How to Use the Heart Rate Monitor

Thank you for purchasing the new AccuRate™ heart rate

monitor. Before using the heart rate monitor, please read and

follow all instructions in this user’s guide.

If you have questions after reading this user’s guide,

please contact our customer service department. In the

USA, call 1-800-999-3756. Outside of the USA, call the

telephone number on the front of the User’s Manual in-

cluded with your exercise equipment, or contact the es-

tablishment where you purchased the heart rate monitor.

HOW TO INSTALL THE RECEIVER

Before the heart rate monitor can be used, the included

receiver must be installed in your exercise equipment.

To install the receiver, refer to the instructions in the

User’s Manual included with your exercise equipment.

HOW TO PUT ON THE HEART RATE MONITOR

1. See the drawings below. The heart rate monitor consists

of two components—the chest strap and the sensor unit.

Insert the tab on one end of the chest strap through the

hole in one end of the sensor unit, as shown in the inset

drawing. Next, press the end of the sensor unit under the

buckle on the chest strap.

2. Wrap the heart rate monitor around your chest. Attach the

other end of the chest strap to the sensor unit as de-

scribed above. Adjust the length of the chest strap, if nec-

essary. The heart rate monitor should be under your

clothing, touching your skin, and as high under the pec-

toral muscles or breasts as is comfortable. Make sure that

the logo on the heart rate monitor is facing away from you

and is right-side-up.

3. Pull the sensor unit

away from your body a

few inches and locate

the two electrode areas

on the surface facing

your chest. Using a

saline solution such as

saliva or contact lens

solution, wet the elec-

trode areas. Then, return the sensor unit to a position

against your chest.

HEART RATE MONITOR CARE

• Thoroughly dry the heart rate monitor after each use. The

heart rate monitor is activated when the electrode areas

are wetted and the heart rate monitor is put on; the heart

rate monitor shuts off when it is removed and the elec-

trode areas are dried. If the heart rate monitor is not dried

after each use, it may remain activated longer than neces-

sary, draining the battery prematurely.

•Store the heart rate monitor in a warm, dry place. Do not

store the heart rate monitor in a plastic bag or other con-

tainer that may trap moisture.

•Do not expose the heart rate monitor to direct sunlight for

extended periods of time. Do not expose the heart rate

monitor to temperatures above 122° F (50° C) or below

14° F (-10° C).

•Do not excessively bend or stretch the sensor unit when

using or storing the heart rate monitor.

•Clean the sensor unit using a damp cloth—never use al-

cohol, abrasives, or chemicals. The chest strap may be

hand washed and air dried.

WARNING:Before using this product or

beginning any exercise program, consult your

physician. This is especially important if you are

over the age of 35, if you have pre-existing health

problems, if you have an implanted medical de-

vice such as a pacemaker, or if you are taking

medication regularly. If you have heart problems,

or if you are over the age of 60 and have been in-

active, do not use pulse-driven programs. ICON

assumes no responsibility for personal injury or

property damage sustained by or through the use

of this product.

HEART RATE MONITOR TROUBLESHOOTING

If the heart rate monitor does not function properly, try the

troubleshooting steps below.

•Make sure that you are wearing the heart rate monitor ex-

actly as described on the previous page. If the heart rate

monitor does not function when positioned as described,

try moving it slightly lower or higher on your chest.

• Each time you use the heart rate monitor, use saline solu-

tion such as saliva or contact lens solution to wet the two

electrode areas on the sensor unit.

• If you are exercising on a treadmill, make sure that you are

near the center of the walking belt, within arm’s length of

the console.

• The heart rate monitor is designed to work with people

who have normal heart rhythms. Heart rate reading prob-

lems may be caused by medical conditions such as pre-

mature ventricular contractions (pvcs), tachycardia bursts,

and arrhythmia.

• The operation of the heart rate monitor can be affected by

magnetic interference caused by high power lines or other

sources. If you suspect that magnetic interference may be

causing a problem, try relocating your exercise equipment.

• Test the heart rate

monitor in the follow-

ing way. Place your

thumbs on the elec-

trode areas as shown,

and hold the heart

rate monitor near the

console on your exer-

cise equipment. Next,

hold one thumb stationary and begin tapping your other

thumb against the electrode area at a rate of about one tap

per second. Check for a heart rate reading on the console.

