Usage Notice
Precautions
Follow all warnings, precautions and maintenance as recom-
mended in this user’s guide to maximize the life of your unit.
Warning- Do not look into the projector’s lens when the lamp is
on. The bright light may hurt your eyes.
Warning- To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose
this product to rain or moisture.
Warning- Please do not open or disassemble the product as this
may cause electric shock.
Warning- When changing the lamp, please allow unit to cool
down, and follow all changing instructions.
Warning- This product will detect the life of the lamp itself.
Please be sure to change the lamp when it shows warn-
ing messages.
Warning- Reset the “Reset Lamp Hours” function from the On
Screen Display “Lamp Setting” menu after replacing the
lamp module (refer to page 30).
Warning- When switching the projector off, please ensure the
projector completes its cooling cycle before disconnect-
ing power.
Warning- Turn on the projector first and then the signal sources.
Warning- Do not use lens cap when projector is in operation.
Warning- When the lamp reaches the end of its life, it will burn
out and may make a loud popping sound. If this hap-
pens, the projector will not turn back on until the lamp
module has been replaced. To replace the lamp, follow
the procedures listed under “Replacing the Lamp”. (see
page 36)

Usage Notice
Do:
 Turn off the product before cleaning.
 Use a soft cloth moistened with mild detergent to clean the
display housing.
 Disconnect the power plug from AC outlet if the product is not
being used for a long period of time.
Don’t:
 Block the slots and openings on the unit provided for ventila-
tion.
 Use abrasive cleaners, waxes or solvents to clean the unit.
 Use under the following conditions:
- In extremely hot, cold or humid environments.
- In areas susceptible to excessive dust and dirt.
- Near any appliance that generates a strong magnetic field.
- In direct sunlight.

Powering On the Projector
1. Remove the lens cap. 
2. Ensure that the power cord and signal cable are securely
connected. The Power LED will turn red.
3. Turn on the lamp by pressing “Power/Standby” button on
the control panel.And the Power LED will turn green.
4. Turn on your source (computer, notebook, video player,
etc.). The projector will detect your source automatically
within “Management” menu; check that “Source Lock” has
been set to “Off”.
 If the screen displays “No Signal”, please make sure the
signal cables are securely connected.
 You can calling out test image method is under “AV Mute”
button, then press key to select pattern for view and
settle 4 sides, area and focus.
 If you connect multiple sources at the same time, use the
“Source” button on the control panel or direct source key on
remote control to switch.

Warning Indicator
When the “TEMP” indicator turns red, it indicates the pro-
jector has overheated. The projector will automatically shut
itself down.
When the “LAMP” indicator turns red, it indicates a prob-
lem with the lamp. Turn off the projector and disconnect the
power cord from the electrical outlet, then contact your local
dealer or our service center.
When the “LAMP” indicator flashes red, it indicates the
fan has failed. Stop using the projector and disconnect the
power cord from the electrical outlet, then contact your local
dealer or our service center.
Powering Off the Projector
1. Press the “Power/Standby” button to turn off the projector
lamp; you will see a message
displayed on the projector’s screen. Press the “Power/Stand-
by” button again to confirm, otherwise the message will
disappear after 5 seconds.
2. The cooling fans continue to operate for about 30 seconds for
cooling cycle and the Power LED will flash red. When the
Power LED stops flashing, the projector has entered standby
mode.
Once in standby mode, simply press “Power/Standby” but-
ton to restart the projector.
3. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and the
projector.
4. Do not turn on the projector immediately following a power
off procedure.

Elevator Button
The projector is equipped with elevator foot for adjusting the
image height.
To raise the image:
1. Press the elevator button .
2. Raise the image to the desired height angle , then release
the button to lock the elevator foot into position.
3. Use screw in feet to fine-tune the display angle.
To lower the image:
1. Press the elevator button.
2. Lower the image, then release the button to lock the eleva-
tor foot into position.
3. Use screw in feet to fine-tune the display angle.

Zoom Lever
Adjusting the Projector Zoom / Focus
You may turn the zoom lever to zoom in or out. To focus
the image, rotate the focus ring until the image is clear. The
projector will focus at distances from 3.9 to 39.4 feet (1.2 to
12.0 meters).

Control Panel & Remote Control
There are two ways for you to control the functions: Remote
Control and Control Panel.
Using the Control Panel
Power/Stand-
by
Refer to the “Power On/Off the Projector” section
on pages 12-13.
Source Press “Source” to select an input signal.
Menu Turns the menu On or Off.
Four Direc-
tional Select
Keys
Use to navigate through the menus.
Enter Confirm your item selection.
Keystone Adjusts image distortion caused by tilting the
projector (±16 degrees).
Re-Sync Automatically synchronizes the projector to the
input source.

Using the Remote Control

Laser But-
ton
Aim the remote at the viewing screen, press and
hold this button to activate the laser pointer.
AV Mute Momentarily turns off the audio and video. Press
this button again to unlock.
Volume +/- Increases/decreases speaker volume.
Freeze Press “Freeze” to pause the screen image. Press
this button again to unlock.
Display Mode Select the display mode from PC, Photo, Movie,
sRGB and User.
Wide Fix to 16:9 screen.
Zoom In Zoom in to magnify the image.
Zoom Out Zoom out to reduce the image.

Keys
Use to navigate through the menus.
Menu Display or exits the on-screen display menus for
projector.
Clear Clear your selection.
Enter Confirm your item selection.
Source Lock Select auto detection all connector ports or lock
current connector port. (See page 27 for more)

S-Video Choose S-Video source.
VGA1 Choose primary VGA-In or SCART source.
VGA2 Choose secondary VGA-In source.

User Controls
The Projector has multilingual On Screen Display menus that
allow you to make image adjustments and change a variety of
settings. The projector will automatically detect the source.
How to Operate
1. To open the OSD menu, press “Menu” on the Remote Control or
Control Panel.
2. When OSD is displayed, use keys to select any item in the
main menu. While making a selection on a particular page, press
key to enter sub menu.
3. Use keys to select the desired item and adjust the settings
by key.
4. Select the next item to be adjusted in the sub menu and adjust as
described above.
5. Press “Menu” to confirm, and the screen will return to the main
menu.
6. To exit, press “Menu” again. The OSD menu will close and the
projector will automatically save the new settings.

Display Mode
There are many factory presets optimized for various types of im-
ages.
4PC: For computer or notebook. (brightest image)
4Photo: For optimum colour at high brightness.
4Movie: For home theater.
4sRGB: For standard PC colour. (best colour reproduction)
4User: Memorize user’s settings.
Brightness
Adjust the brightness of the image.
4Press the to darken image.
4Press the to lighten the image.
Contrast
The contrast controls the degree of difference between the lightest
and darkest parts of the picture. Adjusting the contrast changes the
amount of black and white in the image.
4Press the to decrease the contrast.
4Press the to increase the contrast.
White Intensity
Use the white peaking control to set the white peaking level of
DMD chip. 0 stands for minimal peaking, and 10 stands for maxi-
mum peaking. If you prefer a brighter image, adjust towards the
maximum setting. For a smooth and more natural image, adjust
towards the minimum setting.
