This manual contains important instructions that should be followed during installation and maintenance of the UPS and batteries. Please read
and follow all instructions carefully during installation and operation of the unit. Read this manual thoroughly before attempting to unpack, install,
or operate.
CAUTION! To prevent the risk of fire or electric shock, install in a temperature and humidity controlled indoor area free of conductive
contaminants. (Please see specifications for acceptable temperature and humidity range).
CAUTION! To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover except to service the battery. Turn off and unplug the unit before
servicing the batteries. There are no user serviceable parts inside except for the battery.
CAUTION! Hazardous live parts inside can be energized by the battery even when theAC input power is disconnected.
CAUTION! The UPS must be connected to an AC power outlet with fuse or circuit breaker protection. Do not plug into an outlet that is not
grounded. If you need to de-energize this equipment, turn off and unplug the unit.
CAUTION! To avoid electric shock, turn off the unit and unplug it from theAC power source before servicing the battery or installing a computer
component.
CAUTION! Not for use in a computer room as defined in the Standard for the Protection of Electronic Computer/Data Processing Equipment,
ANSI/NFPA75.
CAUTION! To reduce the risk of fire, connect only to a circuit provided with 20 amperes maximum branch circuit over current protection in
accordance with the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.
CAUTION! DO NOT USE FOR MEDICAL OR LIFE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT! ADI does not sell UPS products for life support or medical
applications. DO NOT use in any circumstance that would affect the operation and safety of life support equipment, medical applications, or
patient care.
CAUTION! DO NOT USE WITH OR NEAR AQUARIUMS! To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use with or near an aquarium.
Condensation from the aquarium can cause the unit to short out.
CAUTION! DO NOT USE THE UPS ON ANY TRANSPORTATION! To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use the unit on any
transportation such as airplanes or ships. The effect of shock or vibration caused during transit and the damp environment can cause the unit to
short out.
WARNING! This product can expose you to chemicals including Styrene, and Bisphenol-A, which is known to the State of California to

UNPACKING
Inspect the UPS upon receipt. The box should contain the following:
(a) UPS unit (b) User’s manual (c) USB device cable (d) Software download card
AUTOMATIC VOLTAGE REGULATOR
The 0E-825V12VRD stabilizes inconsistent utility power to nominal levels that are safe for equipment.
Unstable utility power can be damaging to important data and hardware. With Automatic Voltage Regulation
(AVR), damaging voltage levels are corrected to safe levels. AVR automatically increases low utility power to
a consistent and safe 110/120 volts.
HOW TO DETERMINE THE POWER REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR EQUIPMENT
1. Ensure that the equipment plugged into the UPS does not exceed the UPS unit’s rated capacity. If the rated capacities of the unit are
exceeded, an overload condition may occur and cause the UPS unit to shut down or the circuit breaker to trip.
2. There are many factors that can affect the amount of power that your electronic equipment will require. For optimal system performance keep
the load below 80% of the unit’s rated capacity.
HARDWARE INSTALLATION GUIDE
1. Your new UPS may be used immediately upon receipt. However, after receiving a new UPS,
to ensure the battery’s maximum charge capacity, it is recommended that you charge the
battery for at least 8 hours. Your UPS is equipped with an auto-charge feature. When the
UPS is plugged into an AC outlet, the battery will automatically charge whether the UPS is
turned on or turned off.
2. With the UPS unit turned off and unplugged, connect your computer, monitor, and any other peripherals
requiring battery backup into the battery power supplied outlets. Plug the other peripheral equipment (eg.
printer, scanner, speakers, etc.) into the full-time surge protection outlets. DO NOT plug a laser printer,
paper shredder, copier, space heater, vacuum cleaner, sump pump, or other large electrical device into
the “Battery and Surge Protected Outlets”. The power demands of these devices will overload and
possibly damage the unit.
3. To protect a fax, phone, or modem line, connect a telephone cable from the wall jack outlet to the IN jack of the
UPS. Connect a telephone cable from one of the UPS OUT jacks to the modem port on the computer. The
other UPS OUT jack can be used to protect a telephone or fax machine.
4. Plug the UPS into a 2 pole, 3 wire grounded receptacle (wall outlet). Make sure the wall branch outlet is
protected by a fuse or circuit breaker and does not service equipment with large electrical demands (e.g. air
conditioner, refrigerator, copier, etc.). The warranty prohibits the use of extension cords, outlet strips, and
surge strips in conjunction with the UPS unit.
5. Press the power switch to turn the unit on. The Power On indicator light will illuminate green and the unit will “beep” once.
