1. Who we are
We are a branch of the Khalifa family from
Damascus, which has taken the art of
manufacturing the lute (oud) musical
instrument a profession and craft
since 1984 in Syria and the Ara
world. While this profession is in
our veins throughout the generat-
ions and from grandparents to
children, we are the third generati-
on of the Khalifa family, which took
the name of Zeryab a trademark for
our work, Mohammed Ali Khalifaman-
ufactures the Damascene Lute as
well as some stringed instruments.
2.Our goals
We at Zeryab Co. aim to provide integrated
services in the field of musical
instrument industry and to provide
the best product accessible to all
consumers. we manufacture the
Lute instrument within research
and principles according to intern-
ational standards, our standards aim
to progress and improve the musical
instruments industry to its best.
We use the best local and imported materials
in our product industry. In addition, we perform a precise process of wood
processing to achieve the best quality. We always strive to continuously
study and develop the performance of our instruments. Our experience
and our endless expectations are our hope to provide the best product
that’s accessible to everyone.

3. Our features
We solved the issue where strings rise above the Ouds body by
adding a key to control the height of its neck.
This allows the player one way or the other to control the nature
of the instruments sound, and adjust strings height to what's
convenient to him .
In addition to that, with this added function we kept this
instrument from changes that could affect the wooden body in
general and especially on the lute's neck depending on the
atmospheric conditions.
This feature will be explained in detail in its own section in this
manual.
