Use this unit only with the correct voltage as shown on the type label !
Do not expose the unit to heat or moisture !
Protect the unit from excessive shocks !
Make sure that sufficient air circulation for cooling the unit is possible!
If there is any abnormality (abnormal noise, smell, smoke etc.) disconnect the unit from mains
immediately and contact your WolfVision dealer!
Do not use a damaged power supply / power cord. This may cause short circuits or electrical
shocks!
To prevent danger, do not modify the unit or operate without the cover panel firmly in place!
Do not expose the unit to water, metallic objects or any flammable material.
Avoid installing the unit in locations exposed to strong magnetic fields or electrical currents.
Avoid installing the unit in environments where there is radiation. This could cause monitor
image distortion or damage the image sensor of the camera.
Do not pull the plug from the power socket with wet hands!
If the Visualizer is not used for a long time, disconnect it from mains!
The external power supply has to be approved by CSA or UL in accordance to CSA 22.2-60950 or
UL 1950. The outputs have to be LPS (limited power source) rated!

Where you can get the Code to activate the Feature Pack
The Feature Pack code is a unique number and it depends on the serial number of the Visualizer.
The code can be supplied by your dealer (together with the Visualizer or separately).
Any questions regarding Feature Pack code availability, please contact either your dealer or WolfVision
directly (contact details on the last page of this manual).
Introduction
Selected WolfVision Visualizers and cameras are offering the possibility to upgrade using an optional
Feature Pack which adds additional functionality. This upgrade is activated by loading a valid Feature Pack
code.
Currently available add-on features of BYOD Pack are:
- Picture in Picture Mode for Live to Freeze comparison
- User defined settings can be stored on USB stick
- Fading effects, for seamless cross-fading between different image sources
- WLAN support with USB WLAN-dongle (additional Hardware supplied)
- vSolution Connect by WolfVision support (tablet)
Additional features may be added in the future with later firmware versions.
Depending on unit, certain features be already available in the standard specification.
Depending on unit, USB stick for memory extension and user defined settings cannot be used
simultaneously with the USB WLAN-dongle due to lack of free ports.
Feature of streaming in is not available when vSolution Connect is in use with the Visualizer.
Important note:
The Feature Pack is not pre-installed and user activation is required!
Enable the Feature pack by using one of the two following methods:
1. Connect a pre-prepared USB stick to the Visualizer and follow the on-screen instructions
OR
2. Use the software vSolution Link by WolfVision, selecting the Administration tab, and then clicking on
Online/Offline Activation.
Please note that the latest firmware has to be installed on the Visualizer!
Using the prepared USB-Stick
- Connect a power source and a monitor to the Visualizer then switch on the Visualizer
- Plug in the USB stick.
- A pop-up message will ask if you want to enable the features.
- Use the navigation keys on the camera head to confirm the line “YES”.
Using the software vSolution Link by WolfVision
- Install the software vSolution Link by WolfVision onto your computer – be sure to install
administration functionality.
- Connect a power source and your PC via USB or LAN to the Visualizer and start the Software.
- Select the ribbon “Administration” and click on either Online or Offline activation:
Online activation requires an internet connection for the software
Offline activation requires the activation file or at least the activation code.

Please note that older versions of the software may not support Feature Pack activation.

