Vielen Dank für Ihren Kauf von EX-MOB-31. Diese Box wird als Laufwerksgehäuse der 2.5’’
IDE Festplatte verwendet und passt in Ihre Tasche, sodass Sie sie überall hin mitnehmen können.
Sie wird einfach über ein USB-Kabel an Ihren Computer angeschlossen. Da das USB-Kabel
dieses Gerät ebenfalls mit Strom versorgt, wird keine externe Stromquelle benötigt. Plug and Play,
Hot-Plug und Hot-Swap machen es zu einem praktischen Gerät, das leicht verwendbar
ist. Mit einer Übertragungsrate von bis zu 480 Mbps (Leistungsmerkmal von USB 2.0) bietet
dieses Gerät ebenfalls eine hohe Leistungsfähigkeit. mit diesem Gerät können Sie alle Dateien
mitnehmen, wo immer Sie auch hingehen. Dieses Gerät ist kompatible für PCs, Macs, Laptop und
Desktop.

3: Pflege und Handhabung dieses Geräts
 Vor Entfernen des Gerätes oder Abschalten des Computers, Rechtsklick auf das Symbol

Gerät entfernen (in der unteren rechten Ecke des Bildschirms), dann dieses Gerät ausschalten.
 Wie bei allen Festplatten wird empfohlen, regelmäßig ein Backup der Daten zu erstellen, um
diese vor dem unwahrscheinliche Fall eines Datenverlustes zu schützen.
 Entfernen Sie dieses Gerät nicht von Ihrem Computer, während es Daten ausliest oder
überschreibt. Dies kann die Festplatte beschädigen.
 Bei einer neuen Festplatte muss zunächst eine Partitionierung und Formatierung erfolgen,
bevor sie verwendet werden kann.
 Platzieren Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe einer Hitzequelle und setzen Sie es keiner direkten
Feuer- oder Hitzequelle aus.
 Platzieren Sie das Gerät niemals in der Nähe von Geräten, die starke elektromagnetische
Felder erzeugen. Wenn das Gerät einem starken Magnetfeld ausgesetzt ist, kann dies zu
Funktionsstörungen führen oder Daten können unlesbar werden.
4:Hardware Einbau
Öffnen Sie den Deckel des Gehäuses. Drücken Sie die Festplatte fest in die Fassung. Ziehen Sie
anschließend die Schrauben fest und verschließen Sie
den Deckel. Schließen Sie das USB-Kabel an den USB-Port an Ihrem Computer an. Verbinden Sie
anschließend das andere Ende des USB-Kabels mit dem vorderen Ende dieses Gerätes. Die
LED-Lampe blinkt, dies bedeutet, dass die Festplatte gelesen wird. Der Einbau der Hardware ist
nun abgeschlossen.
5: Software Installation
Für Windows Me / 2000 / XP ist keine Softwareinstallation erforderlich.
Windows 98 unterstützt keine Standardtreiber für Massenspeichergeräte. Sie müssen den Treiber
installieren, der mit diesem Produkt geliefert wurde.
Die Treiberinstallation bei Windows 98 ist sehr einfach. Wenn Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal an
den USB-Port anschließen, wird das System anzeigen, dass es ein neues Gerät erkannt hat. Sie
legen die Installations-CD in das CD-ROM-Laufwerk. Folgen Sie dann dem Systemassistenzen
zur Installation und schließen Sie den Installationsvorgang ab.
Wenn das System Ihre USB-Festplatte angenommen hat, erscheint ein Symbol zum Entfernen des
Gerätes in der unteren rechten Ecke des Bildschirms. Bei einer neu gekauften Festplatte befinden
sich keine Partitionierungsinformationen auf ihr, es handelt sich um eine so genannte Blind Disk.
Sie müssen eine Blind Disk partitionieren bevor Sie sie verwenden können (durch Ausführung von
FDISK im MS-DOS-MODUS inn Windows 98 / Me oder durch Klick auf Systemsteuerung ->
Gerätemanager -> Computermanager ->Festplattenmanager in Windows 2000 / XP ).
Die Anweisungen zur Partitionierung und Formatierung der Festplatte entnehmen Sie bitten den
entsprechenden Unterlagen. Wir empfehlen Ihnen, diese Vorgänge von einer Fachperson
durchführen zu lassen.
Partitionierung und Formatierung
Das Verfahren ist das gleiche wie bei der Verwendung der HDD im IDE-Modus. Eine neue

