Ⅱ、Installationdescription
①Preparationworkbeforeinstallation
Checkthecompleteness oftheboileraccessoriesaccordingtothepackinglistandthe
generaldrawing oftheboiler.Checkwhetherthereareanydamageanddeformation.Ifneed
liftthelargeboilerparts, anydamagetotheheatinsulationlayershouldbeavoided.
1.1 Organizationandpersonnel
Boilershouldbeinchargedbyspecialpersonnel,boileroperatorshouldjointhem,also
needpipefitter, fitter, lifting operator, coldworker,qualifiedwelderandassistant.
1.2 Study
Inordertolettherelevantpersonknowandmastertherelevantitemsofinstallation,lifting,
running operationandsoon,shouldorganize themtostudy,letthemfamiliarwiththe
followingdocuments:standardof “SupervisionRegulationfortheSafetyTechnologyofSteam
Boiler”, boilerdrawings, installationandoperationmanual.
1.3 Installationplace
1.3.1 Thebestinstallationplace shouldbeclosetothelocationsupplysteam,soastoshorten
steampipeline,decreasetheconstructionfees,decreasethedifferentialpressureandheat
loss.
1.3.2 Theequipmentofoil storageandtransferringshouldcomplywiththerelevant
requirements.
1.3.3 Feeding anddraining watershouldbeveryconvenient.
1.3.4 Thepathshouldbeverysmoothwhileinstallationandtransportingtheboiler.
1.3.5 Thearrangementofboilerroomshouldmeettherelevantregulationsof《SafetyTechnical
SupervisionRegulationforSteamBoiler》,chapter8issuedbyLaborandHumanMinistryof
thePeople sRepublicofChina.

1.4Preparationforfoundation
Accordingtofoundationsketch,well preparetheinstallfoundationforboilerand
pre-fabricationplateofladder.
1.4.1Afterboilerarriveinsite,checkallpartsaccordingtothepacking list.Re-checkthe
completeness ofboilersetaccordingtothegeneraldrawing.Checkwhetherthereareany
damageanddeformationduringtransportthelargeboilercomponents.
1.4.2Whenunloadtheboilerlargecomponents,canplace 8to10piece tubesbelowthesteel
platesoftwosidesofbedplate,pull itwithsteelropeandmaketheboilerlargecomponent
moveslowlyontherolledtubes.Atthistimeshouldpayattentiontothelocationforplacing
steelrope, insurenoanydestroytoallboilerparts.
②Installforboilerlargecomponents
Aftertheboilerisplacedonthetwostripfoundation,itwillhassomeincline,theforeend
ofaxiscenterlinewillhigherthanbackendforabout10to25mm(accordingtodifferent
foundationdrawing). Itisveryconvenientforblowingdown.
Afterchecktheleveltoboiler, add cementtoboilerbedsupportandtwowallfoot.
③Installationforchimney
Thechimneyheightshouldbeaccordingtotheuser srequirements.
3.1Whileassembling chimney,add asbestosropebetweenflanges,checktheperpendicularity
ofchimneythroughhanging perpendicularline,ifthereiserror,canadjustitbybacking piece
attheconnectinglocationofflange.
3.2Ifusesteelcable,itcanbestrainedbyscrew.Three piecesofsteelcableisuniform
distributedaroundacircle,shouldpayattentiontokeepthree steelcableshavethesamestrain
force roughly.
④Installationforpipeline, valvesandinstruments
4.1Installthepipeline,valvesandinstrumentsaccordingtodrawings.Waterpumpis
connectedwithwatertank, ifuserhasadditionalrequirements, canprovidesparewaterpump.
4.2Safetyvalvemustbeassembledafterhydraulictestingandconnectedtothetubefor
dumping steamsoastodumpthesteamtosafetyplace.Thesectionarea ofdumping steam
pipeshouldnotless thanthesectionarea oftheoutletofsafetyvalve,thepipelineshouldbe
arrangedtominimizetheresistance ofblowdownandkeepdraining watersmoothly.
