Important before installation!
• This manual should be saved by the owner!
• Read the whole manual before installation.
• Installation must be done by a professional tradesman.
• Don’t remove the small foam pieces under the front edge. (They hold the flush pipe in place)..
• FOR SEPARATING WC:The is a pre-mounted water trap in the urine bowl, no additional water trap should be mounted in
the urine outlet.
• The control unit counts flushes, however a separate septic tank alarm that warns about high levels must be installed.
• Ventilation of the septic tank must be installed, se pictures in this manual. This will prolong the life span of the turbine.
• The turbine in the vacuum unit is expendable and will need to be replaced within a few years. Usually ca 4 years.
• The whole system is sensitive to frost and needs to be kept frost free.
• If the toilet risks being exposed to degrees below 0, empty the water trap and the solenoid valve of water, otherwise frost
damage can emerge.
• Forbidden objects in the WC: Napkins, paper towels, feminine hygiene products, cotton balls etc. should not be flushed
down the WC. Only toilet paper with shorts fibers should be used.

Warranty
• EcoVac has a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase noted on the invoice. Invoice or receipt should always be
presented when claiming warranty.
• Warranty only applies when the product is installed according to the enclosed manual and used according to the owners
manual. Owners manual can be found on the last page.
• Warranty only applies when the settings in the control unit are customized accordingly to your individual system.
• If the components are being exposed to careless treatment or if this manual is not being followed, the warranty can cease
to apply.
• Wostman are only responsible for the function and quality of the system (WC, control unit, vacuum unit).

• Ta inte bort de små skumgummi-bitarna under porslinskanten (de håller spolslangen på plats).

Planning
• Plan your system together with your entrepreneur/reseller. Apply for a permit at your local city hall or environment- or
construction department before ordering.
• How many toilets will you be needing? If another toilet will be installed in the future, we recommend you plan ahead.
Have in mind…
• EcoVac is a real vacuum system that transports the waste to the septic tank in a few seconds. The system is a VOD
(Vacuum on demand) and is only on for a few seconds at each flush.
• To install a vacuum toilet is not like other toilet installations. The waste-pipes are 50 mm Ø and the system is sensitive to
long distances and sharp turns. Read more on page 8! Maximum distance between WC - Septic tank = 30m. Maximum
distance between Septic tank - turbine unit BASE = 20m, If the BASE unit is installed outside the tank.
• The turbine (BASE) is exposed to a harsh environment and will be worn out after a few years. You can replace the
turbine yourself or have it replaced at Wostman or a reseller for a low cost.
Planering
• Planera toalettsystemet och avloppet tillsammans med din entreprenör/ återförsäljare. Ansök om tillstånd hos din
kommun, leta under ”miljö och hälsa” eller ”Vatten och Avlopp”.
• Hur många toaletter kommer att behövas? Ska en ytterligare toalett installeras närmsta tiden kan det vara bra att planera
för detta redan nu.
Att tänka på…
• EcoVac är ett riktigt vakuumsystem som transporterar avfallet hela vägen till tanken på några sekunder. Systemet är ett
VOD (Vacuum on demand) och är endast igång några sekunder vid varje spolning, annars är systemet trycklöst och
vilande.
• Att installera en vakuumtoalett är inte som andra rörinstallationer. Avloppsrören till tanken är 50 mm Ø och ledningarna
är känsliga för långa avstånd och skarpa böjar. Läs mer på sida 8! Max avstånd mellan WC - Tank = 30m. Max avstånd
mellan Tank - motorenhet BASE = 20m, om BASE-enheten monteras utanför tanken.
• Motorn in vakuumenheten (BASE) sitter i en känslig miljö och kommer därför att förbrukas efter en viss tid, ca 4 - 6 år.
Motorn går att byta ut själv utan några verktyg men kan även bytas ut hos Wostman eller återförsäljare till
självkostnadspris.

