2Installation
2.1 Proper location
•EasyRouteisdesignedforverticalmountingonsuspension holes(usethemounting
pattern).Thisposition isthe bestforsignalreceptionbecauseaverticalantenna is
used.EasyRoutecanbeoperatedinthe horizontalpositiontoowheretheGSM
signalisgood.
•Install EasyRoutewithrespecttotheGSMsignalstrength–check thesignalstrength
usingtheEasyRoute’sweb interface.
•PlaceEasyRouteoutofrangeof sensitivedevicesandhumanbodiesforelectromagnetic
interferencereasons.
•Fortheallowedrangeofoperatingtemperaturesrefertothe“TechnicalParameters”.
•ItisimpossibletooperateEasyRouteon sitesexposedtodirectsolarradiationor
nearheatsources.
•EasyRouteisdesigned forindooruse.Itmaynotbe exposedtorain,flowing water,
condensed moisture, fog,etc.
•EasyRoutemaynotbe exposedtoaggressivegas,acidvapours, solvents, etc.
•EasyRouteisnotdesigned forenvironmentswithhigh vibrationssuchasmeansof
transport, machinerooms, etc.

2.2 ExternalAntenna Connection
Screwtheantenna enclosedintothe SMAantennaconnector.Tightenthe
antennaconnectorgentlywithyourhand-neverusewrenches!
The antennaenclosedhasasufficientgainfortrouble-freeoperationinnormal
conditions.IftheGSMsignalispoororyouwanttoplaceyourantenna separatelyfrom

EasyRoute,youcanuseanantennawithanSMA-connectorterminatedcable(notincluded).
The antennashouldbe mounted vertically.
The Antennashall belocatedwithinthe samebuildingasthemainequipment.
2.3 SIMCardInstallation
Makesurethat theGSMprovider’sSIMcardiscompatiblewiththeGSMnetwork
supported byyourEasyRouteversion.
OpentheSIMcardholderonEasyRoute’sbackside,insertthe SIMcardand
closeit.SelecttherequiredGSMproviderand SIMcardservices,suchascall forwarding,
call barring,preferrednetworks;SMSservicecentre,etc.inyourmobilephonebefore
insertingyourSIMcardinEasyRoute.

2.4 Connector description

Resetbuttontakesplacetothe left of thepowersupplyplugofEasyRoute.When
pressedforshortperiod oftimeitrestartsthe EasyRoute(powerONandOFF),whenheld
downforlongertime(minimum10s)all EasyRoutesettingsareresetandsettodefault
settings(definedfromproducer).
2.6 Telephone line connection
2.6.1 PBXConnection
ConnectEasyRoutetoafreeCOlineof yourPBX.ConfigureyourPBXinsucha
mannerthatGSMoutgoingcallsareroutedtoEasyRoute.
EasyRouteisequipped withthe FSK-based CLIPfunction.IfyourPBXisableto
processthe caller’sID, youareadvised toenablethisfunction.
2.6.2 TelephoneSet(AnsweringMachine,CoinTelephoneStation) Connection
You canconnectastandardtelephone,answering machineoranyotherFXO-
interfaceterminaltoEasyRoute.
EasyRouteisequippedwitthe FSK-based CLIPandsoitisadvantageousto
connectaterminalthatisabletodisplaytheCLIP.
2.7 Power Supply Connection
EasyRouteisfedwith10-16VDC.Whereanothersourcethanthe included
powersupplyadapterisused, the voltage rangeand polarityshownontheEasyRoutepower
supplyconnectorhavetobemaintained.

Donotactivatethe powersupplyuntil theantennaisconnected toEasyRouteto
avoidtheGSM/UMTSmoduledamage.
2.8 PCConnection
You receivedFastEthernetcableforPCconnection.Toenterwebbrowser
programming interfacetype192.168.1.1inwebbrowser’saddress fieldafterconnecting
EasyRoute. Initialusernameissetto“admin”andinitialpasswordissetto“admin”.

SMSmessages,countofdeleted SMSmessagesand full pardofEasyRoute’s
memoryin%.