•If the heart rate mon-

itor still does not

function properly, lo-

cate the battery

cover on the back of

the sensor unit.

Insert the edge of a

coin into the slot in

the cover, turn the

cover counterclock-

wise, and remove

the cover. Next, re-

move the old battery

and insert a new CR 2032 battery. Make sure that the

battery is oriented so the writing is facing away from

the sensor unit. Then, reattach the battery cover and turn

itclockwise.

•Make sure that you have properly installed the included re-

ceiver in your exercise equipment.

LIMITED WARRANTY

ICON Health & Fitness, Inc. (ICON), warrants this product to

be free from defects in workmanship and material, under nor-

mal use and service conditions, for a period of two (2) years

from the date of purchase. This warranty extends only to the

original purchaser. ICON's obligation under this warranty is

limited to replacing or repairing, at ICON's option, the product

through one of its authorized service centers. All repairs for

which warranty claims are made must be pre-authorized by

ICON. This warranty does not extend to any damage caused

by or attributable to freight damage, abuse, misuse, improper

or abnormal usage or care, or repairs not provided through

an ICON authorized service center; products used for com-

mercial or rental purposes; or products used as store display

models. No other warranty beyond that specifically set forth

above is authorized by ICON.

sequential damages arising out of or in connection with the

use or performance of the product; damages with respect to

any economic loss, loss of property, loss of revenues or prof-

INSTALLATION DES EMPFÄNGERS

WIE MAN DEN BRUSTPULSSENSOR ANZIEHT

1. Siehe Zeichnung unten. Der Pulsmesser besteht aus zwei

Teilen: dem Brustriemen und der Sensoreinheit. Führen

Sie die Lasche an einem Ende des Brustriemens in ein

Ende der Sensoreinheit ein, wie in der Nebenzeichnung

gezeigt. Die Lasche sollte in gleicher Ebene sein mit mit

der Vorderseite der Sensoreinheit.

2. Als nächstes wickeln Sie den Pulsmesser um Ihre Brust

und befestigen Sie das andere Ende des Brustriemens an

der Sensoreinheit. Verändern Sie die Länge des

Riemens, falls es nötig sein sollte. Der Pulsmesser sollte

unter Ihrer Kleidung an der Haut, so nah wie möglich

unter dem Brustmuskel bzw. dem Busen getragen wer-

den, aber nur so nah, so dass es immer noch bequem ist.

Achten Sie darauf, dass das Logo der Sensoreinheit nach

außen weist und richtig herum ist.

3. Ziehen Sie die Sensor-

einheit ein paar

Zentimeter von Ihrer

Brust weg und finden

Sie die zwei Elektro-

denflächen an der

Innenseite. Die Elektro-

denflächen sind mit

kleinen Rillen

gekennzeichnet. Befeuchten Sie beide Elektrodenflächen,

indem Sie Salzlösung oder Kontaktlinsenlösung be-

nutzen. Befestigen Sie die Sensoreinheit wieder an Ihre

Brust.

PULSMESSER-PFLEGE

• Trocknen Sie den Pulsmesser nach jedem Gebrauch

gründlich ab. Der Pulsmesser wird aktiviert, wenn die

Elektrodenflächen befeuchtet werden und der Pulsmesser

angezogen wird. Der Pulsmesser schaltet sich ab, wenn er

ausgezogen wird und die Elektrodenflächen getrocknet

sind. Wenn der Pulsmesser nicht abgetrocknet wird, dann

bleibt er länger an und die Batterie wird schneller ausgelöst.

• Verwahren Sie den Pulsmesser an einem warmen, trocke-

nen Ort. Verwahren Sie den Pulsmesser keinesfalls in

einer Plastiktüte oder einem Behälter, der Feuchtigkeit

speichern könnte.

• Setzen Sie den Pulsmesser nicht für längere Zeit direktem

Sonnenlicht aus. Setzen Sie ihn auch nicht Temperaturen

über 50° Celsius oder unter -10° Celsius aus.

•Biegen oder dehnen Sie die Sensoreinheit nicht übermä-

ßig, wenn sie den Pulsmesser benutzen oder verwahren.

•Säubern Sie die Sensoreinheit mit einem feuchten

Tuchbenutzen Sie niemals Alkohol, Schleifmittel oder

Chemikalien. Der Brustriemen kann mit der Hand gewa-

schen und luftgetrocknet werden.