4.3Theblowdownpipeshouldbeconnectedtoblowing downtanksorothersafetyplace.In
ordertoavoidhappening theaccidentofmoving orscald, thepipelinemustbefixed.
4.4Allsteampipelineexceptformainsteamvalveshouldbeassembledbyuser,thereisat
leastoneelbowatthemainsteampipeline,otherwiseshouldadd telescopictube.Thepipeline
mustbeinsulated.
4.5Thepipesfordraining wateratthelowerpositionofwaterlevelandwaterlevelautomatic
controllermustbeconnectedtosafetyplace.Thecockofwaterlevelgaugecanrotatequickly
andhasnowaterleakage.Thewaterlevelgaugemustbeassembledwithlightinginstallation.
4.6Thedialpanelofpressuregaugeshouldbemarkedwithredlinetoindicatethehighest
allowableworkingpressure.Thecockofpressuregaugeshouldrotatequicklyandhaveno
waterleakage.Thedrainageofwatershouldbeverysmooth.Theinsulationofpressuregauge
isforbidden.
⑤Theotherpartsinstallation
5.1Theoilpumpunitshouldbeinstalledonthebedplate(ifoil-firedpumpisinstalledinside
burner, itmeansoil-transferring pump).
5.2Theelectricalcontrolboxshouldbeinstalledatthepositionthatisconvenientfor
observationburner.
5.3Theburnerwillbeconnectedwithelectrodenozzleofboiler.
⑥Hydraulictesting
Afterfinishing theinstallofboilerpipeline,valves,instrumentandsoon,checkandclean
theinsidesurface ofboiler,closemanholeandhand-hole,conducthydraulictestingaccording

tothestipulationoftheitem7ofthisoperationmanual.
、 Introductionforboilerstructure
①Boilerbodystructure
1.1Theboilerheatingsurface isarrangedasthree returnsstructure.Thehorizontaland
longitudinalfurnaceisthefirstreturn,thefrontsectioniscorrugatedfurnace whichcan
decreasethebadinfluence totheboilerbodybecauseofheatexpansion.Thesmoketube
bundleweldedbetweenfront&backtubeplateformsthesecondandthethirdreturnthatcan
reduce theexhaustgastemperature.
1.2Theupperpartofboilerdrumissteamspace.Inordertoimprovesteamquality,thereare
steam-waterseparatingunitinsideupperpart.Themiddleandlowerpartiswaterspace,even
atthelowwaterlevel,alsocaninsurealltubesofthehighestheatingsurfacecanbeimmerged
intowater.
1.3Theboilerfrontandbacksmokeboxcanbedisassembledeasily,soitisveryconvenient
forcleaning &removeash, overhauling andmaintenance.
1.4Thereisfireobserveholeatthebackendofboilerfortheconvenienceofcheckthe
burning status.
1.5Boileraccessoriesanditsfunction
a. Mainsteamvalve---- onthetopofboiler,whichcantransferthesteamfromboilerto
steammainpipeorsteamcylinder.
b. Safetyvalve---- onthetopofboiler,whichcandischargeallthesteamatfullload
whentheboilerisoverpressureandcandecreasetheboilerpressure.
c. Waterlevelgaugeandwaterlevelcontroller----onthesteam –waterinterface,which
isusedforboilerwaterlevelindicationandforthesupervisionbyboileroperator.The
waterlevelcontrollerisusedfortransmittingthevalueofboilerwaterlevel.The
controlsystemwillcontroltherunning offeedingwaterpumpandburneremergency
stopaccordingtothereceivedsignals.
d. Feeding waterstopvalvesandcheckvalves----ontheshell sideforfeeding water.
e. Blowdownvalve----onthebottomofboilerfordrainingoff theboiler sdeposition
anddirt.
f. Gaugevalve----onthetopofboiler,tobeusedforconnectingtheinstrumentswith
steaminsideboiler.
1.6Therearenecessarymanholeandhand-holeontheboilerdrumfortheconvenienceof
boilermanagementpersonneldoinginternalinspection.
