This manual contains all the informaon necessary to install, use and maintain the Whisper Power
Lithium Power Plus baery. We kindly ask you to read this manual carefully before using the prod-
uct. In this manual, the Whisper Power WP-Lithium Power Plus 12 V/105 Ah Lithium Power Plus
baery will be referred to as: the Lithium Power Plus baery.
This manual is meant for the installer and the user of the Lithium Power Plus baery. Only quali-
ed, cered personnel may install and perform maintenance on the Lithium Power Plus baery.
Please consult the index at the start of this manual to locate informaon relevant to you.
The boundaries of its use, as described in this manual should always be upheld. The Lithium Power
Plus baery may not be used in medical or in aviaon related applicaons. The Lithium Power
Plus baery may not be used for any purposes other than described in this manual. Using the
Lithium Power Plus baery for any other purpose will be considered improper use and will void
the warranty of the product. Whisper Power cannot be held responsible for any damage caused
by improper, incorrect or unwise use of the product. Read and understand this manual completely
before using the product.
During the use of the product, user safety should always be ensured, so installers, users, service
personnel and third pares can safely use the Lithium Power Plus baery. This is the original

1. Introduction
1.1. Product description
The WP-Lithium Power Plus 12 V/105 Ah is a Lithium Iron Phosphate rechargeable baery.
The unique combinaon of state-of-the art technology and smart soware makes this
Lithium baery a robust, safe and easy to use energy storage soluon.
The Lithium Power Plus baery uses exceponally safe Lithium Iron phosphate (LiFePO4)
technology. With its integrated baery management system the Lithium Power Plus baery
is protected from deep discharging, overcharging and overheang.
Cauon!External disconnect device is required!
1.2. Intended use
The WP-Lithium Power Plus 12 V/105 Ah baery serves as a energy source of 12V in power
systems for recreaonal vehicles, commercial vehicles, leisure boats, commercial vessels
and staonary applicaons. Potenal applicaons of this Lithium Power Plus baery in-
clude: o grid power supply, marine power supply, medium for (renewable) energy storage
and (tracon) baery for vehicles.Use as a starter baery is not possible. Up to 4 baeries
can be connected in series or in parallel to increase the total capacity up to 420 Ah. For
more baeries in series or parallel always consult with WhisperPower.
1.3. Glossary of Terminology
BMS Baery Managent System
Charge cycle A period of use from fully charged, to fully discharged, and fully recharged
again.
Endurance Life-cycle The products maximum lifespan, achieved by following the guidelines
presented in this manual.

Warning! The Lithium Power Plus baery may only be used in condions specied in this
manual. Exposing the Lithium Power Plus baery to condions outside the
specied boundaries may lead to serious damage to the product and/or the
user.

Use the Lithium Power Plus baery in a dry, clean, dust free, well venlated space. Do not
expose the Lithium Power Plus baery to re or water or solvents.
When the Lithium Power Plus baery is placed in an enclosed environment without air
circulaon, it is advised to provide 2 venlaon holes of 100mm x 100mm each. This helps
to prevent the heat built-up.

2.8. Peripheral equipment
2.8.1. Obligatory
In order for the Lithium Power Plus baery to be used safely, a WIB or BCI in
combinaon with an external disconnect device must be installed. If an external
switch o device is not installed the warranty of the baery will be void.

