Equipment:
You will require the following tools to create this device:
A Soldering iron
Wire Cutters
Wire Strippers
Solder
Needle Nose Pliers
We recommend a temperature controllable soldering station and brass sponge for soldering
but this is not mandatory for this assembly guide. Temperature was set to 300°F.
Installation:
Ensure you all the parts that were provided to you in your kit.
Begin the process by taking B1 and soldering the 2N9014
Transistors into their respective PCB Ref number, indicated in
the parts list above.
Cut any excess leads on the back after soldering the
components.
Solder the 10kΩ, 1kΩ, 2.2kΩ Resistor according to PCB
Reference Number and cut the excess leads.
(Note: You can push the transistors to away from the half circle before soldering to make a clean solder work.)
Solder the capacitor with the white
cathode facing towards the stripped lines.
After you have soldered the capacitors in
please cut the excess leads.
Solder the LEDs and ensure the cathode or
the cut side of the LED is facing toward the
top of the tree, this is true for the opposite
side as well.
(Note: You can fold the LEDs until they are tight against the PCB and
solder them in place for visual preferences in symmetry.)
Please cut excess leads using the flush
cutters. Please leave the 37
th
led alone do
not solder yet.

Towards tree top
Anode
Cathode
Solder for the base the push button and dc socket to the base board. Ensure for the Push button
that the trapezoid cut is facing outwards. This ensures the following statement to be correct:
“When the LEDs are pressed it will turn on, when pressed to be released the LEDs will turn off.” If
soldered the other way this logic is reversed.
Insert the bottom battery holder with the leads oriented towards the DC Socket and solder the
connections to the base board. Insert the screws and fasten with the bolt on the opposite side of
the base board.
Slide B2 into B1 and make sure that the two middle arrows are aligned,
pointing outwards.
Place the tree onto the base PCB that meets this specific condition!
From the center two arrows the look below one arrow to see the polarity of
that board.
The arrow must match the arrow on both the tree and base Board.
Solder the Bottom pads with solder to the tree and base board.
On this Section you may solder the pads together in all four
directions to keep the tree together. You can also do this near the
middle line.
As a final step solder the final LED on the top with the anode going
into + and the cathode going into – on b1 only, do not solder the
top together.
Plug the cable in and plug the SUB port into the adapter to turn the Christmas tree on, if you cannot
see anything do not panic press the push button!
