This appliance is esigne for the refrigeration of foo
in a omestic home. It has a four-star frozen foo
compartment for ice making an frozen foo storage.
To ensure correct operation, the appliance shoul
be locate where the ambient temperature is
between 16-32 °C.

Using the Appliance
Before Use
Remove all securing tapes.
Wash the insi e of the appliance with lukewarm water
with a little bicarbonate of so a a e (5 ml to 0,5 litre
of water). Do not use soap or etergent as the smell
may linger. Dry the appliance thoroughly.
Do not use detergents, abrasive powders,
highly perfumed cleaning products, wax
polishes or products containing alcohol.
FFTo Start the Appliance
1. Allow the appliance to stan for 2 hrs after
installation.
2. Plug in the appliance an switch on at the mains
supply.
3. Turn the thermostat control to the require setting.
A setting of 3 - 4 is usually suitable for normal
operation (see thermostat control).
4. Leave the appliance for approximately 4 hours for
the correct temperature to be reache before
placing foo insi e.
Thermostat ontrol
The thermostat control situate insi e the refrigerator
regulates the temperature of the lar er compartment.
Thermostat control is marke from 1-5 the higher the

foods

How to use the four-star frozen
food compartment
The frozen foo compartment is separate from the
fresh foo compartment.
Place the foo to be frozen into this compartment.
Depen ing on the position of the thermostatic control
knob an the temperature in the compartment
(-18 °C or lower), frozen foo can be store here.
Do not allow fresh foo to come into contact with
foo s that are alrea y frozen.
How to make ice cubes
Fill the supplie ice cube tray ¾full with water an
place in the freezer compartment. Turning up the
thermostat control will spee up the freezing process,
but remember to turn the thermostat control back to
its original position.
To release the ice cubes, twist the tray along its
length.
Do not use sharp or pointe items to remove a frozen
ice cube tray from the freezer compartment.
Storage Shelves
The shelves in the refrigerator compartment are
a justable to allow storage of large items.
The shelves can be re-arrange by opening the oor
to 90°.
The oor shelves are also a justable.
To allow the air to circulate within the fri ge
compartment o not cover the wire shelves
with paper or trays.

You may hear faint gurgling or bubbling soun s
when the refrigerant is pumpe through the coils or
tubing.
When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being
pumpe roun an you will hear a whirring soun or
pulsating noise from the compressor.
A thermostat controls the compressor an you will
hear a faint 'click' when the thermostat cuts in an
out.
Food Storage
To obtain the best performance from your appliance:
Do not store warm foo or evaporating liqui .
Avoi buying frozen foo if you cannot store it
straight away. The use of an insulate container is
a visable. When you arrive home, place the frozen
foo in the freezer compartment imme iately.
Do not push foo together too much.
Do not store foo uncovere .
Ensure that foo place in the freezer compartment

Wrap the foo in polythene or aluminium freezing

quality. Partially thawe foo must not be refrozen,
it must be consume within 24 hours. Never

manufacturer.

Do not install the appliance close to sources of
heat, such as a boiler or ra iator.
Locate the appliance in a cool well ventilate
room an make sure that the air openings of the
appliance are not obstructe .
Avoi unnecessary frosting in the cabinet by
packing all foo stuffs into airtight packages
before placing them in the freezer compartment.

Before any maintenance of cleaning work is
carried out DISC NNECT the appliance from
the ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.
Internal leaning
Clean the insi e an accessories with warm water an

Do not use etergents, abrasive pow ers,
highly perfume cleaning pro ucts, wax
polishes or cleaning pro ucts containing
bleach or alcohol.
Regularly check the oor seals an wipe clean
to ensure they are clean an free from ebris.
External leaning
Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water.
Once or twice a year ust the con enser (black grille)
an the compressor at the back of the appliance with
a brush or vacuum cleaner, as an accumulation of ust
will affect the performance of the appliance an cause
excessive electricity consumption.
Defrosting
The refrigerator automatically efrosts every time the
compressor stops. The water is ischarge , via the
pipe, into a tray locate below the appliance, where it
evaporates.
Important
To avoi efrost water overflowing into the fri ge,
perio ically clean the water ischarge hole in the
centre of the V shape rip collector at the back of
the refrigerator compartment behin the sala
rawer(s). Use the special cleaner provi e which
you will fin alrea y inserte into the ischarge hole.
While in operation the ****-star compartment becomes
progressively covere with frost.
This frost, which acts as an insulator an thus prevents the
col from reaching the foo shoul be remove whenever
the thickness of the frost excee s 6 mm (1/4).
To carry out complete efrosting procee as follows:
1. Remove any foo from insi e the ****-star
compartment, wrap it in several sheets of
newspaper an store in a cool ry place.
2. Turn the thermostat knob to position << 0 >>. To
accelerate efrosting, place a bowl of hot water
insi e the compartment (with a piece of car boar
un erneath the bowl as protection).
3. Remove any loose pieces of ice as soon as possible.
4. When efrosting is complete , clean an ry
thoroughly.

operate correctly, contact your local Service Force Centre.
Please note that it will be necessary to provi e proof
of purchase for any in-guarantee service calls.
In-guarantee customers should ensure that the
above checks have been made, as the
engineer will make a charge if the fault is not a
mechanical or electrical breakdown.

