GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! When using electric tools, basic safety precautions should always be fol-
lowed to reduce the risk of re, electric shock and personal injury, including the following.
Read all these instructions before operating this product and save these instructions.
For safe operations:
1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches invite injuries.
2. Consider work area environment. Do not expose power tools to rain. Do not use
power tools in damp or wet locations. Keep work area well lit. Do not use power tools where
there is risk to cause re or explosion.
3. Guard against electric shock. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces.
(e.g. pipes, radiators, ranges, refrigerators).
4. Keep children and inrm persons away. Do not let visitors touch the tool or exten-
sion cord. All visitors should be kept away from work area.
5. Store idle tools. When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry, high or locked up
place, out of reach of children and inrm persons.
6. Do not force the tool. It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was
intended.
7. Use the right tool. Do not force small tools or attachments to do the job of a heavy
duty tool. Do not use tools for purposes not intended.
8. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry; they can be caught in moving
parts. Rubber gloves and non-skid footwear are recommended when working outdoors. Wear
protecting hair covering to contain long hair.
9. Use eye protection. Also use face or dust mask if the cutting operation is dusty.
10. Connect dust extraction equipment. If devices are provided for the connection of
dust extraction and collection facilities ensure these are connected and properly used.
11. Do not abuse the cord. Never carry the tool by the cord or yank it to disconnect it
from the receptacle. Keep the cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
12. Secure work. Use clamps or a vise to hold the work. It is safer than using your hand
and it frees both hands to operate tool.
13. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
14. Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for better and safer
performance. Follow instructions for lubrication and changing accessories. Inspect tool cords
periodically and if damaged, have it repaired by authorized service center. Inspect extension
cords periodically and replace, if damaged. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and
grease.
15. Disconnect tools. When not in use, before servicing, and when changing accessories
such as blades, bits and cutters.
16. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Form the habit of checking to see that keys
and adjusting wrenches are removed from the tool before turning it on.
17. Avoid unintentional starting. Do not carry a plugged in tool with a nger on the

switch. Ensure switch is off when plugging in.
18. Use outdoor extension leads. When tool is used outdoors, use only extension cords
intended for outdoor use.
19. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate tool when
you are tired.
20. Check damaged parts. Before further use of the tool, a guard or other part that is
damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its
intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts, free running of moving parts, break-
age of parts, mounting and any other conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or other
part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service center
unless otherwise indicated in this instruction manual. Have defective switches replaced by an
authorized service center. Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn it on and off.
21. Warning Use only accessories or attachments recommended in this instruction man-
ual or in the catalogue of ZENIT ТМ.
22. Have your tool repaired by a qualied person. This electric tool is in accordance with
the relevant safety requirements. Repairs should only be carried out by qualied persons using
original ZENIT TM spare parts. Otherwise this may result in considerable danger to the user.
Safety precautions forbidden actions
1. Do not operate the power tool in uncomfortable position, with no balance, with
stretched arms or one arm.
2. Do not lift cutting head with nylon line above the ground level. It may cause operator
injury.
3. Do not use the tool for other purposes other than trimming lawns.
4. Do not operate the tool for a long time. Take a break from time to time.
5. Do not the tool when you are tired, ill or under the inuence of alcohol, drugs or
medication.
6. Do not operate the tool without blade guard installed.
7. Do not modify the unit in any way.
8. Do not operate the tool near inammable liquids.
Safety precautions on operating electric brush cutter forbidden actions
1. Power source.
Ensure that the power source to be utilized conforms to the power source requirements speci-
ed on the product nameplate.
2. Power switch.
Ensure that the power switch is in the OFF position. If the plug is connected to a receptacle
while the switch is in the ON position, the power tool will start operating immediately and can
cause serious injury.
3. Extension cord.
When the work area is far away from the power source, use an extension cord of sufcient
thickness and rated capacity. The extension cord should be kept as short as practicable.
4. Make sure the blade guard is properly attached.

5. Follow instruction on blades operation and installation.
6. Blade thrust may occur when the spinning blade contacts a solid object. Blade thrust may
lead to serious injury. Keep others including children, animals, bystanders and helpers outside
the 15 m hazard zone. If the blade thrusts from a solid object, stop the motor and wait for the
spinning blade to stop. Then check the blade for damage.
7. Always wear eye, head and ear protection when using this tool. Keep others including chil-
dren, animals, bystanders and helpers outside the 15 m hazard zone.
8. Check your brush cutter before every use. Never operate the brush cutter until all blade
guards and guard extensions are installed.
9. Blade continues to spin by inertia after the brush cutter is switched off. Spinning blade can
cause injury to you or bystanders. Before maintenance switch off the brush cutter and make
the blade has stopped.
10. Keep others including children, animals, bystanders and helpers outside the 15 m hazard
zone.
11. Wear protecting footwear and gloves. Never operate without blade guard.

Danger zone
Only the operator must stay in the danger zone. Operator must wear protecting equip-
ment, protecting legs, feet, eyes, face and ears from objects thrust. Bystanders must
wear safety goggles.
Assembly procedures
1. Drive shaft installation
• Insert aluminum tube into the slot
• Depress the lock
• Direct the drive shaft to joints
• Release the lock
• Turn the handle clockwise to make it tight
2. Handle installation
Insert the handle into the aluminum tube. Insert the screw and tighten it with the nut.
Insert the handle into the collar. Adjust the handle position and tighten.
3. Additional handle adjustment
To adjust the additional handle:
- Install the brush cutter in steady position.
- Loosen the stop bolt.
- Adjust the handle.
- Tighten the top bolt.