Measure the pipe in the floor.
Mät röret som sticker upp i golvet.
Cut the pipe. Ca 7 cm / 3 inches.
Såga av röret till rätt längd. Ca 7 cm.
Make the inside edge smooth so nothing can get
stuck.
Gör kanten på insidan mjuk, så inget fastnar.
Open the junction box and prepare for the
electrician.
Öppna anslutningsdosan och förbered för en
elektriker
Put the WC in place and apply a silicone string all
the way around the bottom edge except for the
back. Remove excess glue.
Ställ WC på plats och lägg en silicone sträng hela
vägen runt nedre kanten förutom bakre kanten.
Ta bort överflödigt silicone.
The very last step of the installation is connection
the water. Test-flush the WC before first usage.
Det allra sista steget i installationen är att ansluta

Connect the signal cable to the control unit.
Make sure the control unit is NOT connected to
any power.

Installing the BASE unit outside the tank /Installera BASE
enheten utanför tanken.
Mount the polyurethane barrel on the tank
before attaching the tower-extension. Use a
water resistant mounting-glue and attached
screws.
Montera montageplattan på tanken innan du
monterar fast förhöjningshalsen. Använd
vattenfast monteringslim och medföljande
skruvar.
Attach the ball basket with the ball on the
bottom side of the plastic plate using screws.
Place the plate with the basket in the bottom in
the hole on the polyurethane barrel and seal with
mounting glue. Connect the pipes to the BASE
unit on the top of the plate. Drill the remaining
holes for level alar, emptying and the pipes from
the wc.
Skruva fast bollkorgen med bollen på undersidan
av den medföljande plattan. Placera plattan med
bollkorgen neråt i hålet i montageplattan och täta
med monteringslim. Anslut rören som ska gå till
BASE enheten på ovansidan av plattan. Borra
resterande hål i montageplattan för Tanklarm,
tömningsventil och rör från wc.
Decide where to place the BASE unit and
whether it needs to be in an isolated box or not.
Connect the exhaust pipe to the silencer and
onward to ventilation pipe according to the
picture above. attach the silencer to the wall
using the white iron stripes.
Bestäm var ni ska placera BASE enheten och
huruvida den behöver sitta i en isolerad låda eller
inte. Anslut utblås-röret till ljuddämparen och
vidare till ventilationsröret. Fäst ljuddämparen
mot väggen med hjälp av de vita stålskenorna.

Installing the BASE unit on top of the tank /Installera BASE
enheten ovanpå tanken.
Mount the polyurethane barrel on the tank
before attaching the tower-extension. Use a

Installing the BASE unit on top of the tank:
Place the ball inside the basket and attach the
ball basket on the bottom of the BASE unit, using
three screws. Place the extra foam gasket around
the whole in the barrel and place the BASE unit
in the hole and connect the power cord to the
outlet that is connected to the Control unit.

The EXTEND units should always be places on top of the tank, since they release the WC waste into the tank by gravity. The ultimate solution is putting the BASE
unit in a basement or garage. It protects the unit from cold, moist and ammoniac! But the BASE units can of course also be placed together with the EXTEND units.
EXTEND enheterna ska alltid placeras på tanken eftersom de släpper ner avfallet i tanken med gravitation.Den ultimata lösning är att placera BASE enheten i en
källare eller garage. Det skyddar enheten från kyla, fukt och ammoniak! Men BASE enheterna kan självklart även placeras tillsammans med EXTEND enheterna.

Follow the steps on the page on Installing the
BASE unit. The only difference is that the BASE
unit should not be placed in the hole on top of
the tank, that’s where the EXTEND unit will be
placed. The BASE unit can be mounted in a
different place or on the wall right above the
EXTEND unit.
Följ stegen på sidan för installation av BASE
enheten. Den enda skillnaden är att BASE
enheten ska inte placeras i hålet på tanken, det är
där EXTEND enheten kommer att sitta. BASE
enheten kan monteras på ett annat ställe eller på
väggen i tornet, ovanför EXTEND enheten.
Remove the tape on the bottom side of the
EXTEND unit, and attach the unit in the hole.
Connect the pipe from the WC to the EXTEND
unit, and the PEM hose from the EXTEND unit to
the BASE unit according to the picture above.
Avlägsna tejpen från undersidan av EXTEND
enheten och placera enheten i hålet på tanken.
Anslut röret från WC till EXTEND enheten och
PEM slangen från EXTEND enheten till BASE

When the distance between WC and septic tank
is short, the vacuum power can be reduced by
regulation the air intake on the top. Higher air
intake = less vacuum power.