Receive Stream - vSolution Connect by WolfVision (tablet)
The Visualizer supports receiving network streams from a tablet over the network.
Once the vSolution Connect app is downloaded to the tablet, connect the tablet to the same network as the
Visualizer and start the app. Then simply tap the ”Connect” icon, place it in the pick-up area of the Visualizer
camera and follow the instructions on the tablet. The synchronization will be done by a special red/blue
flashing sequence.
When the connection is established, documents from the tablet can be sent to the Visualizer or the tablet
can receive the displayed image. The tablet can also be used as a whiteboard and for storing image and
video material.
To swap from tablet source to Visualizer camera image just tap ”LIVE” in the ”Source” dropdown menu on
the tablet (top toolbar).
Please note:
vSolution Connect blocks video recording on the Visualizer, use recording function on the tablet.
vSolution Connect blocks every other stream via Ethernet and USB.
Connect the Visualizer to a Network
Wired Connection
Connect the Visualizer to the existing network with available DHCP-server and the Visualizer will set the IP
addresses according the DHCP information.
If a DHCP-server is unavailable, please set the addresses for IP, Subnet Mask, Gateway and Nameserver
manually to valid settings.
WLAN infrastructure is necessary to work with a tablet.
Wireless Connection - Visualizer acts as Access Point
The Visualizer can be set up to act as Access Point and notebooks, smartphones and tablets can be
connected directly.
Disconnect mains and connect the supplied WLAN USB dongle . Power the unit and select ”Access
Point” in the on-screen menu ”Advanced Settings / Ethernet Settings / WLAN Settings”. There you can
assign the channel used, SSID, IP address and Encryption. When all settings are completed, select
”Activate” to start the access point function and connect the desired third party devices.

Hint: Always disconnect the unit from mains before connecting / disconnecting the WLAN USB-Dongle.
Wireless Connection - Visualizer acts as Client (Infrastructure)
The Visualizer can be setup to connect to an existing WiFi infrastructure.
Disconnect mains and connect the supplied WLAN USB dongle to port. Power the unit and select
”Infrastructure” in the on-screen menu ”Advanced Settings / Ethernet Settings / WLAN Settings”. There you
can assign the SSID, IP address (DHCP or manual) and Encryption. When all settings are completed,
select ”Connect” to connect to the existing infrastructure.
Hint: Always disconnect the unit from mains before connecting / disconnecting the WLAN USB-Dongle.
The Ethernet functionality of the Visualizer can be limited and the access can be protected with a password.
Select ”Security Settings” in the on-screen menu ”Advanced Settings / Ethernet Settings”.
Input the valid admin password to change the settings to restrict the functionality of Ethernet. Also the
admin password can be changed afterwards.
Note the changed password! Only WolfVision can reset a forgotten admin password!
Default passwords are ”Password” for admin and guest.

Built-in Digital Scaler (for HDMI-In and vSolution Connect by WolfVision)
The Visualizer has a built-in digital image scaler which can process the signals from the external inputs and
output it in the same mode as the Visualizer image (For example: If the Visualizer is set to output an 1080p
(FullHD) image to the projector and the computer outputs an XGA signal, the scaler of the Visualizer
converts the XGA image of the computer to 1080p. As a result the projector does not readjust the input
mode when switching between the Visualizer and computer image).
In addition images from the connected tablet (vSolution Connect by WolfVision) are automatically scaled to
the current output mode of the Visualizer.
The output resolution of the Visualizer can be changed in the on-screen menu.
Integrated Seamless Switch
The Visualizer has an integrated Seamless Switch. This allows for a seamless transition (fade-over/
dissolve effect) when switching between the Visualizer image, the image from the external input, or the
stream from a tablet (vSolution Connect by WolfVision).
The behavior of the Visualizer can be changed in the on-screen menu.
Saving Visualizer Settings onto a USB-Stick
The Visualizer offers the opportunity to save menu settings and preset settings onto an USB stick (USB
storage device) as an XML file.
Change the settings to the desired values and store it on the USB stick (in the on-screen menu, Advanced
Settings / USB Stick Settings). When you connect the USB stick with the prepared XML-file, a respective
on-screen message will pop-up for information. As soon as the USB-stick is removed, the previous settings
are restored.
The file will be stored in the default USB folder which can be changed in the on-screen menu
(”WOLFVISION” by default).
All settings of the Visualizer can be changed in the on-screen menu.
This Feature is not available when USB WLAN-dongle is in use.

