Press the release button (H) on the rear of the machine to pop up the cover of the bobbin
compartment (N). Remove cover by lifting up where it has popped up at rear.
Place the bobbin with the thread of your choice in the bobbin compartment (N) leaving about 12cm
of the thread extended out from the bobbin compartment (N).
Raise the presser foot (F) by pulling the presser foot lever up (G).
Raise the needle (R) by turning the hand-wheel (K) towards you.
Lay the thread out straight making sure it aligns over the hole directly below the needle (R).
Turn the hand wheel (K) towards you until the needle (R) has moved down and then up again picking
up the bobbin thread.
Use some scissors or tweezers to bring both the spool thread and bobbin thread around to the side.
Lower the presser foot (F) by pushing the presser foot lever down (G) and bring the spool thread
around to the left of the machine. Pull it gently up and you will see it has caught the bobbin thread.
Pull the two threads toward the rear (away from you) and lay them under the presser foot (F)
Snap the bobbin compartment (N) cover down and into place. Replace the finger guard (Z).

To ensure a smooth and flat seam on both sides of
the fabric, a correct thread tension is needed.
To loosen the thread tension, turn the tension screw
(Q) to the left (-). Loosening the thread tension can
be very useful while threading the machine as it is
easier to pull thread through. Sewing on heavier
fabric may also benefit from a looser tension.
To tighten the tension turn the tension screw (Q) to
the right (+). Sewing on very light fabric may require
tighter tension.

You can wind your own bobbins with thread from spools you purchase separately. Make sure to
remove any bobbin already in the bobbin compartment (N) before you wind a new bobbin.
Place the thread spool (E) on the thread spindle (C).
Press down the bobbin winder handler (W), to raise up the bobbin winder spindle (T).
Take an empty bobbin. Take the loose end of the cotton thread and push it through one of the holes
of the bobbin (from the inside to the outside) leave about 2cm hanging outside. Wind the remaining
thread around the bobbin starting over not under. Do this 7-8 times to secure the line to the bobbin.
Place the bobbin on the bobbin winder spindle (T), making certain that the thread is winding around
the bobbin right to left.
Between the thread spool and the bobbin, wind the thread once all the way around the thread holder (I).
Press down the foot pedal or use the auto sew mode. The machine will then start to wind thread onto
the bobbin. When the bobbin is full. Lift your foot o the pedal or switch o the auto sew mode.
Lift the bobbin up away from bobbin winder spindle (T).
Press down the bobbin winder handler (W) to lower the bobbin winder spindle (T).

You can use the stitch length adjustment dial (U) to
change the stitch length when sewing.
Turn the dial all the way to the left in order to get
the longest stitch length. This is recommended for
normal sewing.
By turning the dial towards the middle, the stitch
length will be reduced.
When the dial is set to the middle point, the stitch
length will become zero, therefore the fabric will not
move forward.
Turning the dial all the way to the right will put the
machine into reverse. This is useful for backstitching
to secure seams in place and stop them from
unravelling.

Start by removing the finger guard (Z) by squeezing in the 2 sides and pulling it out towards you.
Turn the hand-wheel (K) away from you to raise the needle (R) to its highest position.
Loosen the needle clamp (O) by turning the clamp screw toward you. You may need to use a small
flat headed screwdriver, small pliers or a coin.
Remove the needle (R) by pulling it down, away from the needle clamp (O).
Place the new needle (R) with the flat side facing in against the needle clamp (O).
Push it gently as far up as it will go, and against the needle clamp (O).
Tighten the needle clamp screw (O) while holding the needle (R) in place.
Replace the finger guard (Z).
Note: Needles come in various sizes. The smaller the number, the thinner the needle. Use smaller
needles for more delicate fabrics and larger needles for heavier fabrics.
