4-BUTTON KEYFOB REMOTE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The2GIG4‐ButtonKeyfobRemote(2GIG‐KEY2‐345)communicates
withthe2GIGControlPanelonthe345MHzfrequency.Itgivesusers
theabilitytoturnthesecuritysystemONandOFFbeforeenteringthe
homeorafterexiting.Ifthereisanemergency,youcanturnonthe
sirenandautomaticallycallthecentralmonitoringstation.Keyfobs
canbeprogrammedtooperatetheprogrammableoutputinthe
ControlPanel.Usewiththe2GIGUniversalGarageDoorReceiver
(2GIG‐GDR1‐345)toopenagaragedoor.Thekeyfobisalithiumcoin
battery‐powered,wirelesskeyfobdesignedtofitonakeychain,ina
pocket,orinapurse.Itprovidesaconvenientoptionforthefollowing
systemoperations:
•Armthesystem(doors,windows,andmotionsensors)
•Armthesystemwithnoentrydelay(ifprogrammed)
•Disarmthesystem
•Triggerpanicalarms
•Turnsystem‐controlledlightsonoroff(viatheopencollector
output)
•Otheropencollectoroutputfunctions(ifapplicable)

•Program(learn)thekeyfobsintothecontrolpanelasnon‐
supervisedsensors.
•Eachlearnedkeyfobusesoneoftheavailablesensornumbers.

Usethefollowingguidelinestoaddkeyfobstothe2GIG‐GDR1‐345:
•Pressandreleasethelearnbutton.
•Thelearnindicatorwilllightifthere’sroominmemory
•Activatethe*(Auxiliary)buttononthetransmitterwhilethe
indicatorislit(within15seconds)
• Receiverindicatorflashes
•Repeatstepsforadditionaltransmitters(upto10)

howtoinitiatepaneltestmode.
Testthekeyfobbypressingeachoneofthekeyfobbuttons:
•Disarmbutton.Holdfortwo(2)secondstodisarmtheControl
Panel.Doors,windows,andmotionsensorsaredisarmed.
•Awaybutton.Holdfortwo(2)secondstoarmtheControl
PanelinAwaymode.Doors,windows,andmotionsensorsare
armed.
•Staybutton.Holdfortwo(2)secondstoarmtheControlPanel
inStaymode.Doorsandwindowsarearmed.
•Auxiliarybutton.Ifprogrammed,cantriggerapre‐selected
output.SeetheControlPanel’sInstallation&Programming
Guidefordetails.
•Away&Disarmbuttons.Ifprogrammed,pressingBOTHthe
AwayandDisarmbuttonsatthesametimeforfive(5)
seconds,willsendoneoffourtypesofemergencysignals:(1)
silentpanic;(2)audiblealarm;(3)silentpanic;or(4)fire.
NOTE: Itisrecommendedthatasystemtestbeperformedper
theControlPanel’sInstallation&ProgrammingGuideatleast
onceayear.
Inserting and Replacing the Battery
Thekeyfobarrivesreadytouse(batteriesalreadyinstalled).
Toreplacethebattery:
1Removethescrewfromthebackofthekeyfob.
2Separatethekeyfob’sfaceplatefromitsbackplate.
3Slidetheexistingbatteryoutfromunderthemetalbatteryclipon
theprintedcircuitboard.
IMPORTANT: Alwaysdisposeand/orrecycleusedbatteriesin
accordancewiththehazardouswasterecoveryandrecycling
regulationsforyourlocation.Yourcity,state,orcountrymay
alsorequireyoutocomplywithadditionalhandling,recycling,
anddisposalrequirements.
4Insertthereplacementbatteryintothemetalbatterycliponthe
printedcircuitboard.Theplus(+)signonthebatteryshouldbe
facingupandtheminus(‐)sidefacingdownasillustratedbelow.

6Replacethekeyringinthespaceprovidedbottomofthefob.Then
snapthekeyfobfaceplateandbackplateclosed.
7Securethescrewintothebackofthekeyfob.
WARNING: Failuretofollowthesewarningsandinstructionscan
leadtoheatgeneration,rupture,leakage,explosion,fire,or
otherinjury,ordamage.Donotinsertthebatteryintothe
compartmentinthewrongdirection.Alwaysreplacethe
batterywiththesameorequivalenttype(seeSpecifications).
Neverrechargeordisassemblethebattery.Neverplacethe
batteryinfireorwater.Alwayskeepbatteriesawayfromsmall
children.Ifbatteriesareswallowed,promptlyseeadoctor.
