1”NC x 5 grade5hex headcapscrewand
hexlocknuttoattachtoplinktotractorand
backhoe.
JAminimum25%of tractorand equip-
mentweightmustbeon tractorfront
wheelswithbackhoeintransportposition.
Without thisweight,tractorcouldtip over
causing personal injuryordeath.The
weightmay be attainedwithafrontend
loader,frontwheelweights,ballastintires
orfronttractorweights.Whenattainingthe
minimum25%weighton thefrontwheels,
you mustnotexceedtheRoll OverProtec-
tion Structure(ROPS)weightcertification.
Weigh thetractorand equipment.Do not
estimate.
JBeforeworking on backhoe,extend
boomand dipperstick and place bucketon
ground.Make surethatall systempres-
surehas beenrelieved byoperating
controlsbeforemaintenance,service or
disconnecting anyhydrauliclines.
JKeepall persons away fromoperator
controlarea whileperforming adjust-
ments,service ormaintenance.
Refertothe WOODS BH6500/7500 seriesOperator’s
Manualforbackhoe assemblyinstructions.
Forthe purpose ofinstalling the sub-frame,right, left,
forward and rearward directionsare determined from
the operator’sposition facing forwardinthe tractor
seat.
TRACTORPREPARATION
(Figure 2)
Removemid-mountmowerand bracketsifinstalled.
Block front tires.
Placejack under reartractorhousing.Slide one rear
tiresoutasfaraspossible.Loosen setscrewlocated
atthebottomcenteroflift armpin(4).RemoveKlikpin
(3)and slide pin outward,removing spacers(2),lift
arms(1),sway chain bracket(5)and connecting links
(7)fromtractor.Reposition lift armpin(4)and tighten
setscrew.placetirein originalposition,secure and
removejack.
All partsremoved shouldbestored for reinstallation
on tractorwhen putting 3-pointhitch back on.

Removefrontloadersupportbracket(6)and save
hardwareforinstalling backhoe frontmounting brack-
et(4).
When installing on B1600HSE/D& B7100HSE/D,
mountbracketwith diagonalforward as shownin“A”,
using top holesindicated toinsertcap screws(8).The
bottomholesindicated will be used toinstall front
mounting pin(5).Do not tighten hardware at thistime.
Install frontmounting bracket(4)in position indicated
foryourtractor. Install cap screws(8),lockwashers
(10)and nuts(9),butdo not tighten.Use existing
hardwareformfrontloaderbrackets.

mounting bracket(4), tofrontloadersupport(3).Use
frontmounting bracket(4)asatemplate and drill a
5/8”holein eachfrontloadersupport(3).
Insertcap screw(8)through forward hole ofeach
frontmounting bracket(4)and frontloadersupport
(3).Securewithlockwasher (10)and nut(9).Do not
tighten.
B1550 & B1750 GearDrive Models(Figure 6)
Removefrontloadersupportbracket(6)and save
hardwareforinstalling backhoe frontmounting brack-
et(4).
Remove hardware attaching loadersupportbrackets
(2)totractorand frontloadersupport(3).
Insertcap screw(12)through loadersupportbracket
(2)centerhole of frontmounting bracket(4)and front
loadersupport(3).Securewithlockwasher (10)and
nut(9).Do not tighten.
Install hardware attaching loadersupportbracket(2)
totractor.On1640Aloaderswithserialnumber
24002953 and below,itwill be necessaryto drill holes
(see Figure 6,hole“A”)to attachfronthole of front
mounting bracket(4)tofrontloadersupport(3).Use
frontmounting bracket(4)asatemplate and drill a
5/8”holein eachfrontloadersupport(3).
Insertcap screw(8)through forward hole ofeach
frontmounting bracket(4)and frontloadersupport
(3).Securewithlockwasher (10)and nut(9).Do not
tighten.
Sub--FrameFitUp(Figure 7)
Slide backhoe sub-frame(3)underthe tractorbe-
tween reartiresand place hitch plates(6)overlift arm
pins(1).
Usesleeve(10)onlyon oldertractormodelswhen
thereisa gap between the tractorcasting and
sub-frame hitch plates(6).
Raisethe frontofsub-frame(3)up and securetofront
mounting bracket(7)with pin(9)and Klikpin(8).
Secure hitch plates(6)totractorbyinstalling mount-
ing spacers(5)overlift armspins(1)and installing
Klikpins(2). If thereisasmall gap between mounting
spacerassembly(5)and Klikpin(2),install 7/8”IDx
1-1/4”ODx14 gauge washerorROPS spacerinside
hitch plate(6).
Insertand spread cotterpinsofKlikpin and chain
assemblies(4)through holeinsub-frame as shown.
Install Klikpinthrough holein pin on hitch plates(6)to
securemounting spacers(5).
Withsub-frameinstalled, tighten all hardware attach-
ing frontmounting frame(7)tofrontmounting bracket,
frontloadersupportand tractor.

Check fluidleveldailywith dipstick incorporated in
reservoirfillercap.
Back tractoroverbackhoe sub-frame,centering
sub-frame undertractor.When tractoris close enough
to backhoe,connectbackhoe pumptotractorPTO.
Makesure plate(3),Figure 9,isengaged intractor
drawbarto preventpumpfromrotating,and slide pin
on pumpPTOadapteris securelylocked on totractor
PTO.

operatedfromaposition otherthanthe
operatorseatisduring backhoe attach-

spacerassemblies(5)and Klikpins(2&4).Then
raisefrontofsub-frame up to engage inmounting
bracket(7).Securein placewithfrontmounting pin
(9)and Klikpin(8).

menthigh-strengthtractortoplinkpin,and
1”NC x 5 grade5hex headcapscrewand
hexlocknuttoattachtoplinktotractorand
backhoe.
Install top linkin bottomhole of tractortop link
bracket. Loosen jamnut(11),Figure 8,adjust top link
asnecessarytofitbetween tractorand backhoe, then
tighten jamnut.
Attachseatassemblyin one of the top two holesof
the lowerseatsupportwithcap screworclevispin.
Verifythat the clearancesasoutlined on the DAN-
GERdecalon the backhoe arobtained.Failureto
obtainthe necessary clearancesmayresultinserious
