On your Mobile Phone Click Table of Contents at the top of your phone screen and find the topic you wish

This is not necessarily a Manual to read page by page, but rather a How to type of guide, Cheat Sheet. As

you practice different Modes and Settings you will become more familiar with the user display and what

mode you are in and how to do things on the ZL Hoop.

1.2. Just Received My Hoop

Congratulations on your purchase !

Thank you for choosing the ZL Hoop as your Smart LED Hoop of choice and joining our family of

Flow Artists, Enthusiasts and Dance Hooper’s.

The ZL Hoop was released in August of 2016, after a lengthy development period of almost 2 years.

The Hoop is entirely designed, hand build and assembled in house from beginning to end in

Marietta, Georgia, USA.

While designing the ZL Hoop we looked and strived to innovate on every aspect of the product.

We have build a complete new system that uses Smart Patterns as oppose your usual Picture

Upload, this allows the ZL Hoop to be customized in thousands of different ways. It runs on the

ZL FLOW Engine that has also been created in house. The ZL Smart LED Hoop Has a *removable

battery with NO LED GAPS*, allows for DIY retubing is water resistant and shock proof.

We are committed to continuously improve our Smart Hoops, Customer Service, Helping you with

any issue you will come across.

We have created this new Interactive User Guide after lots of feedback from our customers and what they

needed to help them with the ZL Hoop. There are also

Video Tutorials and the guide keeps growing as we find more things to add to it.

To Start Hoop Shuffle Press Any Key on Numeric Keypad

To Stop Hoop Shuffle Press OK to pause, Press OK again to Return to Standby Mode

STANDBY MODE is the Home Screen of the ZL Hoop

The Smart ZL Hoop uses Smart Patterns, these are like templates rather then uploaded images. Upon

starting the Hoop it will begin in Shuffle Mode just like any other

Smart Hoop. After that the ZL is different as you can setup and control every pattern, the colors, how many

times it shows up around the hoop, add special effects and so much

more. Using this guide will help you on your journey and we are always available to assist you when you

need help.

3. Charge your Batteries to Full (Charger will show Green LED when battery Full)

2. ZL Hoop Navigation

The ZL Hoop has a navigation menu that is primarily used for setting up different options and configuring

the hoop when you desire to use different functionality. The LED Display provides feedback to the user

during the setup process.

The Gen 2 version starts in shuffle mode and remembers the last settings you have selected previously. The

Gen 1 starts in Standby Mode(HOME)

The Menu Flow System Steps:

1. From Standby Mode, you enter into Other Modes

2. Once in a Mode, use Same Button for Red Modes to choose Options*,use Same Button in Green

Modes to turn *Mode On/Off

3. Use Arrow Keys to Choose Options or Settings when you see WHITE LEDS

4. Use Numeric Keypad to Choose Options or Settings when you see BLUE LEDS

5. Exit Standby Mode, this saves the Options & Settings you selected for that MODE

To navigate the ZL Hoop Menu System you have to begin from the Standby Mode (Home)

1. Press button to always return back to Standby Mode,stop the shuffle mode

STANDBY MODE this is the Home display of the ZL Hoop,it shows your battery life, Serial Number,

Shows what Shuffle Mode is active and for Gen 2 shows if Smart Mode is On/Off. You always need to be in

this Mode to enter into any other Mode.

GREEN MODES which are SFX added to patterns can be turned On/Off.Example turning on Strobe Mode

will make every pattern Strobe in the selected color.

RED MODES are always ON or Active as they are required for Each Pattern to Play. Example choosing a

different group to shuffle on from the Pattern Vault.

ZL SHOW MODE when turned OFF shuffles only on the Selected Group and Pattern within that

Group*_, When *turned ON allows you to setup options on how to shuffle the groups, it is also used to

shuffle your presets and to Save/Delete your saved presets Slots(25)

Note: You can’t enter into other modes when you are not in Standby. Always exit the

chosen mode by pressing OK and this will return back to Standby Mode and save all

your settings.

MODES

When you are in a Mode you Select an Option and Settings for that Option

Example: In Color Wheel Mode you Select Option 1: Use Single Color Wheel, Then this

Option has 9 Settings*(Set to use *Color Wheel 1, or 2, or 3 and so on)

Then Exit Mode to Save your Selection

START SHUFFLE begins the ZL Hoop shuffling process based on what was setup in all the other modes.

To Start or Restart Shuffle Press Any Key on the Numeric Keypad 1-9

2.1. ZL Hoop 24 Key Remote

The ZL Hoop comes with a 24 Key IR Remote Control. This remote uses coin batteries to operate.

RED MODES Buttons (Refer to ZL Hoop Navigation for RED MODES)

Brightness, use this to select 4 options of brightness level

Speed, use this to control pattern speed and chase speed

Pattern Vault, use this to select Pattern Group and Patterns within Groups

Color Wheel, use this to select pattern colors

This button doubles as 0 for Numeric Key Pad and Also White Color Selection

Offset, use this to select number of patterns to show on hoop
