuts in the upper cone.

Insert the grease collection tray by slotting into the space provided. (see below)

Fixation of table plate
Arrange the 3 elements of the table plate on the supports using the same
spacing between the tray and the cooking plate.
Then fix the 3 parts of the tray with the 24 screws and 24 washers provided
CAUTION: ALWAYS USE 1 WASHER PER SCREW
Screw on gently with a screwdriver or a screwing device (speed 1).

Clip on the door by holding it with the 2 handles and slotting onto the 4
attachment points on the legs

2.1 GAS SYSTEM INSTALLATION
WARNING! All handling must be carried out when the apparatus is
completely cold.

Place the gas basin in the outer cone lining up the different holes.

Unpack and assemble the gas burner by placing the tap through the holes of the
cones (see below)

Place the stainless-steel cooking plate on the gas basin.
WARNING :
On first use the cooking plate will hollow slightly after heating. To maintain this
shape ALWAYS COOK ON THE SAME SIDE
Gas cylinder installation
Please only use a gas cylinder of PROPANE NF gas approved for UK/Ireland.
Please only use a regulator, in compliance with the current European standards
and compatible with your LP gas cylinder.
Place the gas cylinder in the centre of the base of your VULX MAGMA barbeque
table.
Use PROPANE Gas for OUTDOORS

Gas flexible hose installation
Use a flexible propane gas hose complying with NF standards to connect the
device to the gas cylinder with a minimum length of 80 cm, which will be
connected to the burner by a standard ½"nut and to the 37 mbar regulator with
a standard 20x150mm nut.
Tighten with a pliers
Pass the flexible tube through the hole in the back panel and feed through until it
reaches the gas cylinder.
Please respect the gas hose replacement order as stipulated by the NF standard
for this hose.

2.2. CHARCOAL SYSTEM

Insert the basin for charcoal in the outer cone, using the two handles to make
sure it is properly in place.

Using the VULX tool provided install the cast iron cooking grill.
Always use the cooking grill when using charcoal

2.3 SWITCHING FROM GAS USE TO CHARCOAL AND BACK AGAIN
Dismantling the gas system:
Remove the stainless-steel cooking plate WHEN COOL.
Unscrew the gas burner’s pipe and slide it through the hole in the panel.
Carefully remove the gas burner from the 2 cones.

Remove the gas basin and replace with the charcoal basin.
Install the cast iron cooking grill using the VULX tool provided.
To use for gas use inverse this process.
WARNING!
ALWAYS REMOVE THE GAS CYLINDER LOCATED IN THE BASE,
BEFORE USING YOUR VULX IN CHARCOAL MODE!
The VULX MAGMA barbeque table must be assembled on a stable, level surface
before use.

3. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FIRST TIME :
Clean and rinse the cooking surface before first use
Gas system
Turn on the gas using the gas cylinder valve. You can optionally, briefly press the
regulator button to flush out any air remaining in the hose.
Then open the small gas burner by turning the knob to the left.
1/2 a turn is enough to switch on the gas to full.

Light using a fire lighter through the hole in the cooking plate.
THE GAS BURNER MAY WHISTLE SLIGHTLY IN THE BEGINNING OF USE BUT
THIS ONLY LASTS A FEW MINUTES.
In case of ignition problems, check that the regulator valve is open or that the
gas cylinder is not empty. Also check that there is no leak in the gas circuit
(flexible hose, connection...).
Heat the cooking plate at full power for 5 to 10 minutes before cooking.
Then regulate the heat intensity according to your needs. Turn off by turning the
control knobs to the right.
After use turn off the gas supply from the cylinder.
