TUTA Series GSM Remote Camera
Thank you for purchasing he TUTA camera. This camera is a remo e con rolled
image-cap uring device consis ing of a microphone, infrared ligh s and a high quali y
300,000-pixel camera lens. The TUTA camera can cap ure images according o a pre-
programmed remo e command and hen send i o your mul imedia messaging (MMS)
enabled mobile phone wi h color display, or o an e-mail address. You can con rol and
change he camera se ings via SMS command.
The MMS sen by he TUTA camera can be viewed on your mobile phone. You also
can op o view a slide of consecu ive pho os aken by he GSM Remo e camera.
The buil -in high-ligh infrared LED allows he camera o cap ure clear images even in
dark environmen .
The TUTA camera is compa ible wi h s andard 433MHz wireless sensors such as PIR-,
door magne - and smoking sensors. As soon as he wireless sensor riggers he
camera alarm, you or your families and/or your guards can hus receive he alarm
message via SMS, MMS or s andard calls, according o he pre-programmed. If you
choose o purchase he op ional accessory -- an wireless siren, he TUTA camera can
rigger he wireless siren o emi loud voice when i alarms.
However, he camera can perform i s du y well wi hou any wireless sensor oo. The
TUTA has an in egra ed infrared body de ec or. I will herefore de ec any
unau horized en ry in o your house and no ify you via SMS, MMS, s andard calls or E-
mail.
All services and func ions need o be suppor ed by he GSM ne work and a SIM card.
This brochure suits for TUTA- 23 model.
De ails of he func ioning and advanced opera ion of his camera are described in his
ins ruc ion manual.

1. Purchase a GSM SIM card (mobile phone card) from GSM network
service and install it in the camera. This SIM card number is referred
as TUTA camera number on this brochure.
2. The user needs to activate the MMS function and Caller ID
Presentation function of SIM card, and deactivate PIN code of the SIM.
Contact with GSM network service for support.
3. Change the original password at the beginning use. e sure to keep
the password and SIM card number secret. Do not disclose this
information to anyone other than the authorized users in order to
ensure your safety.

1.3 Remote control instruction

No e: There is ba ery holder on he rear of he remo e con rol. When his ba ery is running ou of
power, TUTA camera will emi “Beep, beep” warning one and hen send a SMS no ifica ion
message o Master user.

Chapter 2 Installation
2.1 The antenna, SIM card and power adapter
Installing the antenna

SIM card holder will be found.
•Open he SIM card holder.
•Inser he SIM card carefully in o he card holder. Make sure ha he golden
connec ors on he card are facing downwards.
•Close he SIM card holder.
•Ge back he Ba ery Compar men Cover of TUTA camera.

2.2 The power adapter and battery
Connecting to the power adapter
•Connec he plug o he power in erface of he TUTA camera and hen connec
he adap er o an AC power.
The built-in rechargeable Lithium battery
•The camera will no ify he user when he
power changes. For example, if he power
adap er is disconnec ed or failure of he AC
power occurs, TUTA camera will no ify he
user “Ex ernal power cu . The device is
opera ing on ba ery.”
•If TUTA camera is again connec ed o he
ex ernal power, or he AC power is available
again, he no ifica ion will be sen o he
user, i.e.” The device is now resuming he
use of ex ernal power source.”
•Low battery: The configure se ing can no
be saved when TUTA camera is opera ing on low ba ery.

2.4 Mounting the TUTA
camera
TUTA camera can be moun ed on a wall (ver ically wi h he screws) or pu down on
any sui able horizon al surface.
How o choose he Ins alling place:
In order o cap ure be er image quali y, avoid any areas where brigh ligh will
be irradia ed direc ly in o he lens of he camera on he camera.
In order o avoid backligh ing pho ography, i is sugges ed ha he camera is
loca ed a he place where can look down he moni oring place wi h he
minimum angel 30°.
The GSM ne work’s signal s reng h may affec he image, live voice quali y
and MMS ransmission speed. Therefore, upon ins alla ion, he user should
ensure ha TUTA camera is loca ed in an area wi h a s rong ne work signal.
Af er ins alla ion, he user should perform a es -run by aking several images
and sending i o he user’s mobile phone. This allows he user o check he
image quali y of he camera. The posi ion of TUTA camera can hen be
adjus ed un il a sa isfac ory image quali y level is reached.