WARNUNG: Wenn Sie ein medizinis-

ches Implantat wie einen Herzschrittmacher

haben, fragen Sie Ihren Arzt, bevor Sie den

Pulsmesser benutzen. Wenn Sie Herzprobleme

haben oder über 60 Jahre alt und untrainiert sind,

verwenden Sie keine pulsgetriebenen Programme.

Wenn Sie regelmäßig Medikamente einnehmen,

fragen Sie Ihren Arzt, ob diese Medikamente Ihren

Trainingspuls beeinflussen können.

PULSMESSER-FEHLERSUCHE

Falls der Pulsmesser nicht korrekt funktioniert, befolgen Sie

die unten beschreibenen Anweisungen.

•Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie den Pulsmesser genau so tra-

gen, wie auf der vorherigen Seite beschrieben wurde.

Wenn der Pulsmesser nicht funktioniert, wenn wie

beschrieben getragen, dann befestigen Sie ihn etwas

höher oder tiefer an Ihrer Brust.

• Jedes Mal, wenn Sie den Pulsmesser benutzen, benutzen

Sie eine Salzlösung oder Kontaktlinsenlösung, um die

zwei Elektrodenflächen der Sensoreinheit zu befeuchten.

• Wenn Sie auf einem Lauftrainer trainieren, müssen Sie

•Prüfen Sie den

Opmerking: De goede werking van dit apparaat is onderhe-

HOE DE ONTVANGER TE INSTALLEREN

Voordat u uw borstkas-sensor gebruikt, moet u de bij-

geleverde ontvanger in het oefenapparaat installeren.

Om de ontvanger te installeren, raadpleeg de instructies

in de Gebruiksaanwijzing die bij uw apparaat wordt

geleverd.

HOE DE BORSTKAS-SENSOR TE DRAGEN

1. Zie de tekening hieronder. De borstkas-sensor bestaat uit

twee delen: de borstkas-band en de sensor. Steek de flap

van de borstkas-band in het ene uiteinde van de sensor.

Druk het uiteinde van de sensor onder de gesp van de

borstkas-band.

2. Doe vervolgens de borstkas-sensor om uw borstkas en

maak het andere eind van de borstkas-band vast aan de

sensor. Mocht het nodig zijn, stel dan de lengte van de

band bij. De borstkas-sensor moet onder uw kleding

gedragen worden, strak tegen uw huid en hoog onder uw

borstspieren of borsten. Zorg ervoor dat het logo van de

sensor naar voren wijst en rechtop staat.

3. Trek de sensor een

paar centimeter van uw

lichaam en zoek naar

de twee electrodes aan

debinnenkant. Maak

beide electrodes nat

met een zoute vloeistof

zoals wat spug of

vloeistof voor contact

lenzen. Plaats de sensor terug tegen uw huid.

VERZORGING VAN DE BORSTKAS-SENSOR

• Droog de borstkas-sensor goed na ieder gebruik. De

borstkas-sensor wordt ingeschakeld wanneer u de electro-

des nat maakt en de pols-sensor draagt. De borstkas-sen-

sor gaat uit wanneer het wordt afgedaan en de electrodes

gedroogd worden. De sensor blijft langer dan nodig bran-

den en zodoende zullen de batterijen leeg lopen als de

borstkas-sensor electrodes niet goed gedroogd worden.

•Bewaar de borstkas-sensor op een warme en droge

plaats. Bewaar de borstkas-sensor niet in een plastic zak

of enig andere verpakking die vocht kan vasthouden.

•Stel de borstkas-sensor niet lang bloot aan direct zonlicht,

niet aan een temperatuur lager dan -10 C of aan een tem-

peratuur hoger dan 50 C.

•Buig en rek de sensor tijdens het gebruik of het opbergen

van de borstkas-sensor niet te veel.

•Gebruik nooit schuurmiddelen, alcohol of chemische pro-

ducten. U kunt de borstkas-band met de hand wassen en

dan laten drogen.

