Returns:
Please inspect all orders promptly upon receipt. Returns will be accepted only under the following conditions:
Must have a pre-authorized RMA number. Call our customer service department prior to shipping anything
back to Switch-It.
Must be in resalable condition.
Repair or replacement is at the option of Switch-It.
No returns on products after 90 days of purchase
We will not accept returns on custom items. We will only repair and return the item.
Freight back to Switch-It is the responsibility of the customer. If an item is defective, Switch-It will pay the
return freight on the repair or replaced item.
All returns are subject to a 20% restocking charge
Warranty:
All electronics components are warranted for one year from date of purchase
All wearable items (covers, pads, etc.) and mounting hardware are warranted for three months from date of purchase

Basic set-up instructions for P&G R-Net series electronics through
the On-Board Programming option or Handheld programmer
1. Connect DB9 plug of Versa Guide cable into Port 1 of OMNI display (provided by wheelchair
manufacturer).
2. Access the programming menu via on-board programming option on the Omni (may require a dongle
depending on the R-Net version) or through the Handheld programmer.
3. From main menu, select Omni (right navigation key).
4. Scroll down to Profiled and select (right navigation key).
5. Under the Port row, select 1 for desired profiles (“+” or “-“ keys).
5. Back up to Omni menu (left navigation key).
6. Scroll down to Port 1 and select (right navigation key).
7. Highlight SID and use “+” or “-“ keys to select Prp.
9. Scroll down to Switches and select (right navigation key).
10. Confirm User Switch is on NO (normally open).
11. Confirm Switch Detect and 9 way Detect is set to Off.
12. Back up to main OBP menu, scroll down to Input Devices and select (right navigation key).
13. Ensure Desired Profiles are set up for Omnior Uni.
14. Cycle power on Omni.

Basic set-up instructions for Q-Logic/Curtis electronics
Through the handheld programmer
1. Connect DB9 plug of Versa Guide cable into port of Enhanced Display (provided by wheelchair
manufacturer).
2. Access the chair programming menu on the color handheld programmer .
3. Scroll to Program Adjustments icon and press Select key.
4. Highlight Specialty Control folder (up & down navigation keys) & select (right navigation key).
5. Scroll down to Active Device and Proportional (“+” and “-“ keys).
6. Scroll down to Proportional folder & select (right navigation key).
7. Highlight Joystick Setup folder & select (right navigation key).
8. Back up one level out of Joystick Setup folder.
9. Scroll down to Device Options/Timing folder & select (right navigation key).
a. Ensure Device Double Command is Disabled
10. Cycle power on Enhanced Display.
Basic set-up instructions for Dynamic DX/DX2 electronics
through the DX Wizard programming software
1. Connect DB9 plug of Versa Guide cable into 9 pin port of the DX Dongle (provided by Switch It).
2. Connect the DX Dongle Bus connector into a DX2 module with display (typically the REM550
joystick which is provided by wheelchair manufacturer).
3. Access the electronics programming by plugging the DX programming dongle into the display and a
computer loaded with the DX Wizard programming software.
4. Read the controller’s program to the programming software (Click the “Read from Controller” icon).
5. Under the DX2-REM55x User Profile Options section, Select “RJM”in the Joystick Sources Row for
each profile that is desired to be driven by the VG.
6. Transfer the new program to the controller (Click on the “Write to Controller” icon).
7. Cycle power on REM550.

Additional Information: There are 2 mono jack ports located at the bottom of the VersaGuide. One of
them is for Mode and the other is connected to the separate mono plug pigtailed at the end with the BD9. This
mono plug can be plugged into the On/Off jack on the display for On & Off functions. Both ports can be used
with Switch-It’s Flex Switch or with any 1/8” mono plug mechanical switch, i.e.: Mini Button or Spec Switch
(sold separately, please contact your sales representative for details).

The VersaGuide can be affected by Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI).
If the chair acts in an erratic manner, the power chair should be shut down and not operated.
If the gimbal on the VersaGuide is damaged due to too much pressure, it can cause the chair to operate erratically.

If any of the cables for the VersaGuide unit becomes frayed, cut, or disconnected in any way, the chair should be
shut down and not operated until repaired.
The VersaGuide is extremely sensitive to shock and vibration. Abrupt movements from external
devices (vehicle, elevator, lift ramp, etc.) may activate the joystick. To avoid unwanted
activation when the user is not driving the wheelchair, power off while riding in a vehicle,
elevator, on a lift or any other time vibration or abrupt movements may occur.
Avoid use under high power lines and around Cellular phones, which produce electromagnetic
interference.
The VersaGuide is a sensitive electronic device. If at any time the wheelchair operates erratically
the power chair should be shut down and you should contact your wheelchair dealer.
Keep this device dry at all times to avoid malfunction.
