Read these instructions carefully to familiarize yourself with the
product before fitting the CP 250 gas cartridge into the adapter.
Please retain these operating instructions for future reference.
1. Use: The CP 250 safety gas adapter has been developed for
the operation of WLD-TEC products independent of a central gas
supply. The adapter is fitted with a pressure regulator which
reduces the cartridge pressure to 50 mbar. Temperature range
when using cartridges is +10°C - +40°C. Avoid temperatures
above +50°C. Operate the adapter CP 250 on a level surface
and in the showen position (horizontal) , only! Pay attention
to the instruction for "technical rules liquid gas" (TRF).

2. Connection:Before connecting or changing the gas cartridge
adapter turn off the laboratory gas burner.
A nozzle for natural gas (08)or (N) has been installed into the gas
burner at the factory. The nozzle is to be replaced by one suitable
for the CP 250 cartridge, butane gas (06) or (P). (The suitable
nozzle (06 / P) is in the delivery of the gas burner included).
Please see the instruction manual of the laboratory gas burner for
further information.
Connect one end of the DVGW gas hose (1)to the gas connection
(2) of the adapter and the other end to the gas connector of the
laboratory gas burner. Ensure that all gas connections are gas-
tight and that they are screwed tight (left-handed threads). Ensure
gas proofness with a suitable test fluid / equipment. See warnings.
2.1 Fitting a new cartridge: Pay attention to the warning on the
back. Do not use any cartridges which are dented. Ensure that the
gas burner is switched off. Ensure that the two seals (5 & 6) of the
adapter are in good condition and in the proper position. In case
of damages order replacement sealings:
-O-Ring-sealing, outer (5):Art.-No.: 6.010.820
- O-Ring-sealing inner (6): Art.-No.: 6.011.820
Before inserting the gas cartridge (3) turn the cartridge
connector (4) into correct position by turning it a few degrees
counter-clockwise to the stop (see Fig. 2). Then, hold the
adapter tightly and insert the cartridge CP 250 (3) plain into the
cartridge connector (4) of the adapter. Take care that the slot
(8) of the cartridge fits to the guide lug (7) of the adapter.
To interlock the cartridge, turn the cartridge connector (4) with gas
cartridge (3) a few degrees clockwise to the end position (see
Fig. 4). The end position of the locked cartridge is shown in Fig. 1.
If you suspect a leak, follow the safety instructions on the back.
2.2 Operating the unit: Operate the gas safety adapter CP 250
only in a horizontal position. When operating the burner for the first
time turn the gas regulation knob two revolutions to the left and turn
the air regulator to full air supply (+). There is additional operating
information in "Operating Instructions" of the laboratory gas burner
beginning in the paragraph "Operating Procedure". When operating
this unit please read instructions thoroughly.
2.3 Taking the unit out of operation: After completing your work
or if you have to leave the burner unattended for a longer period of
time, switch off the gas burner and disconnect the cartridge by
removing the gas cartridge (3) from the adapter.
Therefore turn the cartridge connector (4) with gas cartridge (3)a
few degrees counter-clockwise to the stop and take the cartridge
off (see Fig . 5).
2.4 Changing an empty cartridge: The cartridge (3) can also be
replaced before it is empty, since this type of cartridge has a built-
in valve.
The replacement is always to be performed at a well-ventilated
location and away from any source of ignition.Ensure that the gas
burner is switched off.
To remove the gas cartridge (3), turn the cartridge connector (4)
with the gas cartridge (3) a few degrees counter-clockwise to the
stop and take the cartridge off (see Fig . 5).
Never throw away a cartridge which still contains gas.(shake the
cartridge and if you hear the sound of liquid there is still gas
remaining). Read also the instructions of the gas cartridge.
Fitting a new cartridge see paragraph 2.1
3. Warranty: 2 - year warranty on parts and labor excluding
damage caused by improper operation, unauthorized changes in
design and unqualified service.