Recommendations / Rekommendationer:
•The control unit should be placed in a dry and accessible place. Preferably inside the house, by the power central. (It
should not be put next to the vacuum turbine (BASE) or the vacuum unit (EXTEND). It should be easy to find and you
should de able to hear the alarm signal.
•Tank alarm should be installed on the septic tank. This should also be taken into consideration during wiring.
•Wire the control unit without RCD (Residual current device) since the vacuum turbine (BASE) is often placed in a moist,
locked place under ground and do not have constant power.
•Connect the signal cable to the WC before you connect the control unit to any power.
•One extra single phase cable should be installed at this point from the power central to the tank. This cable should be
installed with constant power for the frost guard and heat cable. (OBS. don’t use three phase cable).
•Styrenheten ska placeras på ett torrt och lättillgängligt ställe. Helst inne i huset vid elcentralen (den ska inte sitta vid
motorenheten (BASE). Man ska enkelt kunna hitta den och höra om larmet ljuder från styrenheten.
•Nivålarm på tanken ska installeras. Detta bör även planeras in för eldragning.
•Anslut helst styrenheten till uttag utan jordfelsbrytare eftersom motorenheten (BASE) sitter i ett fuktigt, låst utrymme
under mark och inte har konstant ström.
•Anslut signalkabeln till WC innan styrenheten kopplas på med ström.
•En extra 1-faskabel ska läggas samtidigt från husets elcentral ut samma väg till tanken, denna med fast ström till frostvakt
och värmekabel. OBS. ej 3-faskabel!

In the Control unit there are three pre-installed programs. At the first start-up of the Control unit you will have to choose one
program but also adjust the individual settings inside that program. To select a program and adjust the individual settings,
please follow the guide on this side. To know what times you should apply, follow the model on Page 15.
I Styrenheten finns det tre förinställda program. Vid första starten av styrenheten kommer du behöva välja ett program för att
sedan finjustera de individuella inställningarna i programmet. För att välja program och justera inställningarna, vänligen följd
guiden på denna sida. För att veta vilka värden du ska ställa in, följ modellen på sida 15.
Adjust the settings in the Control unit / Justera
inställningarna i Styrenheten
Make sure the Control unit are connected to power and all the wiring is done properly. When the power is
turned on the Control unit should light up, showing 0000 (four zeroes) on the display.
Kontrollera att Styrenheten är ansluten till ström och att all eldragning är korrekt. När strömmen är påslagen bör
displayen på Styrenheten visa 0000 (fyra nollor).
Press the button called [MODE]. The display should now show three letters short for a program. Press the
button [+] to jump between the three program alternatives:
Tryck på knappen [MODE]. Displayen bör nu visa tre bokstäver som är en förkortning av ett program. Tryck på
knappen [+] för att växla mellan de tre program alternativen:
Fat If you have an EcoVac EXTEND system / Om du har ett EcoVac EXTEND system.
bAS If you have an EcoVac BASE system / Om du har ett EcoVac BASE system.
FAb If you have an EcoVac EXTEND + BOSS:2 composting system (or similar) / Om du har ett ECOVAC
EXTEND + BOSS:2 komposteringssystem (eller liknande).
When the display is showing the program you want to choose, press the button [ENTER] to save the chosen

This is the last step of the installation of the EcoVac system. When the settings are set it is important that the installer test
flushes the system to make sure everything is done correct and that the system is working. The owner of the system is the
one who in the end holds responsibility over the settings and eventual adjustments that might be done in the future.