WAARSCHUWING: Als bij u een

medisch apparaat zoals een pacemaker werd

geïmplanteerd, raadpleeg uw arts voordat u de

hartslag-sensor gebruikt. Als u hartproblemen

hebt of als u ouder dan 60 bent en niet actief

bezig bent, gebruik dan geen programma’s met de

hartslag-sensor. Als u regelmatig medicijnen

neemt, raadpleeg uw arts over de invloed van de

medicijnen op uw hartslagfrequentie bij uw oe-

feningen.

PROBLEMEN MET DE HARTSLAG-SENSOR OPLOSSEN

Loop de hieronder genoemde procedures door wanneer de

hartslag-sensor niet goed werkt.

•Zorg ervoor dat u de hartslag-sensor draagt volgens de

instructies op de vorige pagina. Verplaats de sensor wat

naar boven of naar beneden wanneer de hartslag-sensor

niet goed werkt.

• Met elk gebruik van de hartslag-sensor, gebruik wat zoute

vloeistof zoals spug of vloeistof voor contact lenzen om

de electrodes van de sensor nat te maken.

• Als u een loopband gebruikt, zorg ervoor dat u dicht bij het

centrum van de band loopt, op een armlengte van het be-

dieningspaneel.

• De hartslag-sensor is ontwikkeld voor mensen met een

normale hartslag. Problemen met de hartslagmeting kun-

nen een medische oorzaak hebben zoals vroegtijdige

ventriculaire samentrekking, hartkloppingen, of aritmie.

• De werking van de hartslag-sensor kan beïnvloed worden

door magnetische storingen veroorzaakt door hoogspan-

ningsdraden en andere electromagnetische bronnen. Als

udenkt dat het apparaat door magnetische interferentie

wordt gestoord, verplaats dan het oefentoestel.

• Test de borstkassen-

sor op de volgende

manier. Plaats uw

duimen op de opper-

vlakte waar de elec-

trode zit zoals

aangegeven en houdt

vervolgens de

borstkassensor bij het

bedieningspaneel. Houdt een van uw duimen op de opper-

vlakte terwijl u met uw andere duim met een ritme van

ongeveer een slag per seconde op de electrode klopt.

Controleer de hartslag meting op het bedieningspaneel.

• Als de hartslag-sen-

sor niet goed werkt,

controleer dan het

batterijdeksel aan

de achterkant van

de sensor. Steek

een muntje in de

gleuf van de deksel.

Draai de deksel

tegen de klok in en

verwijder de deksel

Haal vervolgens de

batterij uit de sen-

sor. Plaats er een

nieuwe CR2032 batterij in met het opschrift naar

boven. Maak de deksel weer vast en draai de deksel met

de klok mee om deze te sluiten.

•Zorg ervoor dat de bijgeleverde ontvanger goed in het oe-

fentoestel geïnstalleerd is.

van materiaal- en konstruktiefouten en verleent hierop, mits

het produkt op normale wijze wordt gebruikt en onder-

Icon is niet aansprakelijk voor eventuele indirekte, speciale

of consequente schade veroorzaakt door of als een gevolg

van het gebruik of de prestaties van het produkt, daarbij in-

begrepen eventueel economisch verlies of verlies van eigen-

dom, van winst of profijt, gebruik of vruchtgebruik, verwijder-

COMMENT INSTALLER LE RÉCEPTEUR

Avant que le détecteur cardiaque ne puisse être utilisé,

le récepteur joint avec celui-ci doit être installé dans

votre appareil d’exercice. Pour installer le récepteur,

référez-vous aux instructions contenues dans le Manuel

de l’Utilisateur accompagnant votre appareil d’exercice.

COMMENT PORTER LE MONITEUR CARDIAQUE DU

TORSE

1. Voir le dessin ci-dessous. Le détecteur cardiaque comporte

deux éléments : la sangle et le détecteur cardiaque.

Enfoncez la languette sur une des extrémités de la sangle

du torse dans le trou sur une des extrémités de l’unité du

détecteur, comme illustré dans le schéma en encadré.

Ensuite, appuyez l’extrémité de l’unité du détecteur sous

la boucle sur la sangle du torse.

2. Ensuite, placez le détecteur cardiaque autour de votre ab-

domen, juste sous votre poitrine, et attachez l’autre ex-

trémité de la sangle au détecteur cardiaque. Ajustez la

longueur de la sangle si cela est nécessaire. Le détecteur

cardiaque devrait être placé sous vos vêtements, touchant

votre peau, et aussi haut que possible sous vos muscles

pectoraux ou votre poitrine tout en étant confortable.