Festplatte mit vor der Verwendung partitioniert und formatiert werden.
Achtung: Bitte seien Sie vorsichtig bei der Auswahl des Befehls zur Partitionierung und
Formatierung der Festplatte, nach die Partitionierung und Formatierung abgeschlossen ist, werden
alle Daten auf der Festplatte gelöscht.
Win 98 / ME
Partitionierung
Schließen Sie bitte die externe Festplatte an den Computer an. Gehen Sie in den DOS-Modus
durch "Start" -> "Programme" -> "MS-DOS Eingabeaufforderung". Tippen Sie dann FDISK ein
und befolgen Sie die Anweisungen für die Festplattenpartitionierung.
Formatierung:
Erfolgt nach Abschluss der Partitionierung. Bitte die Festplatte sicher entfernen und vom Gerät
entfernen, indem Sie den Anweisungen zu "Gerät entfernen" in dieser Anleitung befolgen. Dann
die externe Festplatte wieder anschließen. In "Mein Arbeitsplatz" wird Ihnen die partitionierte
Festplatte angezeigt. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf das Festplatten-Symbol und
wählen Sie dann "Formatieren". Befolgen Sie einfach die Anweisungen zur
Festplattenformatierung.
Win 2000 / XP
Partitionierung und Formatierung:
Schließen Sie bitte die externe Festplatte an den Computer an. Bitte folgen Sie folgendem Pfad
"Start" -> "Einstellungen" ->"Verwaltungsdienste" -> "Computermanagement" ->
"Festplattenmanagement", um sich Ihre neue externe Festplatte anzeigen zu lassen. Klicken Sie
mit der rechten Maustaste auf "Partitionierung erstellen", um die Assistenten zur Erstellung der
Partitionierung zu starten. Befolgen Sie einfach die Anweisungen und wählen Sie die
Schnellformatierung für eine gleichzeitige Partitionierung und Formatierung.
Mac
Bei jedem Mac-BS, wenn die die unformatierte externe Festplatte an Ihren Mac anschließen. Der
Mac wird Sie fragen, ob Sie eine Formatierung durchführen müssen. Klicken Sie einfach auf
Formatieren und befolgen Sie die Anweisungen.
6: One-Touch-Backup-Funktion
A．INSTALLATION DER OTB-SOFTWARE
1. Schließen Sie alle Programme vor der Installation, doppelklicken Sie auf
，folgende Fenster werden angezeigt:

2.Klicken Sie auf “WEITER”
3. Die Installation beginnt und es erscheint “Setup Status”(wenn eine Anzeige auftaucht, um
die Installation zu verhindern, wählen Sie bitte Nein Stoppen)

4. Wählen Sie Computer jetzt oder später neustarten
5. Nach dem Neustart erfolgt die Programminstallation an folgenden Orten
Die iBackup Anwendung wird installiert auf C:\Program Files\iBackup
Die iBackup Anwendung wird installiert auf 开始\所有程式\iBackup\iBackup

Die iBackup Anwendung wird installiert auf 桌面\iBackup
B. Anwendung der OTB-Software。
1:Starten Sie die Software neu und schließen Sie das Festplattengehäuse an, iBackup startet
folgende Grenzmerkmale neu
Der Neustart erfolgt automatisch oder durch Doppelklick auf .
2. Klicken Sie auf “√”am Zeilenanfang des benötigten Backup-Ordners

3. Wählen Sie die Zielfestplatten aus.

4. Klicken Sie die Backup-Taste auf der Gehäuse (oder klicken Sie auf die Backup-Schaltfläche
im Fenster oder verwenden Sie die Schaltfläche in den Fenstern),folgende Fenster werden sich
öffnen, tragen Sie einen neuen Arbeitstitel ein, klicken Sie anschließend auf OK und das
Programm wird das Backup automatisch ausführen.
5．Nach Fertigstellen des Backups erscheinen die Ordner, für die ein Backup erfolgte, in der
Zielfestplatte. Das Programm wird sich danach automatisch zum Icon Ablage bewegen.

C Wiederherstellen der Backup-Dokumente
1. Öffnen Sie die Backup-Software, klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Öffnen, wählen Sie die
benötigten Backup-INI-Dokumente (wie nachfolgend) aus und klicken Sie dann auf die
Schaltfläche OK. Klicken Sie dann auf die Schaltfläche Wiederherstellen. Nach Fertigstellen der
Wiederherstellung sind die ursprünglichen Dateiinhalte wiederhergestellt. Zuletzt verschieben Sie
das Fenster in die Systemablage.

your pocket， so you can take it anywhere. It connects to your computer just via a USB cable.
Because the USB cable also supplies power to this device, so no external power supply is
required.

