This appliance is esigne for the refrigeration of foo

compartment.
To ensure correct operation, this appliance shoul

Using the Appliance
Before Use
Remove all securing tapes.
Wash the insi e of the appliance with lukewarm water
with a little bicarbonate of so a a e (5 ml to 0,5 litre
of water). Do not use soap or etergent as the smell
may linger. Dry the appliance thoroughly.
Do not use detergents, abrasive powders,
highly perfumed cleaning products, wax
polishes or products containing alcohol.
FFTo Start the Appliance
1. Allow the appliance to stan for 2 hrs after
installation.
2. Plug in the appliance an switch on at the mains
supply.
3. Turn the thermostat control to the require setting.
A setting of 3 - 4 is usually suitable for normal
operation (see thermostat control).
4. Leave the appliance for approximately 4 hours for
the correct temperature to be reache before
placing foo insi e.

The Ice-making ompartment
This compartment is suitable for the storing of
commercially frozen foo an for making an storing
ice cubes.
How to make ice cubes
Fill the supplie ice cube tray ¾full with water an place
in the freezer compartment. Turning up the thermostat
control will spee up the freezing process, but
remember to turn the thermostat control back to its
original position.
To release the ice cubes, twist the tray along its length.
Do not use sharp or pointe objects to remove a frozen
ice cube tray from the ice-making compartment.
Storage Shelves
The shelves in the refrigerator compartment are
a justable to allow storage of large items.
The shelves can be re-arrange by opening the oor
to 90°.
The oor shelves are also a justable.
To allow the air to circulate within the fri ge
compartment o not cover the wire shelves
with paper or trays.

Food Storage

Frozen food storage
Storing rea y-frozen foo s is quite straightforwar .
The packs can be place besi e each other or on
top of each other.
You are strongly a vise to place rea y-frozen foo
in the compartment as quickly as possible after
purchase an we therefore recommen that you
buy them last. Also ensure that the external
packaging is intact.
Packaging which is swollen or has traces of refrozen
water roplets on the pack coul in icate that the
pro uct has not been kept at a suitable temperature
an that it may have lost its original quality.
Partially thawe foo must not be refrozen, it must
be consume within 24 hours.
Never excee the storage times in icate .
Do not open the ice-making compartment oor too

In the event of a power cut the foo in the ice-making
compartment will not be affecte if the power cut is
short an if the compartment is full. Do not open the

Before any maintenance of cleaning work is
carried out DISC NNECT the appliance from
the ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.
Internal leaning
Clean the insi e an accessories with warm water an
bicarbonate of so a (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse
an ry thoroughly.
NEVER use detergents, abrasive powders,
highly perfumed cleaning products or wax
polishes to clean the interior as these will
damage the surface and leave a strong
odour.
Regularly check the oor seals an wipe clean
to ensure they are clean an free from ebris.
External leaning
Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water.
Once or twice a year ust the con enser (black grille)
an the compressor at the back of the appliance with
a brush or vacuum cleaner, as an accumulation of ust
will affect the performance of the appliance an cause
excessive electricity consumption.
Defrosting
While in operation the ice-making compartment
becomes progressively covere with frost.
This frost, which acts as an insulator an thus prevents
the col from reaching the foo shoul be remove
whenever the thickness of the frost excee s 6mm (¼).
To carry out complete efrosting procee as
follows:
1. Push the rip tray completely in.
2. Place a tray on the upper shelf of the refrigerator
un er the rain hole of the rip tray.
3. Remove any foo from insi e the ice-making
compartment, wrap it in several sheets of
newspaper an store in a cool ry place.
4. Turn the thermostat knob on position << 0 >>.
To accelerate efrosting, place a bow of hot
water insi e the compartment (with a piece of
car boar un erneath the bowl as protection).
5. When efrosting is complete , ry thoroughly
an remove the water collecte in the tray.
Turn the thermostat knob on a me ium position
to restart the appliance.
After letting the appliance run for at least half an
hour replace the previously remove foo into
the ice-making compartment.
When efrosting it is not necessary to remove
the foo s from the inner oor an the
refrigerator compartment.
Important
A temperature rise of the frozen foo packs
uring efrosting may shorten their storage life.
Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost
from the evaporator as you coul amage it
beyon repair.
