1. Open the VIGIL Decoder Setup Ulity
a. The Decoder Ulity must be installed rst and can be found on 3xLOGIC
website or through a 3xLOGIC Sales Representave
b. Located at VIGIL Server Sengs > Decoder tab or Start Menu > All
Programs > VIGIL > Ulies
2. The Setup Ulity will automacally nd all 3xLOGIC decoders on the same
network that the Server is on.
a. To acvate a new decoder, select it from the list and click the “Acvate”
buon. You will need to congure the decoder login credenals to
acvate the device. If already acvated, ask your network admin for the
credenals as they are required to access and congure the decoder.
b. To change the IP of the decoder, click the “IP Setup” buon and enter the
desired network informaon in the screen.

network. They will be displayed in the le-hand list. Drag and drop cameras
into the panes in which you wish them to reside.
a. Note: For cameras not connected to a Server, you may be prompted to
supply the camera’s username and password.
6. Aer clicking “Finish” you will have the opon to restart the Setup Ulity or
Exit the program.

3. To connue setup, click “Next” and enter the credenals congured during
decoder acvaon. If you do not have the credenals, contact your network
admin.
4. The main camera sengs page will deploy. To begin:
a. Name your decoder. The default name must be changed.
b. Select an output type. Only one output can be acve.
c. Select the resoluon of the monitor.
d. Choose a camera layout from the right-side layout bar.
5. The Setup Ulity will nd all 3xLOGIC Servers and cameras available on your