3: Care and Handling of this device
 Before unpluging this device or turning off your computer, right click the remove-device icon
( on the right-bottom corner of the screen) , then power off this device.

 As with all hard disk drives, it is recommended that the data is backed up regularly to protect
up on the unlikely event of data failure.
 Don’t move or disconnect this device from your computer while it is reading or writing data.
This may cause damage to the hard disk.
 For a new hard disk, Must do partition and format before you can use.
 Do not place this device near a heat source or expose them to direct flame or heat.
 Never place the product in close to equipment generating strong electromagnetic fields.
Exposure to strong magnetic fields may cause malfunctions or corrupt data.
4:Hardware Installation
Open the box’s cover. Push the hard disk to the socket tightly. Then fasten the screws and close
the cover. Plug the USB cable to the USB port located one your computer. Next, connect the other
end of the USB cable to the front end of this device. LED light blinking，it means reading hard
disk. Then the hardware installation is completed.
5:Software Installation
For Windows Me / 2000 / XP, there is not any software installation required.
Windows 98 does not support default Mass Storage Driver. You have to install the driver bundled
with this product.
The Windows 98 driver installation is very easy. When you connect the device to the USB port in
the first time. The system would say it find a new device. You insert the installation CD to the
CD-ROM. Then follow the system’s installation wizard to finish the installation procedure.
If the system accept your USB hard disk, a Remove-Device icon will appear in the bottom-right
corner of the screen. For a new purchased hard disk, there are no any partition information in it,
we call it a blind-disk. You must partition a blind-disk before you can use it (by run FDISK in
Windows 98/Me’s MS-DOS mode, or by click control-panel -> manage-tool -> computer manage
->disk manage in Windows 2000 / XP ).
How to partition and format a hard disk please refer to relative documents. We strongly
recommend those operations should be done by a professional person.
Partition and Format
Like use HDD in IDE mode. A newly HDD must be partition and format before it can be use.
Caution: Please be careful in selecting the HDD to be partitioned and formatted, once the partition
and format is done then all of the file on the HDD will be erased.
Win 98 / ME
Partition
Please plug in the external HDD to the PC. Enter the DOS mode through "Start"->"Programs"->
"MS-DOS Prompt". Then just type in FDISK and follow the directions to do the disk partition.
Format:

After the partition is done. Please safely remove and unplugged the disk, by following the "Device
Remove" in this manual. Then re-plug in the external HDD again. You will see the partitioned
HDD in "My Computer" and right click on this HDD icon then select "Format". Just follow the
directions to format the HDD.
Win 2000 / XP
Partition and Format:
Please plug in the external HDD to the PC. Please follow the following path "Start" -> "Setting"
->"Administrative Tools" -> "Computer Management" -> "Disk Management" to find your new
external HDD. Just right click it to select "Create Partition" to enter Create Partition Wizard. Just
follow the instructions, and select quick format to do partition and format all at once.
Mac
In any Mac OS, if you plug in your unformatted external HDD to your Mac. The Mac will ask you
if you need to format. Just click on format and follow the directions.
6:One-Touch-Backup function
A．INSTALL OTB SOFTWARE
1.Closing the others program before installing，double-click ，Appear
the following windows:
2.Click “NEXT”

3.Beginning Install and appear “step status”(If point out prevent to install, pls select no stop)
4.Select reboot computer now or later

5.After rebooting, program install at the following places
iBackup Application will be installed on C:\Program Files\iBackup
iBackup Application will be installed on 开始\所有程式\iBackup\iBackup
iBackup Application will be installed on 桌面\iBackup
B.The use of OTB software。
1:Reboot software and connect HDD enclosure ,ibackup will reboot the following boundary
Automatically or double click to reboot.

2.Click “√”at the front of needed backup’s folder

3.Choose destination hard disks.

4. click Backup button on the enclosure,(or click Backup button in the windows，or apply button
in the windows),will popup the following Windows,input a new job name,then click ok button,the
program auto run backup .
5．After backup finished .folders you backuped appeared in destination hard disk. And program
will narrow to tray icon automatically

C .restore backup documents
1.Open backup software, click open job button, select needed backup INI documents(as following)
Next click ok button. Then click restore button. Restore finish, documents will be restore to
original file content. At last narrow to system tray icon.