If the appliance is not working correctly, please carry out the following checks before contacting your local

Turn the thermostat knob to a me ium position to
restart the appliance.
After letting the appliance run for at least half an
hour replace the previously remove foo into the
**** -star compartment.
When efrosting it is not necessary to remove the
foo s from the inner oor an the refrigerator
compartment.
Important
A temperature rise of the frozen foo packs uring
efrosting may shorten their storage life.
Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost from
the evaporator as you coul amage it beyon repair.

Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply.
Remove the lamp cover retaining screws, then take
the lamp cover off in the irection of the arrow an the
bulb can be change . (Type of the bulb: 230 V, 15 W,
E 14 threa )
After changing the bulb replace the lamp cover, an
retaining screws an reconnect the appliance to the
electricity supply.
When the appliance is not in use
When the appliance is not in use for long perio s
isconnect from the electricity supply, empty all of the
foo an clean the appliance, leaving the oor ajar to
prevent unpleasant smells.

Transportation, unpacking

white spirit.
After transportation the appliance must not be
switche on for 2 hours. This is to allow the
refrigerant to settle.

To reverse the bottom hinge assembly procee as
follows:
Disconnect the appliance from the electricity
supply.
Tilt the appliance backwar s, resting the top e ge
of the appliance on a stool or something similar.
Unscrew the a justable feet situate on both si es
at the front (2 pieces). Remove the lower oor
hinge plate by unscrewing the 3 retaining screws.
Remove the hinge pin from the bottom of the oor.
Slot the hinge pin into the hole in the hinge plate
an relocate the hinge assembly to the opposite
location an refit using the retaining screws.
Put the cabinet in the upright position.

Levelling
The appliance must be level. Level the appliance by
a justing the two a justable feet (1) at the front of the
appliance.
If require the washer (2) can be remove .

To reverse the top hinge assembly procee as follows:
Remove the 2 worktop retaining screws from the
back of the appliance.
Sli e the worktop towar s the rear an lift clear of
the appliance.
Remove the 2 upper hinge plate retaining screws.
Remove the hinge plate from the top of the oor.
Unscrew the hinge pin from the hinge plate an re-
insert on the opposite si e of the pate.
Rotate the hinge assembly 180° an insert the
hinge assembly into the opposite location.
Refit the 2 hinge plate retaining screws.
Relocate the worktop an refit the worktop
retaining screws.
To reverse the han le procee as follows:
Remove screw covers (if fitte ) an han le retaining
screws. Remove blanking plugs on the opposite
si e.
Relocate the han le to the opposite si e an refit
retaining screws (covers if fitte ), an replace the
blanking plugs.

Door Reversal of Freezer
ompartment
After reversing the refrigerator oor, it is necessary to
reverse the oor of the frozen foo compartment as
well.
Procee as follows.
Pull out the bottom pin hol ing the oor of the
frozen foo compartment (1).
Open the oor an remove it from the frame
carefully (2).
Reverse the oor.
Take the istance sleeve (3) an the upper pin (4)
out of the oor then replace the sleeve (3) to below,
the upper pin (4) to above.
Unscrew the screw fixing the bolt bo y an fix it on
the other si e with this screw (5).
Replace the oor of the frozen foo compartment
an fix it with the bottom pin (1).
This operation can be performe by your local Service
Force Centre, in which case a charge will be ma e.

Electrical onnection
Electrical onnection
Any electrical work required to install this
appliance should be carried out by a
qualified electrician or competent person.
This appliance must be earthed.
The manufacturer declines any liability should
these safety measures not be observed.
Electrical Requirements
Before switching on, make sure the electricity supply
voltage is the same as that in icate on the appliance
rating plate.
The appliance is supplie with a 13 amp plug fitte . In
the event of having to change the fuse in the plug
supplie , a 13 amp ASTA approve (BS 1362) fuse
must be use . Shoul the plug nee to be replace
for any reason. The wires in the mains lea are
coloure in accor ance with the following co e:

Blue: Neutral
Brown: Live
The wire coloure green an yellow must be
connecte to the terminal marke with the letter E or
by the earth symbol or coloure green an yellow.
The wire coloure blue must be connecte to the
terminal N or coloure black.
The wire coloure brown must be connecte to the
terminal marke L or coloure re .
Upon completion there must be no cut, or stray
stran s of wire present an the cor clamp must be
secure over the outer sheath.