6. If an overload is detected, an audible alarm will sound and the unit will emit one long beep. To correct this, turn the UPS off and unplug at
least one piece of equipment from the battery power supplied outlets. Make sure the circuit breaker is depressed and then turn the UPS on.
7. To maintain optimal battery charge, leave the UPS plugged into an AC outlet at all times.
8. To store the UPS for an extended period of time, cover it and store with the battery fully charged. While in storage, recharge the battery every
three months to ensure optimal battery life.
9. Ensure the wall outlet and UPS are located near the equipment being attached for proper accessibility.
DESCRIPTION
1. Battery and Surge Protected Outlets
The UPS has six battery powered and surge protected outlets to ensure temporary uninterrupted operation of your equipment during a
power failure. (DO NOT plug a laser printer, paper shredder, copier, space heater, vacuum cleaner, sump pump, or other large
electrical device into the “Battery and Surge Protected Outlets.”The power demands of these devices will overload and possibly
damage the unit.)
2. Full-Time Surge Protection Outlets
The UPS has six surge suppression outlets.
3. LCD module display
LCD display shows all the UPS information using icons and messages. For more information please review the “Definitions for Illuminated
LCD Indicators”section.
4. Power Switch
To turn the UPS ON, press the power button for approximately 2 seconds - you will hear a constant tone (1 second) - and release after a
short beep.
To turn the UPS OFF, press the power button for approximately 2 seconds - you will hear a constant tone (1 second) - and release after two
short beeps.
Alarm setting: The audible alarm can be turned Off or On by quickly pressing the POWER button twice. The default setting is for theAlarm
On. To turn theAlarm Off, quickly press the power button twice. You will hear two short beeps when theAlarm is turned Off. To turn the Alarm
back On, quickly press the power button twice. You will hear a single short beep when the Alarmis turned On. *When the Alarm is turned Off,
there will be no audible notification when the UPS reaches a low battery state.
5. Power On Indicator
This LED is illuminated when the utility power is normal and the UPS outlets are providing power, free of surges and spikes.
6. Mode Switch
Press the Mode Switch for approximately 3 seconds to enter setup mode to select three functions: Utility High Voltage Range, Utility Low
Voltage Range, and LCD sleep ON/OFF. When a function is selected, press Mode Switch for 3 seconds to view options. When an option is
selected, wait for 8 seconds for the setting to be confirmed. After the setting has been confirmed the LCD screen will leave setup mode and
go back to status display. If there is no action for 8 seconds during setup, the LCD will also leave setup mode and go back to the status
display.
a. Utility High Voltage Range: Adjust the value of high voltage range.
b. Utility Low Voltage Range: Adjust the value of low voltage range.
c. LCD: L1/L0 (ON/OFF):
* When LCD is set to L1, LCD will be always ON. When LCD is set to L0, LCD will dim if untouched for 1 minute.
* In battery mode, LCD is always on regardless if the setting is L1 or L0.
7. USB Port
The USB port allows connection and communication between the USB port on the computer and the UPS unit.
8. Communication Protection Ports
Communication protection ports will protect any standard modem, fax, or telephone line. (RJ11)
9. Circuit Breaker
Located on the side of the UPS, the circuit breaker provides overload and fault protection.
10. Ground Screw
The ground screw is used for any equipment that needs a chassis ground connection.
11. Outlets Designed for AC Adapters
The UPS unit has four widely-spaced outlets. AC power adapters can be plugged into the UPS without overlapping or blocking adjacent
outlets.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
Replacement of batteries located in an OPERATOR ACCESS AREA.
1. When replacing batteries, replace with the same number of the following battery: BB / HRC1234W or LEOCH / DJW12-9 for
0E-825V12VRD.
2. CAUTION! Risk of Energy Hazard, 12V, maximum 9Ampere-hour battery. Before replacing batteries, remove conductive jewelry such as
chains, wrist watches, and rings. High energy through conductive materials could cause severe burns.
3. CAUTION! Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode.
4. CAUTION! Do not open or mutilate batteries. Released material is harmful to the skin and eyes. It may be toxic.
CAUTION - RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING
TO LOCAL REGULATIONS.
TO REPLACE THE BATTERY
1. Turn off and unplug all connected equipment.
2. Unplug it from the AC power source.
3. Turn the UPS upside down.
4. Remove the 1 retaining screw.
5. Slide the battery compartment cover completely off of the unit.
6. Remove the battery from the compartment.
7. Disconnect the battery wires from the battery.
8. Install the replacement battery by connecting the red wire and black wire to the positive (+) and negative (-) terminal of the battery.
