VXI LIMITED WARRANTY
1. If your VXI AVX Adapter fails to work for any reason during the first two years from the date of purchase as
shown by the purchaser's warranty registration, VXI will repair or replace the AVX Adapter at its election, free of
charge. To register your VXI product, you may do so online at www.vxicorp.com or by calling customer service at
800-742-8588. Without warranty registration, the warranty period begins on the date of manufacture. All
products returned to VXI after the two-year warranty period will be repaired as "out of warranty" products, and
purchaser will be billed for such repairs pursuant to the Out-of-Warranty Repair provisions set forth below.
2. The obligations of VXI under this warranty shall be limited to repair or replacement (at our option) of any part
returned, freight pre-paid, to VXI. Returned products require a Return Authorization that may be requested from
VXI at 800.742.8588 or www.vxicorp.com.
3. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE
IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Some jurisdictions do
not permit the exclusion of implied warranties and the foregoing exclusions may not apply to you.
4. In no event shall VXI be responsible for any other damages whatsoever including direct, indirect, special,
incidental, consequential or otherwise for breach of this or any other warranty,express or implied.
OUT-OF-WARRANTY REPAIRS
VXI will repair out-of-warranty product for a charge that is applicable as of the date of receipt by VXI. Call
1-800-742-8588 for current repair charges and see return details above. Out-of-warranty repairs are warranted to
be free from defects in material and workmanship for ninety (90) days. Products returned to VXI for
Out-of-Warranty repairs, freight prepaid and with proper Return Authorization, will be return shipped to the
customer at VXI's expense within five (5) days of VXI's receipt of payment.

AVX Adapter

1. PLUG AVX ADAPTER INTO PHONE
Plug the clear plastic modular plug (#1 in photo) on the AVX adapter into
the headset port on your phone.
2. CONNECT HEADSET INTO AVX ADAPTER
Plug the modular plug on the end of your headset cord* into the headset
port (#2 in photo) on the AVX adapter.
3. SET THE COMPATIBILITY SWITCH
Make a test call. After you are on the call, insert the end of the MIC ADJ
tool (#5 in photo) into the Compatibility Switch setting cavity (#3 in
photo). Start talking and push the switch sideways to the left (setting 1)
and then to the right (setting 2). Choose the one that makes your voice
sound the best to the person on the other end of the call. Keep the caller
on the phone for Step 4.
4. SET THE MICROPHONE VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
If the person on the other end of the call says that your voice is too loud
or too soft, increase or decrease the microphone volume as follows.
1. Hold the AVX adapter in position as shown (#4 in photo) with the
bottom label upright and facing you.
2. Insert MIC ADJ tool (#5 in photo) into the small hole on the bottom
of the unit (#4 in photo) and begin to talk. Instruct the person on the
other end of the call to tell you when your voice is at an acceptable level.
3. Turn the tool clockwise to increase the volume of your voice. Turn
counter-clockwise to decrease the volume of your voice.
* If your headset does not end in a modular plug, you may need a lower cord for the headset. VXI sells lower headset
cords with VXI, Plantronics and GN Netcom compatible connectors. Visit www.vxicorp.com/passport for purchase or
call VXI at 1-800-742-8588. Tell the representative which headset brand you have and that you want to plug your
headset into the VXI AVX adapter. Plantronics and GN Netcom are registered trademarks of their respective owners.

COMPATIBILITY
The VXI AVX Adapter allows a direct headset connection to the following
Avaya IP and standard phone models: 302D, 2410, 2420, 4406D+, 4412D+,
4424D+, 4424LD+, 6416D+M, 6424D+M sets. Also compatible with model
4620SW manufactured after November 2004.