1.7Theoutsidesurface ofboilershellandsmokeboxispackedwithinsulationmaterialand
cold-rolledplate.
②Burning system
2.1Oil-firedsystem
Theactualworkingpressureshouldbeaccordingtotheregulationsofburnerinstruction.
2.2Gas-firedsystem
Thesystemworkingpressurewillbeconfirmedaccordingtodifferentgassource.
2.3Burner
2.3.1Oil-firedburner:itismechanicalpressuretypeburnerbythewayofdirectignition,
consistsofignitiontransformer,ignitionelectrode,magneticvalve,oilgunandsoon.The
windquantitycanbecontrolledbydamperadjustmentunitlocatedtheinletpositionoffan.It
ispermittedthattheinletoilpressurehassomechangeatthepreconditionthatinsure
atomizing qualityandoil-injectionquantity,butingeneralcondition,theoil-inletpressure
shouldnotless than0.98Mpa.
2.3.2Gas-firedburner:pleaserefertoinstruction.
③Automaticcontrol
Theautomaticcontrolsystemconsistsoffollowing items:waterlevelcontrol,pressure

control,process control,safetyprotectionandsoon.Iftheautomaticsystemhastrouble,can
startmanualoperationmode.
3.1Waterlevelcontrol
Thewaterlevelcontrolsystemconsistsofelectrode,relay,controlcircuitandsoon.There
areelectrodeswithdifferentsize(longorshort)insidewaterlevelcontrollerandwaterlevel
alarmunit.Whenwaterlevelchange,theelectrodewill contactwithwaterorseparatefrom
watertocontrolwaterpumpstartorstoprunning throughtherelayandcontrolcircuit,soasto
realize thefunctionofautomaticfeedingwater,shutoff waterattoo highwaterlevel,alarm
andstoprunning boilerattoolowwaterlevel.
3.2Pressurecontrol
Thepressurecontrolconsistsofmany(3to4)pressurecontrollerandmagneticvalve.
Workingpressurecanbecontrolbymultipleway,controltheburning statusaccordingtothe
differentoutsideload. Adjustthedifferentialandsetpointofpressurecontroller, canchangeits
dynamicproperty.
Nowtakeratedsteampressure1.0Mpaasanexample:
------1.04Mpa(safetyvalveopen);
------0.95Mpa(alarmforhightemperature,stopburning);
------0.9Mpa(stopburning);
------0.85Mpa(runatlowfire);
------0.8Mpa(runatlow&highfire);
------0.7Mpa(startburner).
3.3Process control
Fortheprocess control, pleaserefertooperationmanualofburningunit.
3.4Safelyignitionprotection
Duringboilerprocess controlling period,once finishpre-purging,willenterintoignition
process.Continueignitionforfiveseconds,ifstillcan testablishtheflameinsidefurnace
becauseofsomereasons,thephotoresistance hasnosenseoflight,stopburningandsendout
acoustical&lightalarm,continuepostpurging(forgas-firedboiler) thenstoprunning boiler.
Checkandfind outcausingreasonandremovethetroublethencanstartboileragain,
3.5Flameoutprotection
Duringrunningboiler,maysuddenlyhappentothephenomenaofflameoutinsidefurnace
becauseofsomereason, thevalueofphotoresistance willbecomelarger, cutoffsupplyoil and
gas,andsendoutacoustical&lightalarm,continuepostpurging(forgas-firedboiler),then
stoprunning boiler.Theboilercanstartagainonlyafterremoving thetroubles.
3.6Toolowwaterlevelprotection
Duringrunning boiler, whilewaterleveldrops tothelimittoolowwaterlevel, stopburning
andsendoutacoustical&lightalarm.
3.7Highwaterlevelprotection
Whenboilergettotoo highwaterlevelbecauseofsomereason, sendoutacoustical&light
alarm,mustfind outthecausingreasonintime.
3.8Toohighsteampressureprotection
Whensteampressuregetto98%ratedsteampressureorgetto100%ratesteampressure,
shouldstopburningofboilerandsendoutacoustical&lightalarm.