9. Put the battery back into the compartment.
10. Slide back the battery compartment cover and tighten the retaining screw.
11. Charge the unit for 8 hours to fully charge the battery.
REMINDER: Batteries are considered HAZARDOUS WASTE and must be disposed of properly. Most retailers that sell lead-acid batteries
collects used batteries for recycling, as required by local regulations.

INPUT voltage meter: This meter measures the AC voltage that the UPS system is receiving from the
utility wall outlet. The UPS is designed to continuously supply connected equipment with stable output
voltage. In the event of a complete power loss, severe brownout, or over-voltage, the UPS relies on its
internal battery to supply consistent 110/120 output voltage. The INPUT voltage meter can be used as
a diagnostic tool to identify poor-quality input power.
OUTPUT voltage meter: This meter measures, in real time, the AC voltage that the UPS system is
providing to the computer during normal AC/Utility Power mode, and battery backup mode.
ESTIMATED RUNTIME: This displays the run time estimate of the UPS with the current battery
capacity and load.
NORMAL icon: This icon appears when the UPS is working under normal conditions.
BATTERY icon: During a severe brownout or blackout, this icon appears and an alarmsounds (two short beeps followed by a pause) to indicate
the UPS is operating from its internal batteries. During a prolonged brownout or blackout, the alarm will sound continuously to indicate the UPS’s
batteries are nearly out of power. You should save files and turn off your equipment immediately or allow the software to shut the system down.
OVER LOAD icon: This icon appears and an alarm sounds to indicate the battery-supplied outlets are overloaded. To clear the overload, unplug
some of your equipment from the battery-supplied outlets until the icon turns off and the alarm stops.
BATT. CAPACITY meter: This meter displays the approximate charge level of the UPS's internal battery in 20% increments. During a blackout
or severe brownout, the UPS switches to battery power (the BATTERY icon appears) and the battery charge level decreases.
LOAD CAPACITY meter: This meter displays the approximate output load level of the UPS battery outlets in 20% increments.
FAULT: The following number appears if there is a problem with the UPS. Press the POWER button to turn the UPS off.
E22: Battery Mode or AC/Utility Power Mode Overload fault (Unplug at least one piece of equipment from battery outlets and turn the
UPS on again.)
E21: Battery Output Short fault (Unplug at least one piece of equipment from battery outlets and turn the UPS on again.)

1. Limited Warranty
a. General
Subject to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty, from the date of sale through the period of time for product categories specified in
Section 1(b), ADI warrants itsW Box Technologies products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service,
normal wear and tear excepted. Except as required by law, this Limited Warranty is only made to Buyer and may not be transferred to any third
party.
ADI shall have no obligation under this Limited Warranty or otherwise if:
(i) The product is improperly installed, applied or maintained;
(ii) The product is installed outside of stated operating parameters, altered, or improperly services or repaired;
(iii) Damage is caused by outside natural occurrences, such as lightning, power surges, fire, floods, acts of nature, or the like.
(iv) Defects resulting from unauthorized modification, misuse, vandalism, or other causes
unrelated to defective materials or workmanship, or failures related to batteries of any type used in connection with the products sold
hereunder.
ADI only warrants those products branded as W Box Technologies products and sold by ADI. Any other products branded by third parties are
warranted by the third party manufacturer for a period as defined by the third party manufacturer, andADI assigns to Buyer those warranties and
only those warranties extended by such third party manufacturers or vendors for non-ADI branded products. ADI does not itself warrant any
non-ADI branded product and sells only on an as is basis in accordance with ADI’s terms and conditions of sale.

LOSS OR DAMAGE IS CAUSED BY ADI’S OWN NEGLIGENCE OR FAULT AND EVEN IF ADI HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
SUCH LOSSES OR DAMAGES. Any product description (whether in writing or made orally by ADI or ADI’s agents), specifications, samples,
models, bulletin, drawings, diagrams, engineering sheets, or similar materials used in connection with the Buyer’s order are for the sole purpose
of identifying ADI’s products and shall not be construed as an express warranty or condition. Any suggestions by ADI or ADI’s agents regarding
use, applications or suitability of the products shall not be construed as an express warranty or condition unless confirmed to be such in writing by
ADI. ADI does not represent that the products it sells may not be compromised or circumvented; that the products will prevent any personal
injury or property loss by burglary, robbery, fire or otherwise, or that the products will in all cases provide adequate warning or protection. Buyer
understands and will cause its customer to understand that a properly installed and maintained product is not insurance or guarantee that such
will not cause or lead to personal injury or property loss. CONSEQUENTLYADI SHALLHAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY,
PROPERTY DAMAGE OR OTHER LOSS BASED ON ANY CLAIM AT ALL INCLUDINGA CLAIM THAT THE PRODUCT FAILED TO GIVE
WARNING. However, ifADI is held liable whether directly or indirectly for any loss or damage with respect to the products it sells, regardless of
cause or origin, its maximum liability shall not in any case exceed the purchase price of the product, which shall be fixed as liquidated damages
and not as a penalty and shall be the complete and exclusive remedy againstADI.
