Application
The meter control unit reads a standard Hall Effect water meter output to display flow. The meter control unit can also be
used with industry standard auxiliary air pumps, chemical feeds, or other electro-mechanical products that require
precision measures based on water usage.
Installation
The meter control is available as a companion to the complete line of water solution equipment. Mounting for the In/Out
Head and Connection Manifold are standard with the industry.
Instructions
The display on the meter control unit shows the following values when the corresponding button is pressed (left to right
across the display)
NOTE: WRITE DOWN ALL VALUES BEFORE AND AFTER SETUP. (Record data on Page 7 of this manual)
Flow: Displays current flow rate, gal/min.
Total Flow: Displays total gallons treated since last meter reset, gal.
Peak Flow: Displays peak flow rate since last meter reset, gal/min.
Lights:
Green Power Light: System is plugged in and fully functioning.
Yellow Warning Light: Blinks when system is at 80% of threshold gallons.
Red Expired Light: Blinks when system is at 90% of threshold gallons.
Alarm Beep:
3 beeps every 15 seconds at 100% threshold gallons.
Push any button to silence the beep for two days.
Please refer to the Clear Memory section of this manual to reset meter for new monitoring cycle.
Output 2 connection is powered with 12 V AC at 100% threshold gallons.
Clear Memory (Stops the Beeping):
NOTE: WRITE DOWN ALL VALUES AND DATES BEFORE CLEARING MEMORY FOR FUTURE
REFERENCE. (Record data on Page 7 of this manual)
Clearing the memory will stop the 100% threshold beep and zero out the Total Flow and Peak Flow values.
Press and hold all 3 buttons simultaneously. Screen will display “CLR MEMORY NO”.
Press the “Total Flow”or “Peak Flow” button. Screen will display “CLR MEMORY YES”.
Press the “Flow” button to clear memory.

Press and hold all 3 buttons on the display simultaneously for 3 seconds
Total Flow button: Toggles the values up
Peak Flow button: Toggles the values down
Flow button: Press to advance to next screen
Screen One: CLR MEMORY YES / NO
YES to clear memory of Total Flow and Peak Flow
NO to continue with programming
For initial set up, select NO.
Press the Flow button to advance to next screen
Screen Two: SET PULSES (factory set at 235 for Hall Effect meter)
Set pulses per gallon (PPG) for Hall Effect meter
For initial set up, confirm pulse is set at 235
Press the Flow button to advance to next screen
Screen Three: SET THRESHOLD TOTAL 2 YES/NO
YES to use threshold function
NO to turn off threshold function (this action skips screen four)
Select YES to use threshold function
Press the Flow button to advance to next screen

Screen Four: SET THRESHOLD TOTAL 2 (factory set at 80)
Set this option for the total amount of gallons required to deliver a
service call alert to the customer
Set threshold gallons (x1000)
Recommended setting for 9x48 system is 80; 10x54 system is120
Yellow light blinks at 80% threshold
Red light blinks at 90% threshold
Alarm beeps at 100% threshold
Opt2 connection is powered with 12 VAC at 100% threshold
(30 milliamps (mA) max.)
Press the Flow button to advance to next screen
Screen Five: SET GAL/MIN (no factory setting)
This function is primarily for an external device, i.e. a secondary pump,
chemical feed or auxiliary signal, etc
Set GPM for the 20 mA output flow rate
Zero flow is a fixed 4 mA output
Verify polarity 4-20 mA output at J2 connection
4-20 mA proportional flow rate output
Press the Flow button to advance to next screen
Screen Six: SET GAL 1 (factory set at 20)
This setting fixes the number of gallons before auto pump starts
Set the gallon batch to energize Opt1 connection
Set at 10 gallons
For Air Pump factory setting is 20 gal
Feed Pump setting is 1 gal. for 10 GPM peak flow; 2 gal. for 20 GPM
peak flow; 3 gal. for 30 GPM peak flow; 4 gal. for 40 GPM peak flow
A setting of zero energizes Opt1 like a flow switch, sensitive at .5 GPM
Press the Flow button to advance to next screen
Screen Seven: SET MIN 1
This setting factors the run time duration of the auto air pump or
feed pump after water usage has discontinued (.1 would be 6 seconds.)
Set delay off in minutes for Air Pump - Opt1 connection
Set between 0.1 and 90 minutes.
Air Pump setting is .33min
Feed pump setting is 0.10 min.
Opt1 is 12 VAC (30 mA max.)
Press the Flow button to advance to next screen
