Read These Warnings First
Please read all installation requirements, installation procedures and
precautions before installing any Zip Superdry hand dryer.
Never attempt to install any Zip Superdry hand dryer without reading all of the
applicable instructions.
All electrical connections must comply with current IEE wiring rules.
This appliance is not designed for use by young children or infirm people
without supervision.
Young children should be prevented from having access to ensure they are not
able to use or play with the heater.
This appliance must be earthed.
If the power supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by a Zip Service
Provider or a qualified electrician.
Do not remove the cover of the appliance under any circumstances without
first isolating the appliance from the power supply.
Do not use strong, corrosive or abrasive cleaners to clean the case of the
appliance.

Installation Instructions
Positioning
The dryer should be positioned on a wall at a suitable height (see table) and
within 900 mm of a standard 220 – 240 AC power outlet wired to a double pole
fused spur with a minimum break rating of 13 amps.
Fastening
Remove the two socket screws on the underside of the dryer.
Lift the lower part of the dryer cover forward about 12 mm then push cover
upward to unlatch top of cover from back plate. Remove earth link from front
wall of case. Place cover in a position away from potential damage.
Position back plate on wall as shown.
Fasten dryer to wall using either four 6 mm toggle bolts (for timber or steel
framed walls) or 6 mm masonry anchors (for masonry walls).
Replace earth link connection to front wall of cover.
Latch top of cover on to back plate, ease base of cover into place, and then
replace screws.
Connecting
Drill hole for rear cable entry before fixing back plate to wall, fasten back plate
to wall, wire to a double fused spur with a minimum break rating of 13 amps,
replace cover before power is turned ON.
Testing
Place hands under dryer to test that dryer turns itself ON.
Withdraw hands from dryer to test that dryer turns itself OFF.

Operating Instructions
Drying Hands
Dryer is activated by an infra-red light-emitting diode (electronic sensor).
The sensor is activated by placing hands immediately below dryer.
Fan and heating element are ON only when hands are beneath dryer.
Drying Face
To dry face, tilt the pivoting flap to direct the air stream towards the face.
It is recommended eyes should be closed or protected during face drying.
Maintenance
The dryer case is high strength cast alloy with a white enamel finish.
Regular wiping with a soft cloth and mild detergent will retain its appearance.
Minimal maintenance is required to keep a Zip Superdry in working order.
If the dryer fails to start, check the power supply, if power is ok call a
Zip Service Provider.

Zip Heaters (UK) Ltd warrants that, should any part fail within 12 calendar
months of installation, that part will be repaired or replaced free of charge by
Zip or its Distributor or Service Provider, except as set out below, provided the
appliance is installed and used strictly in accordance with the instructions
supplied, and that failure is not due to accident, misuse, abuse, or to any
alteration, modification or repair by any party not expressly nominated by Zip.
No costs are payable by the customer other than any mileage or travelling-time
charges incurred by a Zip Service Provider or the cost of removal, cartage and
re-installation of any component of the appliance if it needs to be returned for
repair to Zip or its Distributor.
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from non-operation of the
appliance or consequential damage to any other goods, furnishings or property.
Zip does not exclude, restrict or modify any liability that cannot be excluded,
restricted or modified or which cannot, except to a limited extent, be excluded,
restricted or modified as between the owner or user and Zip under the laws
applicable.
Furthermore, this warranty does not displace any statutory warranty, but, to the
extent to which Zip is entitled to do so, the liability of Zip under any statutory
warranty will be limited at Zip’s option to the replacement of the appliance or
supply of equivalent appliance, the payment of the cost of replacing the
appliance or acquiring an equivalent appliance, or the payment of the cost of
having the appliance repaired or the repair of the appliance.

of the Zip warranty.