3. Safety guidelines and measures
3.1. General
• Do not short-circuit the Lithium Power Plus baery.
• Treat the Lithium Power Plus baery as described in this manual.
• Do not dismantle, crush, puncture, open or shred the baery.
• Do not expose the Lithium Power Plus baery to heat or re. Avoid exposure to
direct sunlight.
• Do not remove the Lithium Power Plus baery from its original packaging unl
required for use.
• In the event of the Lithium Power Plus baery leaking, do not allow the liquid to
come in contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the aected
area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
• Do not use any charger other than that specically provided for use with the Lithium
Power Plus baery.
• Observe the plus (+) and minus (–) marks on the Lithium Power Plus baery and
equipment and ensure correct use.
• Do not use any baery which is not designed for use with the Lithium Power Plus
baery.
• Do not mix baeries of dierent manufacture, capacity, size or type within a device.
• Keep the Lithium Power Plus baery clean and dry.
• Secondary baeries need to be charged before use. Always use the correct charger
and refer this manual for proper charging instrucons.
• Do not leave the Lithium Power Plus baery on prolonged charge when not in use.
• Aer extended periods of storage, it may be necessary to charge and discharge the
Lithium Power Plus baery several mes to obtain maximum performance.
• Retain the original product documentaon for future reference.
• Remove the Lithium Power Plus baery from the equipment when not in use.
• Do not charge the Lithium Power Plus baery below 0oC
Warning!Keep the Lithium Power Plus baery away from water, dust and contaminaon.
Place the Lithium Power Plus baery in well venlated areas.
3.2. Disposal
Dispose of the Lithium Power Plus baery in accordance with local, state and federal laws
and regulaons. Baeries may be returned to the manufacturer. Do not mix with other
(industrial) waste.

4. Installation
4.1. General information
Warning! Never install or use a damaged Lithium Power Plus baery.
Warning! Always use a proper fuse which ts the system needs.
Cauon! Do not reverse connect the Lithium Power Plus baery (polarity)
When connecng several baeries in series or parallel, always use baeries of the same
brand, type, age, capacity and state of charge.
4.2. Unpacking
Check the Lithium Power Plus baery for damage aer unpacking. If the Lithium Power
Plus baery is damaged, contact your reseller or Whisper Power. Do not install or use the
Lithium Power Plus baery if it is damaged!
4.3. Preparing the battery for use
Cauon!Do not operate the Lithium Power Plus baery beyond published maximum
specicaons.
Cauon!In case of an under-voltage shutdown, charge immediately.
Warning! Always remain within the limits indicated in chapter 2 during the use of the
Lithium Power Plus baery.
Cauon!This Lithium Power Plus baery stores fault condions internally, like excessive
charge current or deep discharge situaons. Whisper Power uses this informaon
in the warranty process
Warning! Do not overcharge the Lithium Power Plus baery.
4.3.1. Placement of the battery
Before it is used, the Lithium Power Plus baery must be posioned in such a way that it
will not move around in its compartment during use. If necessary, the Lithium Power Plus
baery may be xed in place by means of mounng brackets. Fixing posions for brackets
are at the boom of the tall sides of the baery.
4.4. Connection wires
Use appropriate wire for the connecon wires to ensure no overheang or unnecessary
losses occur. Use appropriate fuses matching the wires and load.
WhisperPower recommends to use at least 70 mm2 conductors for short lengths and higher rang
for longer distances.

Cauon! Smaller diameter wires can cause overheang or necessary losses and shall be
avoided.
Cauon! Use appropriate rang for fuse for your system, place fuse in holder near the +
(plus) connecon of the baery.
4.5. Installing the mandatory Battery Disconnect device
Warning! Always connect the relay between the + or - terminal of the baery and
the load.
Warning! Never use the Lithium Power Plus baery without a properly installed Baery
Disconnect device (WIB or BCI with relay).
4.5.1. Using the WP WIB (WhisperPower Interface Box)
Warning!Do not connect a load or charger directly on the Lithium Power Plus
baery, always connect these devices at the load side of the WIB.

Cauon! For more than 4 Lithium Power Plus baeries in parallel connecon consult
Whisper Power or your dealer.
Cauon!Depending on the installaon a pre charge circuit is needed. For further infor-
maon consult Whisper Power or your dealer.
Cauon! When baeries are placed in parallel conguraon, the used disconnect device
(relay) shall be suitable for the current used by the applicaon.

OK: Equally divided baery current.
All baeries contribute equally to the current into the load.
NOT OK: Current not equally divided.
Baeries closest to load will have the highest contribuon to the current into the
load.
Whereas baeries further away from load will have lesser current contribuon.
Wear and tear will be higher on the Lithium Power Plus baery close to the load.