The Picture in Picture Mode offers the possibility to show two different pictures at the same time on one
screen. Just press the PiP key to activate the Picture in Picture mode. The current picture (external signal,
stream of vSolution Connect, camera image) will be shown in the lower left corner and the live image will be
shown full sized (depending on source the small image is frozen). The content of the full sized image can be
changed i.e. by switching to external HDMI source.
Additionally the behavior of the PiP mode can be changed in the on-screen menu to show the pictures Side
by Side.
Side by Side is not available when camera aspect ratio is set to 4:3 in the on-screen menu.
The PiP function can be assigned to a Preset key in the on-screen menu.

Live to Freeze Comparison / Picture in Picture (PiP)
Enter the on-screen menu on the Visualizer and select Advanced Settings / Device Info. In this sub-menu
you can check the version number of the currently installed firmware and the state of the enabled Feature
Pack functions.

Keine entflammbaren oder metallischen Gegenstände oder Flüssigkeiten in das Geräteinnere
dringen lassen!
Das Gerät nicht im Bereich von starken Magnetfeldern und elektrischen Feldern in Betrieb
nehmen!
Das Gerät nicht im Wirkungsbereich von Röntgenstrahlung betreiben. Dadurch können Teile der
Kamera beschädigt werden.
Das Netzkabel und den Netzstecker niemals mit feuchten Händen berühren!
Wird das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzt, so ziehen Sie bitte den Netzstecker!
Das verwendete Netzteil benötigt eine europäische Zertifizierung nach EN 60950 oder von
CSA/UL nach UL60950 oder Ul1950. Das Netzteil muss LPS (Limited Power Source - mit
begrenzter Leistung) einhalten!

Wo kann ein Code für den Feature Pack bezogen werden
Der Feature Pack Code ist eine eindeutige Ziffernreihenfolge und ist für nur jeweils einen Visualizer gültig
(abhängig von der Seriennummer des Visualizers).
Der Feature Pack Code kann über Ihren Händler, zusammen mit dem Visualizer oder separat, bezogen
werden.
Bei etwaigen Fragen bezüglich Verfügbarkeit kontaktieren Sie bitte Ihren Händler oder WolfVision direkt
(siehe Kontakte auf der letzten Seite dieser Anleitung).
Einleitung
Ausgewählte WolfVision Visualizer und Kameras bieten die Möglichkeit weitere Features (Funktionen)
mittels entsprechendem Feature Pack Code frei zuschalten.
Aktuell verfügbare zusätzliche Features des BYOD Packs:
- Bild im Bild Modus für Livebild/Standbild Vergleich
- Speicherung individueller Einstellungen auf einem USB-Stick
- Weiche Überblendung beim Wechsel der verschiedenen Bildquellen
- WLAN Unterstützung mittels USB WLAN-Dongle (beinhaltet zusätzliche Hardware)
- vSolution Connect by WolfVision Unterstützung (tablet)
Weitere Features können mit zukünftigen Firmware Versionen hinzugefügt werden.
Abhängig vom Gerät können manche Features bereits in der Grundspezifikation verfügbar sein.
Abhängig vom Gerät kann ein USB-Stick zur Speichererweiterung und Speicherung individueller Einstel-
lungen nicht gleichzeitig mit dem USB WLAN-Dongle verwendet werden, mangels freier Anschlüsse.
Die Streaming-Funktion ist bei Verwendung der vSolution Connect mit dem Visualizer nicht verfügbar.
Wichtig:
Der FeaturePack Code ist nicht vor-installiert, Benutzereingriff erforderlich!
Aktivieren Sie den Feature Pack nach einer der folgenden Methoden:
1. Anschließen eines vorbereitetem USB-Sticks und Befolgung der On-Screen Anweisungen
ODER
2. Benutzung der Software vSolution Link by WolfVision / Administration-Tab: Online/Offline Aktivierung.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass beim Visualizer die aktuellste Firmware installiert sein muss!
Aktivierung mittels vorbereitetem USB-Sticks
- Visualizer mit dem Stromnetz und einem Monitor verbinden und einschalten.
- USB-Stick am Visualizer anschließen.
- Eine Pop-Up Meldung zur Aktivierung erscheint.
- Mit den Navigationstasten am Kamerakopf die Aktivierung mit „JA” bestätigen.
Aktivierung mittels der Software vSolution Link by WolfVision
- Installieren Sie die Software vSolution Link by WolfVision auf Ihrem PC - die Komponente
„Administration” ist für die Aktivierung zwingend erforderlich.
- Visualizer mit dem Stromnetz und dem PC über USB oder LAN verbinden und die Software starten.
- Wählen Sie den Reiter „Administration” und klicken Sie auf Online/Offline Aktivierung:
Online Aktivierung: die Software vSolution Link benötigt eine Internetverbindung
Offline Aktivierung: die Aktivierungsdatei oder zumindest der Aktivierungscode wird benötigt.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass ältere Versionen der Software die Aktivierung des Feature Packs unter
Umständen nicht unterstützt.

