WARNING
DO NOT INGEST BATTERY, CHEMICAL BURN HAZARD
The remote control supplied with this product contains
a coin/button cell battery. If the coin/button cell battery
is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just
2 hours and can lead to death. Keep new and used bat-
teries away from children. If the battery compartment
does not close securely, stop using the product and keep
it away from children. If you think batteries might have
been swallowed or placed inside of the body, seek im-
mediate medical attention.
1. Press the tab and lift up on the Battery Cover and
temporarily place it aside.
Refer to figures 2 and 3.
2. Refering to figure 6, press
on the bottom edge of the
battery to release the battery
from the molded battery
socket. Then remove the
battery from inside of the
Remote Control.
3. Reinstall the Battery Cover.
4. Store the battery in a cool dry place
for future use or dispose of the battery
in accordance with the local regula-
tions for lithium battery disposal. Bat-
teries should never be thrown away or
incinerated.
The Wadia m330 Remote Control uses a long life Lith-
ium Coin Cell type battery. The m330 may be sup-
plied with a battery depending on the country where
the m330 is purchased. When purchasing a battery for
use in the m330 refer to the following list:
Approved Lithium Batteries
Brand IEC No. ANSI/NEDA No.
Energizer CR203215004LC1
Panasonic CR2032(PA/1B)15004LC1
1CR Lithium Coin Cells contain Perchlorate Material - special handling
may apply. For additional information go to www.dtsc.ca.gov/hazaedous
waste/perchlorate/index.cfm
Access to the recessed battery compartment is located
on the Rear of the Remote Control. Refer to figure 1.
Perform the following steps to install the battery:
1. Press the tab towards the bottom edge of the
Remote Control and lift up on the Battery Cover

mote Control when it is not to be used for an extended
period of time. This will help to extend battery life
and avoid possible damage to the Remote Control.
Perform the following steps to remove the battery
from the Remote Control:
2. Remove the CR2032 Battery from
its packaging.
3. Orient the battery so the + symbol
(engraved into one side of the bat-

10. Mobile Device Apps, for remote control opera-
tion of the m330, were not available at the time
this Owner’s Manual was printed. When the Apps
become available, an announcement will be made
on the Wadia Web Site at www.Wadia.com/en-us/
products/m330. Please note, for remote operation
via mobile devices the m330 needs to be connect-
ed to a home network with wi-fi capabilities.
1. For additional connection information, refer to the
owner’s manual(s) for any component(s) connected
to the m330 Media Server.
2. When the m330 Media Server is connected to an
audio system, playback of music already stored
on it may be listened to. To take full advantage
of the many features the m330 is capable of, such
as importing and storing additional music on the
Media Server, requires connection to a Computer
Network System.
3. For best performance, the speed of the Computer
Network the m330 Media Server would be con-
nected to should be 1 Gigabit or faster.
4. The m330 internal Digital to Analog Converter
Circuitry is designed to decode 2-channel PCM
(Pulse Code Modulation) Digital Signals. The
Digital Output Signal present at the Coaxial and
Optical Output Connectors is a 2-channel PCM
(Pulse Code Modulation).
5. The m330 is designed to be compatible with the
majority of Audio Power Amplifiers. However,
do to a wide range of Power Amplifier Designs, it
is important the input sensitivity of the amplifier
be at least 2 Volts. This will assure the playback
of most music recordings are reproduced with
adequate dynamic range. Check with your Wadia
Dealer for additional information.
6. The IR Input, with a 3.5mm mini phone jack, is
configured for non-Wadia IR sensors such as a
Xantech Model HL85BK Kit. Use a Connection
Block, such as a Xantech Model ZC21, when two
or more IR sensors need to be connected to the
m330.
7. When discarding the unit, comply with local rules
or regulations. Batteries should never be
thrown away or incinerated but disposed
of in accordance with the local regulations

The m330 is designed to be placed upright on a table
or shelf, standing on its feet. The ventilation require-
ments are shown.
Always provide adequate ventilation for your m330.
Cool operation ensures the longest possible operating
life for any electronic instrument. Do not install the
m330 directly above a heat generating device, such
as a Power Amplifier. Allow at least 2 inches (5.1cm)
above the top, 5/8 inches (1.6cm) below the bottom
and 1 inch (2.5cm) on each side of the m330, so that
airflow is not obstructed. Allow 20 inches (50.8cm) of

m330 Connections
The m330 has the ability to be remotely switched On/
Off from a Wadia Digital Decoder, Preamplifier or
A/V Control Center via the Trigger Control connec-
tion. The connection instructions below together with
the m330 Connection Diagram on the next page is
an example of a typical audio or audio/video system.
Your system may vary from this, however the actual
components would be connected in a similar manner.
For additional information refer to “Connector and
Cable Information” on page 4.
Trigger Control Connections:
1. Connect a Control Cable from the Digital De-
coder, Preamplifier or A/V Control Center Trigger
Out Jack to the TRIGGER IN Jack on the Wadia
m330 Media Server.
2. Optionally, connect a Control Cable from the
m330 Media Server TRIGGER OUT Jack to an-
other component.
3. Connect any additional components in a similar
manner, as outlined in steps 1 thru 3.
Digital Audio Connections:
4. Connect a Cable from the Wadia m330 Media
Server AUDIO OUTPUT SPDIF Optical output to
the Digital Optical 1 Input on the Digital Decoder,
Preamplifier or A/V Control Center.
Note: A Coaxial connection may be used instead of
the Optical Connection.
Digital Video Connections:
5. Connect a HDMI Cable between the HDMI Socket
on the Rear Panel of the m330 Media Server to a
HDMI Input Socket on the HD Monitor/TV.
Note: If the HD/Monitor/TV has a DVI Input
instead of a HDMI input, then connect a DVI
cable between the m330 and the HD/Monitor/
TV.
Network Connections:
6. Using a CAT 5/6 Ethernet Cable, connect the cable
from the Router to the NET (Network) connector
on the Rear Panel of the m330.
7. Optionally, Connect another CAT 5/6 Ethernet
Cable from the Computer (Network Connector) to
the Router.
Note: For additional information on Networks and
Network Connections refer to the documenta-
tion supplied with the Router and Computer.
AC Power Cords Connections:
8. Locate the plug at the end of the cable coming out
of the supplied AC/DC Power Supply and connect
it to the DC Input connector on the Rear Panel of
the m330 Media Server.
9. Connect the supplied AC Power Cord between the
socket on the AC/DC Power Supply and a live AC
outlet (that is always On).