Assurez-vous que le logo est placé à l’endroit.

3. Soulevez le détecteur

cardiaque de votre

peau de quelques

pouces et localisez les

deux surfaces des

électrodes sur l’in-

térieur du détecteur

cardiaque. A l’aide de

solution saline tel que

de la salive ou de la solution pour lentilles de contact,

mouillez les deux surfaces des électrodes. Replacez le

détecteur cardiaque sur votre peau.

NETTOYAGE DU DÉTECTEUR CARDIAQUE

• Séchez complètement le moniteur après chaque utilisa-

tion. Le moniteur est activé quand les électrodes sont

mouillées et que le moniteur est porté ; le moniteur

s’éteint quand il est n’est pas porté et que les électrodes

sont sèches. Si le moniteur n’est pas séché après chaque

utilisation, il restera allumé même s’il n’est pas utilisé, util-

isant ainsi les piles.

•Rangez le détecteur cardiaque dans un endroit tiède et

sec. Ne mettez pas le détecteur dans un sac en plastique

ou tout autre récipient qui retient l’humidité.

•N’exposez pas le détecteur cardiaque aux rayons directs

du soleil pendant des longues périodes de temps ; ne l’ex-

posez pas non plus à des températures au-dessus de 50°

Cou au-dessous de -10°C.

•Ne pliez ni n’étirez pas le détecteur quand vous le rangez.

• Nettoyez l’unité du détecteur avec un chiffon humide—

n’utilisez jamais de l’alcool, des nettoyants abrasifs ou

chimiques. La sangle du torse peut être lavée à la main et

séchée à l’air.

ATTENTION : Si vous possédez un dis-

positif médical implanté, tel qu’un stimulateur car-

diaque, vérifiez d’abord avec votre médecin si

vous pouvez utiliser le détecteur cardiaque. Si

vous avez des problèmes cardiaques ou si vous

êtes âgé(e)s de plus de 60 ans et n’avez pas fait

de sport depuis quelques temps, n’utilisez pas les

programmes de rythme cardiaqe. Si vous prenez

régulièrement des médicaments, consultez votre

médecin pour savoir si ces derniers ne vont pas

affecter votre rythme cardiaqe lors de votre en-

traînement.

PROBLEMES AVEC LE DÉTECTEUR CARDIAQUE

Si le détecteur cardiaque affichée est excessivement élevée

ou basse, suivez les étapes ci-dessous.

• Veillez à porter le détecteur cardiaque exactement comme

il est indiqué sur la page précédente. Si le détecteur ne

fonctionne pas quand il est dans la position décrite, es-

sayez de le placer plus haut ou plus bas sur votre ab-

domen.

• Chaque fois que vous utilisez le détecteur cardiaque,

mouillez les deux surfaces des électrodes à l’aide de solution

saline tel que de la salive ou de la solution pour lentilles de

contact.

• Si vous pratiquez vos exercices sur un tapis roulant,

veillez à être proche du centre de la courroie mobile, à une

longueur de bras de la console.

• Le détecteur cardiaque est conçu pour fonctionner sur des

personnes qui ont un rythme cardiaque normal. Les prob-

lèmes de lecture du rythme cardiaque peuvent être causés

par certaines pathologies telles que les extrasystoles ven-

triculaires, les accès de tachycardie, ou par l’arythmie.

• Le fonctionnement du détecteur cardiaque peut être af-

fecté par des interférences magnétiques causées par des

lignes à hautes tensions ou par d’autres sources. Si vous

suspectez qu’une interférence magnétique peut être la

cause d’un problème, essayez de repositionner votre

équipement d'exercice.

• Essayez le détecteur

cardiaque de la

manière suivante.

Alors que vous tenez un de vos pouces immobiles, com-

mencez à tapoter contre la surface de l’électrode avec

l’autre pouce, d’environ une pression par seconde. Vérifiez

la lecture du rythme cardiaque sur la console.

•Si le détecteur car-

diaque ne fonctionne

toujours pas cor-

rectement, localisez

le couvercle des

piles situé à l’arrière

de l’unité de détec-

tion. Insérer une

pièce de monnaie

dans l'entaille se

trouvant dans le cou-

vercle, tournez le

couvercle dans le

sens inverse des

aiguilles d'une montre, puis enlevez le couvercle. Enlevez

la pile usée et insérez une nouvelle pile CR 2032.