Empfang eines Streams - vSolution Connect by WolfVision (Tablet)
Der Visualizer unterstützt den Empfang von Videostreams eines Tablets über das Netzwerk.
Laden Sie die App vSolution Connect by WolfVision vom Appstore, verbinden Sie das Tablet mit
demselben Netzwerk wie der Visualizer und starten Sie die App. Nach Tippen auf das Icon „Connect” legen
Sie das Tablet in den Aufnahmebereich der Visualizerkamera und folgen Sie den Anweisungen am
Bildschirm des Tablets.
Die Synchronisierung erfolgt mittels einer speziellen rot/blau Blinksequenz.
Nach erfolgter Verbindung können Dokumente vom Tablet an den Visualizer übertragen werden oder das
Tablet kann das Bild des Visualizers empfangen. Das Tablet kann auch als Whiteboard und zur
Speicherung von Bild- und Videomaterial verwendet werden.
Für den Wechsel zwischen Tablet und Visualizerkamera berühren Sie „LIVE” im Dropdown-Menü „Source
am Tablet (obere Werkzeugleiste).
Hinweis:
vSolution Connect blockiert die Aufnahme von Video Clips am Visualizer, benutzen Sie die Funktion am
Tablet.
vSolution Connect blockiert alle anderen Streams über Ethernet und USB.
Die Netzwerkfunktionen können eingeschränkt und mit einem Passwort geschützt werden.
Im On-Screen Menü unter „Erweiterte Einstellungen / Netzwerkeinstellungen / Zugriffsrechte” kann nach
Eingabe des gültigen Admin Passwortes die Funktionalität limitiert werden. Zudem kann dann auch das
Admin Passwort geändert werden.
Notieren Sie das geänderte Passwort! Nur WolfVision kann ein vergessenes Passwort zurücksetzen!
Das Standard Passwort lautet „Password” für Admin und Gast.
Sicherheit
Kabellose Verbindung - Visualizer agiert als Client (Infrastructure)
Der Visualizer kann auch in ein bestehendes WiFi Netzwerk integriert werden (Infrastruktur).
Den Visualizer vom Stromnetz trennen und den mitgelieferten WLAN USB-Dongle am Visualizer
anschließen. Den Visualizer wieder am Stromnetz anschließen, einschalten und im On-Screen Menü
unter „Erweiterte Einstellungen / Netzwerk Einstellungen / WLAN Einstellungen” auf „INFRASTRUKTUR”
stellen.
Wählen Sie die gewünschten Einstellungen wie: SSID, IP-Adressen (DHCP oder manuell) und
Verschlüsselung. Wählen Sie „Verbinden”, um eine Verbindung zum bestehenden Infrastruktur-Netzwerk
aufzubauen.
Hinweis: Visualizer immer vom Stromnetz trennen bevor der WLAN USB-Dongle an-/abgesteckt wird.
Verbinden des Visualizers mit einem Netzwerk
Kabelgebundene Verbindung
Bei Verbindung mit einem Netzwerk mit DHCP-Server bezieht der Visualizer alle Einstellungen wie IP-
Adresse automatisch.
Sollte kein DHCP-Server verfügbar sein, so müssen die Einstellungen wie IP-Adresse, Subnet Mask,
Gateway und Name-Server manuell auf gültige Einträge gesetzt werden.
Ein WLAN-Netzwerk ist nötig um mit dem Tablet arbeiten zu können.
Kabellose Verbindung - Visualizer agiert als Access Point
Der Visualizer kann als Accesspoint eingesetzt werden, um eine direkte Verbindung mit Notebooks,
Smartphones und Tablets aufzubauen.

