When using the electrical appliance, the following basic
safety precautions should always be followed.
Please read these instructions carefully. Pay your special
attention to important safety instructions. Keep this
“Instructions for use” for future reference.
•Before connecting the appliance. Check if the voltage
indicated on the rating plate corresponds with the mains
voltage in your home.
•The user must not leave the iron unattended while
connected to the supply.
•The plug of the supply cord must be removed from the
socket-outlet before the water reservoir is filled with
water.
•The iron shall be used on a stable ironing board.
•The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
•When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the
surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its service agent or similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
•The iron shall not be used if the iron has been dropped at
any time, or if there are visible signs of damage or if the
iron is leaking.
•The iron shall be sent to the manufacturer or his qualified
service agent before further use.
•This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
GENERAL INSTRUCTION
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

•Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
•Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handle or knobs.
•To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord,
plugs, or appliances in water or other liquid.
•Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is
used by or near children.
•Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before storing.
•Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or
plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been
damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the factory
for examination, repair or adjustment.
•The use of accessory attachments not recommended by
the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
•Do not use outdoors. Do not let cord hang over the edge
of the table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
•Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in
a heated oven.
•To disconnect. Remove plug from outlet. Let iron cool
completely before putting away.
•Loop cord loosely around iron when storing.
•If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-
ampere cord should be used.
•Do not use this appliance for anything else other than its
intended use. This appliance is for household use only.
WARNING: Do not use the device near water, over the bath tub,
pool or other water basin.
*Observe the above-mentioned rules in order to avoid burning,
electric shock or fire hazard. Make sure you understand the
instructions.

a) Always check first if a label with ironing instructions is
attached to the article to be ironed. (See table)
b) Follow these ironing instructions in all cases.
c) If ironing instructions are missing but you know the kind
of fabric, then see the table for recommended ironing
temperatures.
d) The table is valid for the fiber materials only.
e) If some kind of finish has been applied (gloss, wrinkle
relief etc.). The textile can best be ironed at a lower
temperature.
f) First sort out the fabrics according to ironing
temperature: wool with wool, cotton with cotton, etc.
g) The iron heats up quicker than it cool down. Therefore,
start ironing the articles requiring the lowest temperature
such as those made of synthetic fabrics.
h) Then progress to the higher temperatures. Finish by
ironing cotton and linen.
i) If the article is made of a mixture of different fibers. You
must always select the lowest ironing temperature of the
composition of those fibers. (e.g.an article consisting of
“60% polyester and 40% cotton” should be ironed on the
temperature indicated for polyester.)
j) If you do not know what kind of fabric the article has
been made of find a spot which will be invisible when
wearing or using the article to try out the ironing
temperature. (Always start at a low temperature and
increase to one which gives the required results.)
k) Velvet and other textures which rapidly acquired should
be ironed in one direction only (with the nap) applying
only light pressure. Always keep the iron moving.
l) Iron the reverse side of synthetic materials and silk to
prevent shining spots. To prevent staining do not use the
spray on silk or other delicate fabrics.
IRON TEMPERATURE

a) Set the appropriate ironing temperature indicated in the
ironing instructions of in the fabric table by means of the
temperature dial.
b) Insert the mains plug into the wall socket. The pilot light
will now come on.
c) When the pilot light has gone out and has come on again
you can start ironing.
d) The pilot light will come on from time to time during
ironing. This has no effect on the ironing, so simply
continue.
e) If you set the temperature control to a lower setting after
ironing at a high temperature, do not recommence
ironing before the pilot light comes on again.
a) Iron with a straight back. Adjust the height of the ironing
board so that the handle of the iron is on the same level
as your elbow.
b) Pressing onto the iron is not necessary provided that the
temperature has been set correctly. Ironing is most
effective if the laundry is slightly damp.
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
IRONING TIPS

a) Place the iron on its rear side.
b) Set the temperature dial to position “MIN”.
c) Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
d) Let the iron cool down for at least 30minutes.
e) You can wind up the mains cord and then fox the cord
clip.
f) Store the iron standing on its rear side to prevent
damage soleplate.
a) Before cleaning remove the main plug from the wall
socket the iron to cool down sufficiently.
b) The appliance can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Dispose the appliance according to the local
garbage regulations.
Never throw it away to the rubbish, so you will
help to the improvement of the environment.