3.9Photoresistance failureprotection
Thephotoresistance isoneofveryimportantunitofburning controlsysterm,itsproperty
willdirectlyaffectthesafetyforrunning boiler.Sothiscontrolsystemhassafetyprotection
measures.
Whenthevalueofphotoresistance becomessmallorwhenthephotoswitchisbroken,the
relaycontactinsidecontrolboxwillbeoff, burningcan tcontinuenormally.
Inadditional,whenstoprunning boilerordidn testablishflame,iftheindicationlampof
burning ison,itmeansthatthephotoresistanceorphotoswitchhasbeenbroken,should

changeanewone.
3.10 Loss voltageprotection
Whilenormallyrunning boiler,theelectricnetworkmayhavenopowerorthevoltageis
droppedsuddenlybecauseofonecertainreason,boilerwillstoprunning.Whenelectric
networkisbacktonormalcondition,theboilerunit willnotstartoperationautomatically.Now
shouldpushtheburning startbuttonagain,thenboilercancontinuerunning againsoasto
avoidbadresult.
3.11Valveleakageprotection
Whenthereareleakagesinsidegaspipeline,insuretheburnernostart.
3.12 Lowgaspressureprotection
Whenthegaspressureinsidepipelineislowerthansetpoint, insureburnernostart.
3.13 Lowwindpressureprotection
Whenthefanappeartoo lowwindpressurebecauseofacertainreason,willcutoff
burning automaticallyorburnernostart.
Ⅳ、Boilerworkprinciple
Theboilertubesofheatingsurface andfurnace absorbtheheatoffiring oil,transferitto
theboilerwater,andwhenthewaterchangetosteambecauseofheating,steamwillbeup and
enterintothevaporspace becauseitsspecificgravitywasreduced,andtheleftspace willbe
madeup bythewaterwithmoreheavyspecificgravity,sothisprocess will formanatural
steam-watercirculation.Whenthewaterlevelbecomelowerbecausewaterchangedintothe
steamcontinuously,thewaterpumpwill feedwaterintotheboilersoastokeepitinthe
normalwaterlevel.Theabove-mentionedprocess continues,steamwillcontinuouslyproduced
byheatingthewaterbyabsorbing theafterheatoffiringoil.
Ⅴ、OperationManualofGasFiredBoiler
PleaserefertotheOperationManualofGasFfiredBoilerthatweprovideforyou.
Ⅵ、Operationrequirements
①Preparationbeforeoperating
Beforeoperating, pleasecheckallboilerpartscarefully, thedetailisasfollowing:
1.1 Whetherthemanholeandhand-holeissealed, whetherthefittingpartsissafety.
1.2 Whetherthefittingpartsissafety.
1.3 Whetherthedamperisveryagility.
1.4 Whetherthesteampipeline,feeding waterpipeline, fueloil&gaspipelineissufficient.
1.5 Whetherallcontrolswitchofcontrolboxissetonthelocation “OK”.
②Boiling outforboiler
Afterfinishing install&inspectionforallboilerparts, confirmtheyaresafety,thencando
boiling outforboiler.
2.1Ingeneral,theboiling outfornewboilershouldbeperformedbeforestartingtheunit.Itis
mainlyremovetheimpurityandoildirtinsideboiler.Whileboiling outforboiler,shouldadd
somesuitablechemicalmedicine,makeboilerwaterbecomealkalinewaterandremoveoildirt
andimpurity.
2.2Boiling outforboilercanusethechemicalmedicineofNa2CO3orNa3PO412H2O,
compoundtheabovemedicinewithwateras theuniformsolutionwithconcentrationof20%. It
isnotpermittedthataddthesolidmedicineintoboilerdirectly.

a. Themedicinequantityiscalculatedaccordingto100%purity.
b. IfnoNa3PO412H2O,canuseNa3PO4, butthequantityshouldbe1.5times.
c. Boiling outforboileronlyuseNa3PO4, shouldadd 6kg Na3PO4insideevery1m3water.
