1. Product Introduction
1.1 Overview
PC201 Portable Video Recorder (“Portable MDVR” for short) is dedicated for mobile handheld
or ears monitoring products. Apply the embedded platform ith the functions 3G ireless
communication module,WIFI module and GPS module. Built-in battery-po ered , supplement
ith drive-by- ire ,small camera, headset . Uses standard H.264 encoding, support remote control
and local MICRO SD card recording functions, support normal player (VLC, STORM) directly
play the stream.
Portable MDVR series ith the hard are synchronization compression capabilities of the video
and audio signal . Compressed code stream can be transferred through the 3G 、WIFI ireless
net ork hich can support the real-time video and audio previe ,t o- ay voice intercom ,
multi-lingual functions , etc.

1.3.2. Precautions
Before installation, please read this chapter content carefully
When start the installation, be sure to turn off the po er supply of all related equipment
Check the po er supply voltage, to prevent device damage caused by voltage not match ;
Do not use in the excessive moisture or high temperature environment;
Avoid using near strong sources of interference and shielding equipment
This equipment cannot be placed container filled ith liquid
Do not attempt to open or service the battery.
Do not crush, puncture or incinerate batteries;
Do not put the battery into ater or other liquids. Incorrect use ay of batteries can cause
them to overheat, result the battery to "exclude" gas or take the flame. If the battery is
damaged, is found leakage or other abnormality, please stop using it and contact the

manufacturer. If the device is to be laid aside for a long time, please remove the battery to
be stored separately in order to prevent eliminate safety hazards.
Do not use or store the battery fully discharged, it ill shorten the battery’s life
Be sure to turn off the device po er supply and disconnect the charger before removing the
battery.

This device can only be used ith the manufacturers supporting battery, charger and accessories applicable to
specific models of equipment. Use other types of batteries, chargers and accessories may violate approval of

3. Installation and charge Guide
3.1. Unpacking and Inspection of Accessories
Please check the device for deformation or other properties of damage, if the above phenomenon
exists, please stop using it and get in touch ith your suppliers. You can check all accessories of host
according to the packing list in the box.
3.2. SD card/SIM card installation
Attention:
::
:SIM card should be matched with 3G network WCDMA/EVDO.
PVR is installed the 3G module. Open the back panel, and insert the SD card /SIM card slot as the
pictures:

Open the cover of right side, connect the adaptor for recharging. Indicator lamp becomes REd
during the recharging. Recharging full, indicator lamp become Green.

4.1.
Manu structure
User can control all the function of the device through a series of menu operation. This chatter
introduces these menu structure in brief, and the detail description is in the follo ing chapter.

4.2.Use Lo in
If Pass ord valid setting is enable: Press 【M】key after device start, get into Login menu(see the
follo ing figure 10),enter correct user pass ord or manager pass ord to login;
Move cursor to ‘ OK ’ bar, press【M】key to entrance system main menu;
Move cursor to ‘Cancel’ bar: press 【M】key or short press “Host on-off” key to quite Login menu;
If Pass ord valid setting is unable: Press【M】after device start ill get into system main menu
directly;
Remark: reset to defaults, pass ord is 888888; after login, user can vie the system menu and have
permission to modify parameters

Notice: When user pass ord is the same ith manager pass ord, the privilege is manager after
login system.
4.3.Main menu
After login, users can find the main Menu as figure 11. The main menu included: Video
playback、picture browsing、system configuration、system information、manage tool、exit。
Note: The parameter modified process is: move cursor to the item bar which you want to
modified then press 【M】key to entrance; Press the left key or right key to choose then press
【M】 key to confirm the chosen data.

4.4.Video playback
In the main menu press left key or right key to the video playback item bar then press 【M】
key to entrance the video playback search interface(as figure 12):

Attention:
After enter the video search interface, system will automatic search the date which
exist video record on the current month. Cursor can’t move in the calendar watch, the
date bar color in yellow means that day has video record. User can search files of a
day in one time.
Recording type: press left key or right key to choose the searching record type (all video record or alarm
video record).
Date: Press left key or right key to choose date, default is the current day.
Start time: Press left key or right key to choose time, default is 00:00—23:59.
Confirm: Move cursor to “OK” item bar, then press 【M】key to enter the search result interface (As
figure 13).
Cancel: Move cursor to “cancel” item bar, then press 【M】key to exit search interface.

Press left key or right key to choose“First、Prev、Next、Last、Exit”item bar, then
【M】to enter the corresponding interface;
Press left key or right key to choose the required video record, then press 【M】
key to play the chosen video record(for example, choose the 13:00~13:30 video
record),then the play interface as figure 14,then if press left key or right key will
popup playback control tool bar(find in the following figure 14)

Press left key or right key in the interface can choose “Stop、fast forward、fast

reverse、raise voice、lower voice” item bar,select “Exit” item bar in the playback
tool bar and press 【M】key may go back to video search interface.
4.5.Picture browsin
In the main menu, press left key or right key to choose picture browsing item
bar, then press【M】key to enter picture searching interface(as figure 15)

Attention:
After enter the picture search interface, system will automatic search the date
which exist picture record on the current month. Cursor can’t move in the calendar watch,

4.6.System confi uration
In the main menu interface, press left key or right key to choose system
configuration menu, press 【 M 】 key to enter the system configuration interface(as
following figure).System configuration included the following sub menu: basic setting、
recording setting、Snapshot setting、security setting、network setting.

4.6.1 Basic confi uration
Press Left key or right key to choose “Basic” item bar,Press 【M】 key to enter the
basic configuration interface as figure 17.This menu is mainly about the basic information of the system
settings.
Table of contents
