8ZED Step Down Transformer / Voltage Converter
Includes extra protection thermal cut-off.
This voltage converter will step down your Australian power output
from 240v to 110V or 120v in order to run your US appliance.
Simply plug this Converter into your Australian Mains Power outlet
in your home or office. Connect your American appliance to the
outlet sockets (taking note which way it plugs in ~ see images to
the right). Switch on the Converter and you are ready to go.
Note: 8ZED range of voltage converters are fitted with heavy duty
steel sockets. The initial use of the plug may take some force to
make its first connection.

If you need a replacement fuse you will need the correct
fuse size and style, below is the reference chart.
*** For high spiking appliances it is possible to substitute the fast blow
fuse for a slow blow fuse.

ADAPTOR PLUG 15A TO 10A (Figure 1)
Transformers capacity 3000W and over are fitted with a 15A Australian
Standard Plug. A 15A-to-10A-Adaptor is provided for your convenience to use
where only a 10A 240V GPO is available and transformer load is below 2800W.
WARNING. The 15A-to-10A Adaptor is only suitable for use where transformer
loads are below 2800W. For loads exceeding 2800W only use Australian Standards

HOW TO REPLACE THE FUSE:
Make sure you have turned off the power at the 240v power point
Untwist the fuse Holder anti-clockwise until the cap comes off (Figure 2)
The fuse “pops out” (glass cylinder)
The filament inside may be broken (some are difficult to see as they may
break at the end)
Place a new fuse into the cup part holder
Twist the fuse holder clockwise until its screwed all the way in
Turn the power on at the 240v power point.You should hear a “Boing” spring
sound as the transformer energizes