2.3Beforeaddingmedicine,keepwaterlevelatlimitlowwaterlevel.Thechemicalmedicines
shouldcompletelysolvedinthewaterpriorenteringintotheboiler,thenadd intoboiler
throughfeeding waterpump, keepitclosetohighwaterlevelwhileboiling outforboiler.
2.4Attheearlytimeofboiling out,starttheburner,burning itatlowload,keepthesteam
pressureup to0.35Mpa,thetimeisabout12hours.Attheendtimeofboiling out,keepboiler
pressureatthe75%workingpressure, thetimeisabout12hours.
2.5Keepthealkalineofboilerwater,analyze theboilerwaterperiodically,ifthealkalineis
less than1.5mol/C, shouldadd medicine. Ifthealkalinehasnochangefortwotimestoanalyze
sampling boilerwater, canfinishtheboiling outforboiler.
2.6Drainwaterunderpressurestatusafterfinishboiling outforboiler.Washthewatervent
valethatcontactwiththemedicine, keepnopluggingforblowndownvalve.
2.7Afterfinishabove-mentionedprocess,inletwaterandblowdownbyturnsuntil get
qualifiedwaterquality,thenstoprunning boiler,openblowndownvalve,drainoffboiler
water.
2.8Aftertheboilerbecomecold,openmanhole,hand-hole,washtheinsidesurfaceofboiler
withcleanwater,checkitagain,iffind stillexistoil anddirt,shouldboiling outforboiler
againaccordingtoabove-mentionedway.
③Running boiler
3.1Startandrunning boilernormally.
3.1.1Opentheairventvalveonthetopofboilerorliftthevalvecoreofsafetyvalve.
3.1.2Startburner,startrunning boilerunitaccording totherequirementsofoperationmanual
ofcontrolbox.
3.1.3Checkthewaterlevelgauge,ifthewaterlevelistoohighbecauseofheatexpansion,can
drainwaterthroughblownvalvetothenormalwaterlevel.
3.1.4Whensteamspurtfromtheairvalve, closethisvalve,makeboilerup pressureslowly.
3.1.5Checkthefeeding watervalve,blowdownvalve,waterlevelgauge,externalconnecting
pipelineofdrainoff valveofwaterlevelcontroller, iftheyarecoldmeanstherearenoleakage.
3.1.6Openthemainsteamvalvestepbystepandsupplysteam.
3.1.7Inordertokeepnormalrunning andsafetyforboilerunit,boileroperatorshouldoften
observeandsee whethertheboilerpressure,waterlevelandburning isinnormalcondition
duringrunboiler.
3.1.8Ifboilerunithappenstofailure,shouldstoprunning immediatelyandcheckit.Onlyafter
removeall failuresthencanre-startboiler.
3.2Stoprunning boiler
3.2.1Pushthebuttonof “burning stop”,boilerstopburning,makeall controlswitchtothe
positionof “stop”.
3.2.2Cutoff powerswitchonthecontrolbox.
3.2.3Closealltherelevantinlet&outletvalvesofwaterpump,oil pump.
3.2.4Closesteamvalve.
3.3Adjustmentforthequantityofwind andair
3.3.1Theaxisoftheairdamperatburnerairsuctionsideisconnectedthroughonepieceofrod,
soastomakeairdamperrunatthesamedirectionandstepdrivenbyservo-motor. Thespanof
airdamperisadjustedthroughservo-motor.
3.3.2Thespanofgasbutterflyvalveshouldbesamestepwithairdamper,itsmicro-adjustment

canberealizedthroughchangingthecurvatureradius.
④Adjustmentforsafetyvalve
Thesafetyvalveshouldbeadjustedforfirsttimeuse,forthedetail,canaccordingtothe
requirementsstipulatedonthetable7-2,No.143 ofthestandard《Safety&Technical
SupervisionRegulationforSteamBoiler》.

4.2Safetyvalveadjustmentmethod
Disassemblethepin,removetopcover,loosethehexagonnut,screwtheregulatingrod,
makethespringlooseortightandgettherequireddischarging pressureforsafetyvalve.After
finishing adjustment,tightthehexagonnutandtheotherparts.4.1Allsafetyvalvescan tbe
movedfreelyafteradjustment.
