INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on purchasing your 4 x 4 Matrix Switch, the MS400HD, by Asystems!
The MS400HD HDMI Matrix Switcher provides the most exible and cost eective solution in the market to route high
denition video sources plus multi-channel digital audio (up to 7.1-channel) from any of the 4 HDMI sources to the
remote displays at the same time.
The MS400HD oers an easy and intuitive control of routing up to 4 HDMI video sources to any 4 HDMI displays through
the use of front-panel buttons, IR remote, RS-232 control and Ethernet connections, ensuring optimum viewing and
control of high-denition video. This solution is well suited for use in home theaters, education facilities, conferences,
seminars or other similar settings or applications.
With so much to oer, MS400HD Matrix Switcher oers a straightforward, easy and aordable way to route any HDMI
video sources without the cumbersome converters and cables that often trouble the technicians. MS400HD is also the
best companion device that works well with Asystems’ extensive line of video switchers and PTZ cameras to provide the
most streamlined workow and system setup.
Before operating and exploring the capabilities of the MS400HD, it is highly recommended that you carefully read
through Safety Instructions section rst for safe operation while avoiding hazardous situations.

installation.

INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS
Handle carefully!
● Dropping the unit or subjecting it to strong impact or vibration may cause malfunctioning.
Power supply
● Be sure the power plug is firmly connected at all times.
● If the unit is not going to be used for a prolonged period of time, be sure to turn off the power and disconnect
the unit power plug from the AC outlet.
Do not allow any foreign objects to enter inside the unit!
● Allowing water, metal items, scraps of food or other foreign objects inside the unit may cause a fire and/or
electric shocks.
Installation Location
● This unit is designed for indoor use only.
● Install the unit on a sufficiently strong, stable and level surface for use.
● Ensure a space of at least 100 mm (3-15/16˝) around the front vents to avoid obstructing ventilation. In
particular, ensure sufficient space between ventilation and wiring when using mounted in a panel or table.
● Do not install the unit in a manner in which its cables and other accessories can be easily damaged.
● Do not install the unit in a cold place where the temperatures will drop below 0 °C (32 °F) or in a hot place
where the temperatures will rise above +50 °C (122 °F).
● Avoid installing the unit where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or to the hot air that is blown out from other
products.
● Installing the unit in a very humid, dusty or vibration-prone location may damage internal parts and cause
rusting and corroding.
HARDWARE INSTALLATION
1. Connect all displays to HDMI Inputs on the rear panel of MS400HD Matrix Switcher.
2. Connect all sources to HDMI Inputs on the rear panel of MS400HD Matrix Switcher.
3. Connect the +5V 4A DC DC power supply to MS400HD Matrix Switcher.

OPERATING PRECAUTIONS
In addition to heeding the points presented in the “Safety Instructions” and “Installation Precautions”, the following
precautions must be observed as well to guarantee user safety and the longevity of the system.
Handle with extreme care.
- Do not drop the product, or subject it to strong
shock or vibration.
Use the product in an ambient temperature of
0 °C to +50 °C (32 °F to 122 °F).
- Avoid using the product at a cold place below
0 °C (32 °F) or at a hot place above +50 °C
(122 °F). Extremely low or high temperature will
adversely affect the sensitive parts inside the
unit.
Power off before connecting or disconnecting
cables.
- Before plugging or unplugging the cables, be
sure to switch the power off.
Avoid humidity and dust.
- Avoid using the product at a humid, dusty place,
humidity and dust will cause damage to the
parts inside the unit.
Maintenance
- Wipe the product using a dry cloth to remove
stubborn dirt, dip a cloth into a diluted solution
of kitchen detergent (neutral), wring it out well,
and wipe the product gently. Then, after wiping
the product with a moist cloth, wipe it again
- Avoid using benzene, paint thinners and other
volatile fluids.
- If a chemical cleaning cloth is to be used,
carefully read through the precautions for its
use.
When the product is to be discarded
- When the product is to be discarded at the end
of its service life, ask a specialized contractor
to dispose of it properly in order to protect the
environment.
Concerning the consumable parts
- Power supply: This is a consumable part. As
a general rule, replace it every 5 years or so
(when the unit has been operated for 15 hours
a day). The period when the consumable parts
need to be replaced will differ depending on the
operating conditions.
- Be absolutely sure to ask your dealer for
replacement service.

Step 1: Press A(1) / B(2) / C(3) / D(4) in output block to select one of the output port you
are going to control.
Step 2: Press 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 in input block to select input source which you want to be dis-
played on selected output.
Switch to mirrored connection:
Press NTN , then the routing status will be changed to Input 1 - Output A, Input 2 - Output
B, Input 3 - Output C, Input 4 - Output D.
