Safety Precautions
Warning: PRODUCT USE LIMITATION. Not for use in patient connected applications; including but not limited to
medical and dental use, nuclear or other high risk applications where failure of the system could reasonably be expected to
cause a hazard. Customers are responsible to check suitability of pumped media with the pump. The manufacturer cannot
be held responsible for any damage or loss as a result of the use of this pump.
Warning: Tubing breakage may result in fluid being sprayed from the pump. Use appropriate measures to protect
operator.
Warning: Turn pump off before opening the pump, moving or installing tubing. Fingers or loose clothing could get
caught in the drive.
Warning: If this pump is used in a manner not described, the protection provided by this equipment may be impaired.
Introduction and general description
These pumps are designed to provide fluid transfer for a wide range of dosing and fluid transfer applications.
The tube in a peristaltic pump is a wearing part and is not covered by warranty and the tube life expectancy should be taken into
consideration when assessing the pump’s suitability for use.
The pump is designed to either be on/off fixed flow operation in manual mode (F option) or variable speed control via the speed
controller supplied (V option).
The pump operates on the peristaltic principle, limiting contact of the fluid to the tubing material and connectors.
Pump set up and installation
The peristaltic pump is supplied with tubing fitted ready for installation in your application. The pump is designed to be mounted
horizontally with the inlet and outlet connectors pointing downwards, other orientations are not recommended.
The pump should rotate in a clockwise (cw) direction. Connect the suction side to the left tubing spigot and the discharge side to the
right (when looking at the pump head face on).
Connect the pump as per the wiring information provided. It is essential you verify the voltage and current specifications are
compatible with the power requirements of the pump.
Tubing replacement
DANGER: Always turn the pump off and disconnect from the power source before attempting to change the peristaltic tubing.
Remove retaining screws and lift off front cover of the pump head to access the pump tubing. Remove tubing carefully from the pump
housing and pull old tube away from connectors (if cutting the tube to free it, ensure that the barbs are not damaged as this could
cause leakage when they are re-fitted). To install new tubing fit over connectors making sure the tube bottoms out on the end stop on
the connector and ensuring the flats on the connector are lined up so that the tube will not twist when fitted into the pump. Using HT5
lubricant, spread a film of lubricant over the working surfaces of the tube (this will help to refit the new tube and will increase tube life).
Locate the connectors into the lower pump body and carefully feed the tube around the rollers, taking extra care to squeeze the tube
between the roller and pump body until it is in the centre of the pump track. Then reposition the pump cover and pull down to
compress the tube and in to meet the pump housing. take extra care not to nip the tube between the two pump housings as this can
cause premature tube failure. Refit the screws and then check pump operation.
Cleaning
Always disconnect the pump from power supply before cleaning.
Pump housing is composed of Nylon. Clean with a damp cloth only. Do not immerse pump in liquid or use excessive liquid.

Verify power cord is connected properly
Reduced or complete loss of flow when pump is running Ensure suction tube is not blocked or restricted
Ensure tube is securely fitted on suction spigot
Remove front cover and check peristaltic tube is intact (see tubing replacement section)
Fluid leakage around pump housing Ensure suction & discharge tubes are securely fitted to inlet/outlet spigots
Ensure no leaks on suction/discharge tubes
Remove front cover and check peristaltic tube is intact (see tubing replacement section)
If solutions do not work & for all other problems contact Williamson Manufacturing company Ltd or your local distributor.