2.5 Power on/ off

Chapter 3 Define the user and basic settings
3.1 User authorization level
There are hree levels, each wi h a differen au horiza ion level, namely Master,
Families and Guest.
Table 3.1 the difference in authority for Master, Families and Guests users:

•Any MMS enabled mobile phone can receive he images cap ured by TUTA
camera by sending SMS command wi h password.
•Any SMS enabled mobile phone can con rol TUTA camera wi h he password
command.
All he se ings of TUTA camera can be se or adjus ed via a SMS command.
About the SMS Command:
1)Master and families users’ SMS command forma : #code#con en #.
2)Guest users’ SMS command forma : #code#password#con en #.
3)The password mus be a four-digi number.
4)The original password is 1234.
5)The maximum digi s ha are allows for he phone number is six een.
6)TUTA camera will reply o he user af er i receives he SMS command.
Note
•The “#” symbol mus no be ignored when yping an SMS command.
•No allow any space wi hin he commands.
3.2 Setup master number
Mas er user has all he righ s of changing camera se ings and receives alarm
messages from camera. In order o enable all he func ions on he camera, he Master
user mus s ore his/ her mobile number in he camera’s memory. Only one Master’s
mobile number (Master number) is allowed for a camera.
3.2.1 Add a master number to the camera
If TUTA camera is being used for he firs ime, or TUTA camera has been rese , he
mas er user’s number mus be programmed in o he camera, in order o ensure
ac iva ion. The following me hods can be used:
The Master user mus edi and send he following SMS ( ex message) o camera from
mobile phone ( he phone number will be he Master number) o:
Setup master number: #00# SIMnumber # (1)
The SIMnumber is he camera ins alled SIM card number, i need o add coun ry code
in fron of he SIM number, for example #00#+49123456789# (+49 is he coun ry code
of Germany, 123456789 is SIM number).

If he camera reply mas er number already exis s, please refer he Rese Fac ory

3.2.2 Change the master number
Master user sends following SMS message in order o:
Change the master user’s number: #14# NewMasterNumber # (2)
3.2.3 Change password
In order o ensure your privacy and safe y during he use of his camera, change he
password once s ar o use TUTA camera.
Master user sends following SMS message o:
Change the password: #04# oldpassword # newpassword # (3)
•The password is a four digi number.
•The original password is 1234.
3.3 Define family user
Family users have he au hori y o lis en in on he camera, receive images, load he
sensors and remo e con rols o he camera, and receive no ifica ion when he
in egra ed infrared body de ec or be riggered. The family user’s mobile numbers are
se by he Master user. The family users should remember and safeguard he
camera’s SIM number.
3.3.1 Add a family number
Master user sends following SMS message in order o:
Add a family number: #06# FamilyNumber # (4)
Add several family numbers: #06# FamilyNumber #...# FamilyNumber # (5)
•Up o 10 family users’ number can be s ored on one camera.
3.3.2 Delete family number
Master user sends following SMS message in order o:
Delete a family number: #113# FamilyNumber # (6)
Delete several family numbers simultaneously: (7)

Delete all family numbers: #113# (8)

3.4 Define guest user
Any selec ed person can opera e in he Guest ca egory if hey know he password and
he SIM number. The Guest user(s) can hen use heir mobile phones o send a SMS
command including password o TUTA camera in order o ob ain an MMS image.
3.5 Network parameter settings
Normally he camera will prese local opera or MMS se ings on he firmware. Users
needn’ o se up he MMS parame ers. Bu if he GSM opera or changes he MMS
parame ers or he local MMS se ings do no prese on he firmware, users will receive
SMS when hey reques MMS images: Sorry, he ne work is busy, MMS sending failed.
Master number can se up he MMS parame ers manually by following me hod.
Six MMS parame ers be reques ed on he camera. Master user send wo SMS
commands o he camera as follow.
Set MMS center: #124# MMScenter # (9)
Set APN parameters: (10)

Check the current operative network parameter settings: #55# (11)
•The MMScenter should be he MMS cen er address of GSM provider.

3.6 Camera language
Each camera suppor s wo defaul languages, English and Spanish. The user can
send following SMS command o swi ch language:

Chapter 4 Operations and settings
4.1 Call the camera to listen in
Master and family user calls TUTA camera af er which i will answer au oma ically.
The user can hen lis en in he live audio in he moni oring area. Only one line can be

