9.
-Using the Removable Bumpers
To install the Removable Bumpers (7) on the
side
of
the playfield, lift up the locking
mechanism on each end ofthe Removable
Bumper simultaneously and insert the latch into
the receiver on the floor
of
the gutter as shown
in
FIG.
9.
Once both latches are inserted,
release the locking mechanism to secure the
bumper to the table. To remove the bumper
from the side
of
playfield, lift up the locking
mechanism on each end of bumper
simultaneously as shown
in
the inset drawing
of
FIG. 9 and lift the bumper out. Make certain to
insert the Rubber Plugs (Q) into the receiver
on
the floor
of
the gutter anytime the bumpers are
not used. This will keep the wax from falling into
the receiver.
10.-Leveling the Shuffleboard Table
You may use the Level (K) provided to check the level of
the Shuffleboard Table. To level the Table left to right,
place the Level
on
the line between number 2 and 3 near
the end
of
table with the arrow pointing up as shown
in
FIG. 1

The bubble must rest EXACTLY
in
the middle
of
the two black lines
on
the Level for the table to
be
level
and ready for play. Ifthe bubble is not EXACTLY
in
the
middle of the two black lines
on
the Level, the table may
not be level and game play may be affected. Ifthe bubble
is not EXACTLY
in
the middle
of
the two black lines, use
the Leg Levelers (G) which were previously installed, to
adjust the Table as necessary to make it level as shown
in
FIG. 108. This process will require the assistance of other
adults to lift the table so that the Leg Levelers can
be
adjusted. Once the Shuffleboard Table
is
leveled left to
right, it must be checked to see
if
it
is
level end to end. To
do this place the Level
in
the middle
of
the Shuffleboard
Table as shown
in
Fig. 1

Ifthe bubble
is
not
EXACTLY
in
the middle of the black lines, you may use
the Leg Levelers to adjust the table as necessary to make
it level. NOTE: You may have to make several small
adjustments to get the table level both left to right and end
to end.
