person’s improper or negligent use of this equipment. The product shall only be operated by someone
over the age of 18, of sound mind, and not under the inuence of any drugs or alcohol, who has been
trained in the correct operation of this machine, and is wearing authorized, proper safety clothing. Any
modication to the machine voids any warranty, and may cause harm to individuals using the machine
or in the vicinity of the machine while in operation.
• Whenthecoolerisinstalledorused,allthepackaging(includingcartonandplasticwrap)shouldbe
removed.
• Keepthecoolerstabletoavoidvibrationandnoise.
• Thecoolershouldbeinstalledinaplacewithgoodventilationandaspaceofatleast4”shouldbeallowed
betweenthesurroundingwallsandthecabinetwallforaircirculation.
• Unitshouldbeplacedfarfromanyheatingsourcetoavoiddecreaseofrefrigerationefciency.
• Installthecoolerinadryplacetopreventrustfromformingonthecompartmentbody,whichmayaffectthe
electricalinsulation.
CHECK PACKAGE UPON ARRIVAL
UponreceiptofanZanducoshipmentpleaseinspectforexternaldamage.Ifnodamageisevidentonthe
externalpackaging,opencartontoensureallordereditemsarewithinthebox,andthereisnoconcealed
damagedtothemachine.Ifthepackagehassufferedroughhandling,bumpsordamage(visibleorconcealed),
pleasenoteitonthebillofladingbeforeacceptingthedeliveryandcontactZanducowithin24hours,sowe
mayinitiateaclaimwiththecarrier.Adetailedreportontheextentofthedamagecausedtothemachine
mustbelledoutwithinthreedays,fromthedeliverydateshownintheshippingdocuments.Zanducohasno
recoursefordamagedproductsthatwereshippedcollectorthirdparty.
Whenusingelectricalappliancesbasicsafetyprecautionsshouldbefollowed:
• Thiscoolermustbeproperlyinstalledandlocatedinaccordancewiththeinstallationservice
representative.
• Donotallowchildrentoclimb,standorhangontheshelvesinthecooler.Theycoulddamagetheunitand
seriouslyinjurethemselves.
• Donotstoreorusegasolineorotherammablevaporsandliquidsinthevicinityofthisoranyother
appliance.
• Unplugtheunitfromtheelectricaloutletbeforecleaningormakingrepairs.
• Settingthetemperaturecontrolstothe0(zero)positiondoesnotremovepowertothelightcircuit,
perimeterheatersorevaporatorfans.
NOTE:Itisstronglyrecommendedthatanyservicingbeperformedbyanauthorizedinstructionsbeforeitis
used.

• Thecoolermustbegroundedcorrectly,neverwithaheatingpipeandcoalgaspipe.
• Incaseofdamagetoelectricalcordandplug,pleasecontactaftersaleserviceandneverdoityourself.
• Whenunpluggingunit,pleasegraspbytheplug,notthecord.
• Ifthevoltageisunstable,pleaseselectasuitableautomaticvoltageregulator.
• Ifthepowercutsoff,youshouldwaitforatleast5minutesbeforeturningontheunitagaintoavoiddamage
tothecompressor.

Childentrapmentandsuffocationarenotproblemsofthepast.Junkedorabandonedrefrigeratorsarestill
dangerous,eveniftheywillsitfor“justafewdays.”Ifyouaregettingridofanoldrefrigerator,pleasefollowthe
belowinstructionstohelppreventaterribleaccident.
• Removethedoors.
• Leaveshelvesinplacetopreventchildrenfromeasilyclimbinginside.
REFRIGERANT DISPOSAL
Youroldrefrigeratormayhaveacoolingsystemthatused“ozonedepleting”chemicals.Ifyouarethrowing
awayyouroldrefrigerator,besuretherefrigerantisremovedforproperdisposalbyaqualiedservice
technician.Ifyouintentionallyreleaseanyrefrigerantsyoucanbesubjecttonesandimprisonmentunderthe
provisionsoftheenvironmentalregulations.
Toolsrequired:Phillipsscrewdriver.
• UseaPhillipsscrewdrivertoremovethefour(4)screwsfromtheL-bracketconnectingtheunittothe
woodskid.ThenremovetheL-bracketfromtheunit.
• Removeskidbyunscrewingallbaserailanchorbrackets.Placeskidtotheside.
• Carefullyuprightcabinet.
When lifting unit do not use the counter top as a lifting point. Also remember to leave cabinet upright
for 24-hours before plugging into power source.
• Setunitinitsnallocation.Makesurethereisadequateventilationinthislocation.Underextremeheat
conditions(+100°F/+38°C)anexhaustfanmaybenecessary.
• Properlevelingoftheunitiscriticaltooperatingsuccess(fornon-mobilemodels).Effectivecondensate
removalanddooroperationwillbeaffectedbyleveling.
• Thecoolershouldbeleveledfronttobackandsidetosidewithalevel.

SEALING CABINET TO FLOOR
Step 1 - Position Cabinet
Allowone(1)inchbetweenthewallandrearoftherefrigeratedbarequipmenttoassureproperventilation.
Step 2 - Level Cabinet
Cabinetshouldbelevelsidetosideandfronttoback.Placeacarpenter’slevelintheinteriorcabinetoorin
fourplaces:
APositionlevelintheinsideooroftheunitnearthedoor.Levelshouldbeparalleltocabinetfront.
BPositionlevelattheinsiderearofcabinet.Levelshouldbeplacedparalleltocabinetback.
CPerformsimilarprocedurestostepsAandBbyplacingtheleveloninsideoorleftandrightsidesparallelto
thedepthofthecooler.Levelcabinet.
Step 3 - Applying Sealant
• Drawanoutlineonthebaseoftheoor.
• Raiseandblockthefrontsideofthecabinet.
• ApplyabeadofNSFApprovedSealant(seelistbelow)tooorhalfaninchinsidetheoutlinedrawn.The
beadmustbeheavyenoughtosealtheentirecabinetsurfacewhenitsetdownonthesealant.
• Raiseandblocktherearofthecabinet.
• Applysealantonoorasoutlinedaboveonother3sides.
• Examinetoseethatthecabinetissealedtoooraroundentireperimeter.