connec ed o TUTA camera a a ime.
4.2 Capture images
Authority:
Mas er/ family / gues send SMS o he camera o ge he MMS image or send he
image(s) o an appoin ed mobile or E-mail address.
Mas er/ family member call he camera o ge he images.
Mas er/ family send SMS command o he camera o send MMS image o an E-mail
address (Need o pre-se E-mail address).
4.2.1 Capture images to mobile phone
Method 1:
•Master or family user calls he camera and hand up upon hearing he ringing
one (wi hin 10 seconds).
•TUTA camera will reply SMS no ifica ion: “Image cap uring reques received.
The camera is busy sending he MMS messages.”
•The user will hen receive he MMS message momen arily.
Method 2:
The user sends following SMS message in order o:
Capture one image and send to the user mobile:
For mas er and family users: #03# (14)
For gues users: #03# password # (15)
Capture images and send to the user mobile:
For master and family users: #03# Ima eQuantity # (16)
For uest users: #03# Password # Ima eQuantity # (17)
•Ima e quantity should be in he range of 1-8 when he image size is se a
160×128 or 320×240, be in 1-2 when 640×480. (Refer 4.4 image size se ing.)
The defaul image size is 320×240(QVGA).
4.2.2 Capture images and send to user’s E-mail address
This func ion should be suppor ed by he local ne work provider. The E-mail address
mus be se a firs . Each user number can se only one E-mail address o receive
images. The user sends following SMS message in order o:

•Image quantity should be in he range of 1-8 when he image size is se a
160×128 or 320×240, be in 1-2 when 640×480. The defaul image size is
320×240(QVGA).
4.2.3 Timing send images to mobile phone
The user sends following SMS message in order o:

•Max allow 3 periods per workday. Each period ime should se by s ar ime, end

•WorkDay: one digi , he values lie in he range of “0” o “9”.

•StartTime and EndTime: Be consis s of 4 digi s (hh:mm) and works on a 24
hour clock. For example: 0000 means ime 00:00(hh:mm), 2359 means ime
23:59(hh:mm). The S ar Time and EndTime should be in he same day, and he
EndTime mus be la er han S ar Time.
•IntervalTime: This consis s of 2 or 3 digi s and has values in he range of “10”
o “480” minu es.
4.3 Arming or disarming TUTA camera
4.3.1 Arming TUTA camera
•When user arm he TUTA camera, he buil -in infrared body de ec or (PIR) will

s ar working and de ec ing body hea . TUTA camera will au oma ically send
alarm message or making a phone call once i be riggered.
•TUTA camera has 20 seconds alarm-suspension period af er i be armed. The
user can leave he camera place during his ime o avoid misalarm.
Method 1:
The user sends following SMS message in order o:
Arming TUTA camera manually: #01# (23)
Method 2:
Press on he remo e con rol, whils poin ing i in he direc ion of TUTA camera.
TUTA camera will emi a “Beep” one, o indica e ha arming TUTA camera is
successfully. (Refer remo e con rol ins ruc ion par s)
4.3.2 Camera alarm
Once he camera be riggered, he LED will flash fas in green, hen urn red and flash
fas . I will sending alarm SMS, MMS or make voice calling according o he se ing.
Af er i finish alarm process, camera will en er 20 seconds alarm-suspension period
and hen i can alarm again.
4.3.3 Disarming TUTA camera
When user disarm he TUTA camera, all loaded wireless sensor, in egra ed infrared
body de ec or could no work. Bu i can send alarm only when he bu on on
remo e con rol is pressed.
Method 1:
The user sends following SMS message in order o:
Disarming TUTA camera manually: #02# (24)
Method 2:
Press he bu on on he remo e con rol, he camera will emi a BEEP one and he
indica or ligh will flashing green o show he TUTA disarm successfully. (Refer remo e
con rol ins ruc ion par s.)
4.3.4 Timed arming the camera
Master and family users send following SMS message in order o:
Enable timing arms the camera: #128#1# (25)
Set time period to arm the camera: (26)

•WorkDay: The value descrip ion is same wi h command 21.
•Up o 3 periods be allowed per workday. Each period ime should se by
ArmTime, DisarmTime.
•ArmTime and DisarmTime: Be consis s of 4 digi s (hh:mm) and works on a 24
hour clock. For example: 0000 means ime 00:00(hh:mm), 2359 means ime
23:59(hh:mm). The ArmTime and DisarmTime should be in he same day, and
he DisarmTime mus be la er han ArmTime during he same period.
4.4 Emergency alarms
The user press he remo e con rol emergency bu on o make TUTA camera alarm.
TUTA camera will s op any o her opera ion once i receive emergency alarm signal,
and s ar emergency alarm process. TUTA camera will dial he Master number no
more han 3 imes un il someone answers. If, af er 3 a emp s, here is no answer,
TUTA camera will au oma ically s op dialing and rever o i s prese mode. Master can
lis en in he live audio by answering he call. (Refer remo e con rol ins ruc ion par s.)
4.5 Remote control
4.5.1 Pairing remote control
Normally he remo e con rol was paired in fac ory. if he remo e camera can no work
wi h TUTA camera, user should pair he remo e con rol separa ely. A camera can pair
up o 5 remo e con rols.