Eingebauter Scaler (für Extern-in und vSolution Connect by WolfVision)
Der Visualizer hat einen eingebauten, digitalen Scaler. Dieser verarbeitet das Signal vom externen
Eingang und passt den Ausgangsmodus dem Visualizer-Bild an (Beispiel: Wenn der Visualizer eingestellt
ist, ein 1080p (FullHD)-Bild auszugeben, und der Computer ein XGA-Signal ausgibt, dann wandelt der
Scaler das XGA-Signal des Computers auf 1080p um. Dadurch muss sich der Projektor beim Umschalten
zwischen Computer und Visualizer-Bild nicht neu synchronisieren.)
Zudem rechnet der Scaler Bilder vom verbundenen Tablet (vSolution Connect by WolfVision) automatisch
auf die aktuelle Ausgangs-Auflösung um.
Die Ausgangsauflösung des Visualizers kann im On-Screen Menü geändert werden.
Eingebauter Bildmischer mit Überblendungseffekten
Der Visualizer besitzt einen integrierten Bildmischer. Dieser ermöglicht Überblendungseffekte wenn
zwischen dem Bild des Visualizers, dem Bild des externen Einganges und Bildern des Streams (vSolution
Connect by WolfVision) umgeschaltet wird. Das Umschalten zwischen den einzelnen Medien wirkt
fließend und professionell.
Das Verhalten kann im On-Screen Menü geändert werden.
Speichern der Visualizer-Einstellungen auf einem USB-Stick
Der Visualizer bietet die Möglichkeit aktuelle Menü- und Preseteinstellungen auf einem USB-
Speichermedium als XML-Datei abzuspeichern.
Ändern Sie die gewünschten Einstellungen und speichern Sie diese auf dem USB-Speichermedium (im
On-Screen Menü, Erweiterte Einstellungen / USB Stick). Sobald ein USB-Speichermedium mit einer
geeigneten XML-Datei angesteckt wird, erscheint zur Information eine entsprechende Pop-Up Meldung
auf dem Bildschirm. Sobald das USB-Speichermedium wieder entfernt wird, werden die vorherigen
Einstellungen wieder hergestellt.
Die Datei wird im Standardverzeichnis auf dem USB-Stick gespeichert („WOLFVISION”).
Alle Einstellungen des Visualizers können im On-Screen Menü geändert werden.
Dieses Feature ist mit angestecktem USB WLAN-Dongle nicht verfügbar.

Der Bild in Bild Modus (PiP) bietet die Möglichkeit zwei verschiedene Bilder zur selben Zeit auf demselben
Bildschirm zu zeigen. Drücken Sie dazu die PiP Taste u Picture in Picture Modus zu aktivieren. Das
aktuelle Bild (externes Signal, vSolution Connect Stream, Kamerabild) wird dem Bildschirmfüllenden Live
Bild in der linken unteren Ecke verkleinert überlagert (abhängig der Quelle wird das kleine Bild als
Standbild dargestellt). Der Inhalt des Live Bildes kann geändert werden, z.B. durch Wechsel auf die
externe HDMI Quelle.
Der PiP Modus kann im On-Screen Menü auf „Nebeneinander” geändert werden.
Die Funktion „Nebeneinander” ist bei gewähltem 4:3 Kamera Seitenverhältnis nicht verfügbar.
Die PiP-Funktion kann im On-Screen Menü einer Preset Taste zugewiesen werden.

Wählen Sie im On-Screen Menü „Erweiterte Einstellungen / Geräte Info”. In diesem Untermenü ist die
Versionsnummer der aktuell installierten Firmware ersichtlich sowie auch der Status der aktivierten
Feature Packs.