4.3All safetyvalvescan tbemovedfreelyafteradjustment.
4.4Donotknocktheanypartofsafetyvalve.Onlyusecontrolrodtoopensafetyvalve,no
otherway.
4.5Itisnotpermittedtorunboilernocalibrationforsafetyvalve.
4.6Aftercalibratedforsafetyvalve,itshouldbelockedorsealedwithlead.
⑤Supplysteam
Whenthesteampressureinsideboilerisclosetoworkingpressure,cansupplysteamto
outside.Beforesupplysteam,thewaterlevelinsideboilercan tbeoverthannormalwater
level.Whilesupplysteam,shouldopenmainsteamvalveslightly,letalittlesteamtowarm
tube,atthesametimeopenthedrainvalveonthepipelineanddraincondensedwater.The
timeforwarmingtubeshouldbeaccordingtothelength&diameterofpipeline,steam
temperatureandsoon.Ingenerally,itshouldnotless thantenminutes. Afterthetubeisheated,
openthemainsteamvalveslowly,atthesametimenoteall partswhetherhavesomeabnormal
sound.Afterfinishing supplysteam,checkallfittingparts, valve,instrumentonce againtosee
whetherhavesomeabnormalphenomenaofwater&steamleakage, tosee whetherallpartsare
innormalworkingcondition.Inordertoavoidwaterexistinginsidesteam,keepwaterlevel
neveroverthanglass board.
⑥Boilerdailymaintenance
Inordertoinsureboilersafely&economicalrunning, shouldwelldodailymaintenance.
6.1Feedingwaterrequirements
Itshouldbemakesometreatmentforboilerfeedingwater,thewaterqualityshouldcomply

Payattentiontoobservetheboilerwaterlevelallthetime,boilerwaterlevelcan tbe
higherthanlimithighwaterlevelandlimitlowwaterlevel.Ingeneral,thewaterlevelinside
waterlevelgaugeshouldhassomeslightshaking,iffind thewatersurfacehasnoanychange,
itpossiblyisplugged,mustwashitimmediately.
6.3Waterlevelgauge
Everyshiftshouldatleastwashwaterlevelgaugeforonetime.Iffind thereissteamor
waterleakage,shouldadd packingmaterial.Iftheglass boardisnotclear,orthewaterlevel
lineisnotclear, alsoitisstillnotgoodafterwashing, shouldchangeanewone.
6.4Feedingwaterequipment
Duringchangeshift, shouldstartmachineandcheckittosee whetherallfeeding water
equipmentsareinnormalcondition,iffind anyfailureshouldrepairitimmediately.

6.5Steampressure
Doattentiontothechangeofpressure,insurethesteampressureislowerthanthe
allowablehighestworkingpressure.
6.6Pressuregauge
Thebending tubeofpressuregaugeshouldbewashedforonetimeeveryshift.Checkto
whetherthepressureisinnormalcondition.Iffind thebrokenpressuregauge,shouldstop
running boilertorepairitorchangewithanewoneimmediately. Thepressuregaugeshouldbe
atleastcalibratedforonetimeeveryhalfyeartoassurethecorrectness ofpressuregauge.If
theerrorisoverthanregulatedallowableerror,shouldrepairitorchangewithanewpressure
gauge.
6.7Safetyvalve
Payattentionandkeepthesafetyvalvenormalfunction.Inordertopreventthesticking
betweenvalvediskandvalveseat,shouldpulltheliftinghandleofsafetyvalvetodo
dischargingsteamtest.Thiskind oftestingcanbedoneonetimeevery2～4weekforchecking
safetyvalve.
6.8Atomizing plate
Theatomizing plateinsideoilinjectoronlycanbecleanedbysoftcloth,itisnotpermitted
tocleanitwithhardthings.Otherwise,itmaydestroytheprecisionofatomizing plateand
affectitquality.
