Using these instructions
Please refer to all safety and installation requirements detailed in the Quick
start guide provided with the HydroTap Command Centre, and HydroTap
Command Centre installation instructions found online, prior to installation of
or any change to the complete system.

Position the tap such that it dispenses into
the sink bowl with clearance for a cup or tea
pot.
Alternatively, refer to pages 8-9 for tap
installation on a Font.
Position Command Centre and Tap as close
together as possible.
BC Compact
Ensure that taps are positioned to minimise
the risks of scalding when dispensing
boiling water.

Tools needed for tap installation
In addition to normal tools, the following (or equivalent) will be required.
• 35mm diameter sheet metal hole punch for sinks.
• 35mm diameter hole saw for worktops.
• Hole saw for font installation (optional - refer to font kit)
• Tube spanner for fixing the tap assembly (supplied).

Be aware of the risks of hazards which could
cause harm when using tools. Assess the

1Top Touch Tap installation
• Pass the tubes and USB cable through
the Ø35mm hole. Use a tube spanner
to secure the tap in place.

• Cut a Ø35mm hole in the worktop /
sink.
• Apply a light smearing of silicone
sealant on the underside of the spacer
to ensure a watertight fit.

• Use the template supplied on pages 6-7
to locate and cut the 35mm hole and 3x
6.5mm clearance holes in the correct
orientation for either left or right hand
operation.
• Use 3x cap screws to suit your benchtop
thickness.
• Apply a light smearing of silicone sealant
on the underside of the O-ring seal to
ensure a watertight fit.
• Pass the tubes and USB cable through
the Ø35mm hole.
• From below the bench, feed the three
tubes and USB cable through the clamp
block, noting the orientation marker.
• Fit the 3 cap screws and spring washers.
Tighten with an allen key.
• Use a tube spanner to secure the fixing
nut.

• Position the Font template (provided
in the kit) on the bench, so that the
Command Centre is within reach of the
tap hoses and USB cable.
• Cut the holes as shown in the template.
• Apply a light smearing of silicone
sealant on the underside of the spacer
under the Font. Locate the spacer
under the Font base.
• Pass the tubes and USB cable through
the hole and use a tube spanner to
secure the tap in place.
• Position the Font template (provided
in the kit) on the bench, so that the
Command Centre is within reach of the
tap hoses and USB cable.
• Cut the holes as shown in the template.
• Apply a light smearing of silicone sealant
on the underside of the spacer under the
Font. Locate the spacer under the Font
base.
• From below the bench, feed the three

Prepare the drainage point
4
• Locate pipe branch attachment
temporarily in position on vertical pipe,
upstream from a drain trap.
• Mark spigot hole position, remove
attachment & drill out 13mm diameter.
• Apply sealant to spigot groove.
• Ensuring spigot is pointing upwards, snap
attachment into place over hole.
• Secure with worm drive clamps.
• Attach drain pipe to spigot.
• Secure with worm drive clamp.

Position upstream of a drain trap.
Drain pipe must have constant fall.
Ensure there are no kinks or sags.
Secure Font & Tap, attach drain (underneath)
• Secure flexible drain pipe (not supplied) with a
worm drive clamp.
• If required, use an elbow fitting under the Font
to prevent hose kinks.

• Test for leaks and re-seal if

USB Connection
Connect the cable from the tap to the black junction box, using the
round 4-pin plug.
Check the orientation of the USB plug and connect it to the undersink
unit, without forcing the plug.
Fix the junction box in an elevated position, so that any possible water
leak will drip off the cable and will not run to the cable connection point.

(BCS, CS) Blue JG pipe from tap.
Cut to length.
Vent Clear silicone tube from tap. Cut to length.

Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth and then wipe dry with a clean, dry cloth.

Legacy mode must be enabled for the Industrial Side Touch or Industrial Top
Touch tap to function with HydroTap G4 or G5 Command Centres.

Tap Operation: Top Touch Tap
Filter Change
Light off: filter is operating within
its normal specified lifespan.
Flashing slowly: filter is due for
replacement. The LCD will show
“Filter Change”. Refer to the
User Guide to replace the filter
cartridge.
Red Boiling Water Light
On: Boiling water is ready.
Flashingslowly:Waterisbelow
the desired temperature.
Safety light
Light on: No boiling water
will be dispensed unless the
RED and SAFETY buttons are
pressed simultaneously.

Press the RED and SAFETY buttons simul-
taneously, to dispense boiling water
for 5 - 15 seconds (adjustable). Release
the buttons to stop the flow of water.
Note: No Boiling water will be
dispensed when Hot Isolation is
enabled.
Chilled water
Press the BLUE button to
dispense chilled for 5 - 15
seconds (adjustable).
Release the button to stop
the flow of water.
Blue Chilled Water Light
On: chilled water temperature is
within the set range.
Flashing slowly: chilled water
temperature is not within the set
range. During heavy usage, the
temperature can rise out of this
range.

Tap Operation: Side Touch Tap
IMPORTANT:
For the Industrial Side Touch Tap, to allow
the dispensing of boiling water, the safety
lock setting must be DISABLED using
the LCD touch screen on the Command
Centre.
Press [Menu] - [Safety & Security] -
[Boiling Safety].
Press the toggle to DISABLE “Boiling safety
lock”.
Note: “Hot isolation” settings are not
available for the Industrial Side Touch tap.

Press both RED buttons simultaneously
to dispense boiling water, for 5 - 15
seconds (adjustable). Release the
buttons to stop the flow of water.