4. Blade guard installation
Install the guard bracket on the gear case with the help of three mounting screws. Install
the blade guard on the bracket with the help of three mounting screws.
5. Cutting head installation.
Install the guard bracket on the gear case. Align the hole in the faceplate with the hole
in the drive shaft tube and insert a latch. Attach the cutting head to the drive shaft tube
(counter clockwise). Remove the latch and tighten the head with a nut.
6. Nylon line replacement
Before replacing the nylon line it is recommended to unplug the power cord from the
receptacle.
To replace the nylon line:
- Press the two notches on the cutting head.
- Remove the coil and the spring.
- Run the nylon line through special holes in the coil.
- Wind the nylon line according to the arrow mark.
- Perform the assembly in reverse order.
7. Guard and blade installation
Install the metal guard bracket on the gear case with the help of three mounting screws.
Install the guard bracket on the gear case. Install the blade between the lower and the
upper plates with nut. Make sure that locking pin is installed. Metal blade guard is used
only with metal cutting blade.
Abnormal vibration indicates that the blade is improperly installed. Stop the motor im-
mediately and check blade installation. Otherwise injury may occur.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
ATTENTION!
All models of brush cutters may kick back stones, metal or small objects. Carefully read
the following safety instructions.
Observe instruction manual. Carefully study instruction manual in order to understand
the tool design and to know the purpose of all controls. It is necessary to know how to
stop the mechanism and turn off the motor. It Is necessary to know how to put off the
harness.
Never let inexperienced person operate the machine. Always wear heavy, long pants,
boots and gloves. Keep all children, animals, bystanders and helpers outside the 15 m
hazard zone.
ATTENTION!
Always wear heavy, long pants, boots and gloves. Do not wear loose clothing and, jew-
elry, short pants, sandals or go barefoot.

CUTTING WITH NYLON LINE
Always install blade guard when cutting with nylon line. Always use blade guard with
trimming blade when cutting with nylon line.
In order to avoid the tool overheating it is recommended to remove cut grass from the
brush cutter regularly. Often grass winds around the drive shaft and hinders normal
operation of the tool. Brush cutter can be used for cutting weed and tall grass in hard-to-
reach places, along fences, at walls and around tree trunks. Besides the brush cutter can
be used for cutting by the roots.
Cut the grass from side to side, holding on the same level. Hold cutting block parallel to
ground. To determine the right height it is recommended to make a test cut. To make an
even lawn support the cutting block.
TRIMMING GRASS
Hold the brush cutter in front of you. The lower part of the cutting mechanism must not
touch the ground and the end of the nylon line must stay on desired cutting height.
Cut grass in direction from operator
TRIMMING GRASS ALONG WALLS AND FENCES
When cutting grass along walls and fences move the brush cutter slowly, trying to cut
grass as close to obstacle as possible. Do not touch the obstacle with brush cutter. It may
lead to line breakage.
TRIMMING GRASS AROUND TREES
When cutting grass along walls and fences move the brush cutter slowly. Avoid touch-
ing tree trunk. Move around tree from left to right. Cut grass with the end of the line.
TRIMMING GRASS BY THE ROOTS
Take special care when trimming grass by the roots.
During this operation keep others including children, animals, bystanders and helpers
outside the 15 m hazard zone. When cutting grass by the roots lean the brush cutter to
the left at an angle about 30 degrees. Before operation adjust position of the additional
handle.
ATTENTION!
Do not use metal blade for cutting edges at curbs or cutting by the root. It is safer to use
cutting head with nylon line.
ATTENTION!
Do not trim in areas where there are ends of wire fences. Do not trim in areas with low
visibility.
CUTTING WITH METAL BLADE
The mechanism is equipped with metal blade.
Metal blade is used for trimming bushes and pests with trunks up to 18 mm in diam-
eter.

Do not use serrate blades with this tool
ATTENTION!
Do not trim with blunt or damaged blade.
Inspect the area to be cut before each use. Remove objects which can be thrown or
become entangled.
ATTENTION!
Wear the harness. Adjust harness to lift cutting mechanism on several dozens of mil-
limeters from the ground. Cutting head and blade guard must be horizontal in all direc-
tions. Wear shoulder harness on right shoulder.
ATTENTION!
Do not use blade for cutting trees with diameter more than 18 mm.
Do not apply too much force to blade. Do not change cutting angle.
When using the screwdriver follow these rules:
• continuous use of the tool should not exceed 15 minutes;
• do not allow mechanical damage (strikes, falls etc.);
• protect the drill from external sources of heat and chemically active substanc-
es, as well as liquid and objects penetration;
• before disconnecting the tool from the power source turn off the On/Off switch;
• check the engine temperature, do not allow overheating;
• change the rotation direction only after switching off the tool and complete
stop of rotating parts.
Inobservance of these rules will make warranty void!
WARNING
Repair, modication and check of ZENIT power tools should be performed only in
authorized service centers ZENIT. While use or maintenance of power tools follow all
safety rules and standards.