6.9Thephotoresistance shouldberemovedforexamination&testingeverythree month,
measurethevaluesofresistance ofbright&dark.

⑦Blowdownofboiler
Ingenerallythefeeding watercontainsmineralmatter,whenthewaterentersintoboiler
andafterbeing vaporizedthemineralmatterwill bedeposited.Soinordertoavoiddestroy
boilerbecauseofscaleandslag,shouldkeepthequalityofboilerwater.Whentheboilerwater
qualityisoverqualifiedvalveofthestandard,shouldmakeblowing down.Theblowing down
canbecontinuedperiodicallyaccordingtoactualcondition,ingenerally, onetimeeveryshiftis
sufficient.
7.1Iftwoorovertwoboilersuseonesameblowingdownmainpipeandallbranchtubeshave
nonon-returnvalve(ifadd non-returnvalveshouldpayattentiontothedischarging direction),
shouldbeverycarefulforblowing down.Itisnotpermittedthattwoboilercontinueblowing
downatthesametime.
7.2Theblowingdownshouldbeconductedatthestatusoflowloadandhighwaterlevel.At
thesametimeshouldmuchcareforboilerwaterlevel.Itwillbesuitabletodecreasewater
levelforabout25～50mmeverytime.
7.3Iftheblowing downtubeendisnotconnectedtotheinsidespace ofblowndowntankor
well,alsonoanyprotectionequipment,atthistime,inordertoavoidhappening anyaccident,
mustconfirmnoanypersonclosetoblowingdowntubeendthencancontinuethiswork.
Ⅶ、Maintenance ofboiler
①Inordertolengthenboilerusing lifetime,every3to6month,shouldstoprunning for
overallcheckandoverhauling.
1.1Stoprunning boilermethod
Afterboilerstopburningandwhentheboilerwatertemperatureislowerthan50℃，then

candrainall boilerwater,butatthistimeshouldopenmainsteamvalveandmakeboiler
connectwithatmosphere.Ifneedshortencooling time,canadd coldwaterfromfeeding water
tubeanddrainoffhotwaterthroughblowingdownpipeatthesametime,butthewaterlevel
shouldnotlowerthanthenormalwaterlevel.
1.2Inspection, cleaning andmaintenance
1.2.1Ifthereareleakagesofwaterlevelgauge, valvesandpipelineflange, dorepairing.
1.2.2Openburnerinstallationnozzle,hand-holecoveronthetopofboiler,removealldeposit
ash.
1.2.3Removetheashdepositandresidueoilinsidefurnace.
1.2.4Removethescaleandmud, washitwithcleanwater.
1.2.5Checktheinternal&externalsurface ofboiler.Forexample,checkwhetherthereare
corrosionphenomenaoftheweldofpressurepartandsteelplate.Iffind seriousdefaultshould
makerepairing intime.IfthefaultInotsoserious,canrepairitnexttimewhilestoprunning
boiler.Iffind someproblemsbuthavenoinfluencetosafety,shouldwell makerecordforlater
reference.
1.2.6Ifnecessary,disassemblealloutsidecaseandinsulationlayertodothroughoutinspection.
Iffind someseriousdestroypart,firstmustrepairitthencanuseit.Atthesametime,make
recordfortheresultofchecking &repairing.
②Everyyearshouldapplypainttothecaseofinsulationlayerandboilerbedplateforatleast
onetime.
③Ifnecessary, removeall residualashinsidechimney.
④Therearetwomethodsofwet&drymaintenance forlong-termprotectionofboiler.Ifstop
running boilerforoveronemonthshouldusedrymaintenance,ifless thanonemonthshould
usewetmaintenance.
4.1Drymaintenance
Stoprunning boiler,drainoff allboilerwater,removeall dirtinsideboilerandcleanit,
bakeitbyfaintfire, closeall hand-holesandvalvesofpipeline.
4.2Wetmaintenance
Stoprunning boilerthendrainoff all boilerwater,removealldirtinsideboilerandcleanit
thoroughly,re-addthetreatedwatertofullofwater,thenheatitto100℃,letthegasinside
eateroutoffurnace,closeallvalves.Thewetmaintenance isnotpermittedtouseforcold
weatherorplace foravoiddestroytheboilerbecauseoffreezing.
