hear over 150 digital channels of
music, news, sports, talk and
entertainment from America's
number one Satellite Radio service. With
the addition of the XM Connect-and-Play
digital antenna accessory (sold
separately), just subscribe to XM Satellite
Radio to hear radio as it was meant to

3 Digital Inputs
2 optical and 1 coaxial digital input
terminals let you connect high quality
digital devices such as a DVD player or
certain cable or satellite boxes.
Fixed and Assignable Terminals
Yamaha offers terminals that can be
either independently assigned to
sources or defaulted to fixed settings
(digital inputs and component video
inputs).
Preset Remote Control Unit
The remote control is preset with
control codes for TV, DVD, VCR, CDR
and other components.
Speaker A or B Selection
Speaker A or B Selection gives you the
advantage of listening to either of two
pairs of speakers.

Surround Sound
The YHT-270 receiver delivers high
power output to each of their 5.1
channels: two front, one center, two
surround and one subwoofer. It provides
more than enough power (110W x 5
channels + 100W subwoofer) to fill even
the largest rooms with vibrant music and
rich sound effects. The subwoofer has an
advanced design for massive power and
clear, crisp bass.
6-Channel External Decoder Input
Terminals
These terminals allow the input of six
analog channels for connecting
components such as DVD-Audio and
Super Audio CD players, or those using
other next-generation formats.
High Performance Speakers
The YHT-270 satellite speakers are 2-way
design for high sound quality and full
surround sound enjoyment. Their new-
design 3-1/4” (8cm) woofer and 3/4”
(1.9mm) balanced-dome tweeter deliver
superior clean sound.
High Picture Quality
HDTV Compatible 3 Component Video
Input and 1 Component Video Output
Terminals
Component Video inputs offer higher
picture quality, for use with units such as
DVD players that have Component Video
output. The frequency response of the
component video signal is 5Hz – 60MHz,
making it compatible with HDTV
(1080i/720p). The YHT-270 allows you to
connect three different components for a
choice of high quality video sources.

Night Listening Mode and SILENT
CINEMA
When you’re listening to movies late at
night and turn down the volume during
loud scenes, dynamic range suffers and
you may miss some dialogue and other
sounds. With the Night Listening mode,
you can reduce the volume and still
enjoy proper tonal balance and dynamic
range. The SILENT CINEMA
mode allows private listening
enjoyment of multi-channel
music or movies, with an
accurate simulation of
surround sound, through
ordinary headphones.