DRAFT BEER TOWER INSTALLATION
1. Beertowercontents.
2. Threadthebeerlineconnectortothekegcoupler.
3. Insertanairhoseintothebeertowerandsecurethebeertowertocabinetwiththegasketunderthebeer
tower.
4. Makesuretheairhoseclosesatthetopofbeertoweratalltimes.Thisistokeepthebeerfaucetcold.
5. Securethehandleontobeerfaucet.
REMOTE CO2 GAS CYLINDER INSTALLATION
1. Removetheplugontherightwallofthemachinewithapairofpliers.
2. Drillandmakeholethroughthewall.Holescanbelocatedintwo
differentareas.Referenceabovepicturesforthepositionoftheholes.
3. InserttheCO2linethroughthehole.
4. SealtheholearoundCO2linewithsiliconesealertopreventleakage
ofcoldair.

Donotunderanycircumstancescutorremovethegroundingprongfromthepowercord.Forsafetythis
appliancemustbeproperlygroundedatalltimes.
• Thepowercordofthiscoolerisequippedwithagroundingplugwhichmateswithastandardgrounding
walloutlettominimizethepossibilityofelectricshockhazard.
• Iftheoutletisastandard2-prongoutlet,itmustbereplacedwiththeproperlygroundedwalloutlet.NEVER
USEANADAPTERPLUG!
• Havethewalloutletandcircuitcheckedbyaqualiedelectriciantomakesuretheoutletisproperly
grounded.Checktheincomingvoltagewithavoltmeter.
• DONOTUSEEXTENSIONCORDS.Theuseofextensioncordstoconnectthecoolerwillvoidwarranty.
Theunitmustbecloseenoughtotheelectricalsupplysothatextensioncordsareneverused.
• Thecoolershouldalwaysbepluggedintoitsowndedicatedcircuitwithavoltageratingthatmatchesthe
ratingplate.Thisprovidesthebestperformanceandalsopreventsoverloadingwiringcircuitswhichcould
becomearehazardfromoverheatedwires.
• Neverunplugyourcoolerbypullingonthepowercord.Alwaysgriptheplugrmlyandpullstraightoutfrom
theoutlet.
• Repairorreplaceimmediatelyallpowercordsthathavebecomefrayedorotherwisedamaged.Donotuse
apowercordthathascracksorabrasiondamagealongitslengthorateitherofitsends.
• Whenremovingthecoolerawayfromthewallbecarefulnottorunoverordamagethepowercord.
• Whenthecoolerisinstalledorused,allthepackaging(includingcartonandplasticwrap)shouldbe
removed.

START UP
Pluginthecoolerandthecompressorisreadytooperate.
• Temperaturecontrolsetat#4positiongivesthecooleranapproximatetemperatureof35°F.Allowunitto
functionseveralhours,completelycoolingcabinetbeforechangingthecontrolsetting.
• Excessivetamperingwiththecontrolcouldleadtoservicedifculties.Shoulditeverbecomenecessaryto

replacethetemperaturecontrolitshouldbeorderedfromyourdealerorrecommendedserviceagent.
• Goodairowinyourcooleriscritical.Becarefultoloadproductsothatitneitherpressesagainsttheback
wallnorcomeswithinfour(4)inchesoftheevaporatorhousing.Refrigeratedairoffthecoilmustcirculate
downthebackwall.
LIGHT SWITCH LOCATION:
Theswitchislocatedonthefrontoftheevaporatorhousingtowardtherightofthecabinet.Openthefront
door.
NOTE:Iftheunitisdisconnectedorshutoff,waitve(5)minutesbeforere-startingunit.
RECOMMENDATION
Beforeloadingproducttheunitshouldberunfor2to3days.Thisallowsconrmationthattheelectricalwiring
andinstallationarecorrectandnoshippingdamagehasoccurred.Rememberthatthefactorywarrantydoes
notcoverproductloss.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
Wemaintainsarecordofthecabinetmodelnumberandserialnumberforyourcooler.Ifatanytimeduring
thelifeofyourcoolerareplacementpartisneeded,callthefactoryofcewiththemodelnumberandserial
numberofyourunittoplaceanorderforthepart.
Condensersaccumulatedirtanddustandrequirecleaningevery30days.Dirtycondensersresultin
compressorfailure,productloss,andlostsales--whicharenotcoveredbywarranty.
Airispulledthroughthecondensercontinuouslyalongwithdust,lint,grease,etc.Ifyoukeepthecondenser
cleanyouwillminimizeyourserviceexpenseandloweryourelectricalcosts.Thecondenserrequires
scheduledcleaningeverydaysorasneeded.Adirtycondensercanresultinnon-warrantedpartand
compressorfailuresandproductloss.
Propercleaninginvolvesremovingdebrisfromthecondenserbyusingasoftbrushorvacuumingthe
condenserwithashopvacorusingCo2,nitrogenorpressurizedair.
Ifyoucannotremovethedebrisadequatelypleasecallyourefrigerationservicecompany.
Onmostofthereach-inunitsthecondenserisaccessibleattherearoftheunit.Youmustremovethecabinet
grilltoexposethecondenser.Thecondenserlookslikeagroupofverticalns.Youneedtobeabletosee