Ⅷ、Inspection&hydraulictestingforpressureparts
①Doperiodicalinspectiontointernalspace &externalsurface ofboileraccordingtothe
stipulationof “Safety&TechnicalSupervisionRegulationforSteamBoiler”.Ingenerally,do
internalinspectioneverytwoyears, do hydraulictestingtoboilerforonetimeeverysixyears.
②Exceptforaboveitem1mentionedperiodicalinspection,ifhappentooneoffollowing case,
mustdo internal&externalinspectionandhydraulictesting:
2.1Newinstalling, re-installing andmoveinstallingboiler.
2.2Stoprunning boilerforoveroneyear, beforere-startrunning boiler.
2.3Afterrepairorchangesomepressurepartsgreatlyandre-running boilerforoneyear.
2.4Accordingtotheboilerrunning status, hasdoubttotheequipmentsstatus.
③Beforeinspection,shouldremovealltheinternalscaleandexternalsmokedirtthoroughly,
ifnecessary,shoulddisassembletheexternalcoverandinsulationlayer.Theinspectionfocal
pointisasfollowing:
3.1Checktheboilerdrum,furnace weldandtube-holetosee whethertheyareinnormalstatus,
whetherexistleakage.
3.2Whethertheboilersteelplateshavecorrosion, bulbordeformation.
3.3Whetherthereisscaleorwaterslagbesidepressureparts.

3.4Whetherthereisfaultattheconnectingpositionbetweenfeeding waterpipe,draining
waterpipeandboilerdrum.
④Iffind seriouscorrosion, shouldcheckthestrengthcalculationbeforehydraulictesting.
⑤Testingpressure
Thetestingpressureshouldcomplywiththerequirementsoftable10-1of “Safety&
TechnicalSupervisionRegulationforSteamBoiler”.
⑥Hydraulictestingsequence
6.1Thehydraulictestingshouldbeconductedundertheconditionofthesurrounding
temperatureupperthan5℃,ifthetemperatureislowerthan5℃,shouldtakesome
anti-freezing measures.Thetemperatureoftesting watershouldbehigherthansurrounding
dewpointtemperaturesoastopreventdewontheboilersurface;buttoo hightemperaturealso
isnotsuitable,becauseifmaycausevaporizationortoo largestress oftemperaturedifference,
ingenerally,itshouldbe20℃～70℃.
6.2Aftertheboilerisfilledwithwater,raisethepressurestepbystepto0.4Mpa,dotightness
inspectiononetime,ifnecessary,cantightenthestud offlange,manholecoverandhand-hole
coverforonetime.
6.3Hydraulictestingshouldbecontinuedslowly,whenwaterpressureisup toworking
pressure,shouldstopraising pressure,checkittosee whetherthereareeaterleakageor
abnormalphenomena,andthenraisethepressuretotestingpressure.Keepitfor20minutes,if
thepressuredidn tdrop,shouldmakeinspectionafterdroppingtoworkingpressure.During
inspectionthepressureshouldkeptnochange.
Iffind anyleakageshouldwellmakerecordforlaterrepairing whenthepressuredropto
atmosphere.
⑦Afterhydraulictesting,iffind thecomponentsmeetthefollowing requirements,itshouldbe
consideredasgood.
7.1Noanywaterdropandwaterfogonthemetalwall andweld.
7.2Noanyresidualdeformationcanbeobservedbyeyes.
⑧Safetymeasuresandattentionitems
8.1Itisnotpermittedtotightenflangestud whenthepressureisoverthan0.4Mpa.
8.2Inordertoavoidhappening dangersbecauseofcrowd,shouldprovidespecialmarkwhile
conductinghydraulictest.
8.3Nostandtheoppositeofweldhole,flangeandvalveswhileexistpressure.

standardof《SafetySupervisionRegulationforSpecialEquipment》.