3. Limitation on Liability to Buyer’s Customers.
Buyer agrees to limit liability to its customers to the fullest extent permitted by law. Buyer acknowledges that ADI shall only be deemed to give
consumers of its products such statutory warranties as may be required by law and at no time shall Buyer represent to its customers and/or users
of ADI products that ADI provides any additional warranties. By accepting the products, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Buyer assumes all
liability for, and agrees to indemnity and holdADI harmless against and defend ADI from, any and all suits, claims, demands, causes of action
and judgments relating to damages, whether for personal injury or to personal property, suffered by any person, firm, corporation or business
association, including but not limited to, Buyer’s customers and/or users of the products because of any failure of the products to detect and/or
warn of the danger for which the goods were designed or any other failure of the products whether or not such damages are caused or
contributed to by the sold or joint concurring negligence or fault of ADI.
4. Returns
Subject to the terms and conditions listed below, during the applicable warranty period, ADIwill replace Product or provide a credit at purchase at
its sole option free of charge any defective products returned prepaid. Any obligations ofADI to replace Limited Lifetime warranty products
pursuant to this warranty which result from defect are limited to the availability of replacement product. ADI reserves the right to replace any
such products with the then currently available products, or provide a credit in its sole discretion. In the event Buyer has a problem with any ADI
product, please call your localADI branch for return instructions:

Be sure to have the model number and the nature of the problem available. In the event of replacement, the return product will be credited to
Buyer’s account and a new invoice issued for the replacement item. ADI reserves the right to issue a credit only in lieu of replacement.
If any W Box Technologies product is found to be in good working order or such product’s inability to function properly is a result of user damage
or abuse, the product will be returned to Buyer in the same condition as received and Buyer shall be responsible for any return freight changes.
5. Governing Law
The laws of State of New York apply to this Limited Warranty.
6. Miscellaneous
Where any term of this Limited Warranty is prohibited by such laws, it shall be null and void, but the remainder of the Limited Warranty shall
remain in full force and effect.
Connected Equipment Guarantee
How Do You Open A Connected Equipment Claim?
1. For Connected Equipment Guarantee claims, contact CyberPower Systems at [phone] or write to Cyber Power Systems (USA),
Inc., 4241 12th Ave. E., STE 400, Shakopee, MN 55379, or send an e-mail message at [e-mail] for instructions, within 10
days of the occurrence.
2. When you contact CyberPower, identify the Product, the Purchase Date, and the item(s) of Connected Equipment. Have information on all
applicable insurance or other resources of recovery/payment that are available to the Initial Customer and Request a Claim Number.
3. You must provide a dated purchase receipt (or other proof of the original purchase) and provide a description of the damage to your
connected equipment.
4. Pack and ship the product to CyberPower and, if requested, the item(s) of Connected Equipment, a repair cost estimate for the damage to
the Connected Equipment, and all claim forms that CyberPower provides to you. Show the Claim Number on the shipping label or include
it with the product. You must prepay all shipping costs, you are responsible for packaging and shipment, and you must pay the
cost of the repair estimate.
How Long Do I Have To Make A Claim?
All claims must be made within ten days of the occurrence.
What Will CyberPower Do To Correct Problems?
CyberPower will inspect and examine the Product.
If it appears the UPS failed to protect any equipment plugged into it, CyberPower will send you forms for making your claim for the connected
equipment. CyberPower will repair or replace the equipment that was damaged because of the failure of the UPS or pay you the fair market
value (NOT REPLACEMENT COST) of the equipment at of the time of the damage. CyberPower uses Orion Blue Book, or other a third-party
valuation guides, or eBay, craigslist, or other source to establish that amount. The maximum liability is limited to $200,000 for the

The LCD display indicates a variety
of UPS operational conditions. All
descriptions apply when the UPS is
plugged into an AC outlet and turned
on or when the UPS is on battery.