Assurez-vous que la pile est positionnée de façon à ce

que les informations se trouvent sur le haut. Replacez

le couvercle de la pile et tournez-le dans le sens des aigu-

illes d'une montre pour le refermer.

• Assurez-vous que vous avez installé correctement le ré-

cepteur accompagnant votre appareil d’exercice.

ICON Health & Fitness, Inc. (ICON) garantit ses produits

contre les vices cachés (pièces et main d’œuvre) dans les

INSTALLAZIONE DEL RICEVITORE

Prima di poter utilizzare il cardiofrequenzimetro, dovrà

essere installato il ricevitore in dotazione con le attrezza-

ture ginniche. Per installare il ricevitore, fare riferimento

alle istruzioni riportate nel Manuale istruzioni in

dotazione con le attrezzature ginniche.

COME INDOSSARE IL CARDIOFREQUENZIMETRO

1. Vedere il disegno sottostante. Il cardiofrequenzimetro con-

siste di due parti: la fascia torace e l’unità sensore. Inserire

la linguetta di una estremità della fascia torace attraverso il

foro nell’unità sensore come mostrato nel disegno. Inserire

l’estremità dell’unità sensore sotto la fibbia sulla fascia

torace.

2. Dopo, avvolgere il cardiofrequenzimetro intorno al torace

ed attaccare l’altra estremità della fascia torace all’unità

sensore. Regolare la lunghezza della fascia torace, se

necessario. Il cardiofrequenzimetro dovrebbe essere in-

dossato sotto i vestiti, a contatto con la pelle, e posizion-

ato tanto in alto quanto più vi è comodo sotto i muscoli

pettorali o sotto i seni. Controllare che il marchio sull’unità

sensore sia rivolto in avanti con la parte destra in alto.

3. Allontanare l’unità sen-

sore di pochi centimetri

dal vostro corpo e col-

locare le due aree elet-

trodi sul lato interno.

Usando una soluzione

salata come la saliva o

una soluzione per lenti

acontatto, bagnare en-

trambe le aree elettrodo. Rimettere l’unità sensore a con-

tatto con la pelle contro il torace.

CURA DEL CARDIOFREQUENZIMETRO

•Asciugare completamente il cardiofrequenzimetro dopo

ogni uso. Il cardiofrequenzimetro viene attivato quando le

aree elettrodi sono bagnate ed il monitore viene indossato;

il cardiofrequenzimetro si spegne quando viene rimosso e le

aree elettrodi sono asciutte. Se il cardiofrequenzimetro non

èasciutto dopo ogni uso, potrebbe rimanere attivato più a

lungo del necessario, consumando le pile prematuramente.

•Conservare il cardiofrequenzimetro in un luogo asciutto e

caldo. Non conservare il monitore in una busta di plastica

oin altri contenitori che potrebbero contenere umidità.

• Non esporre il cardiofrequenzimetro a luce diretta del sole

per un lungo periodo di tempo; non esporlo a temperature al

di sopra di 50° C o al di sotto di -10° C.

•Non piegare o tirare in modo eccessivo l’unità sensore

quando viene usata o conservata.

•Pulire l’unità sensore usando un panno umido—non usare

mai alcool, prodotti abrasivi, o chimici. La fascia torace

può essere lavata a mano.

AVVERTENZA: Qualora l'utente sia

portatore di impianti di dispositivi quali pace-

maker, verificare con il medico curante prima di

utilizzare il cardiofrequenzimetro. Utenti con prob-

lemi cardiaci oppure oltre i 60 anni di età e inattivi

dovranno astenersi dall’uso dei programmi a pul-

sazioni. Coloro che assumono farmaci regolar-

mente, dovranno consultare il proprio medico per

verificare se i farmaci influiscono sulla frequenza

cardiaca durante l’esercizio.

LOCALIZZAZIONE DEI GUASTI DEL CARDIOFREQUENZ-

IMETRO

Seil cardiofrequenzimetro non funzionasse appropriata-

mente, provare la fasi sottostanti.

• Accertare di avere indossato il monitor frequenza cardiaca

esattamente in base a quanto descritto nella pagina

precedente. Se il cardiofrequenzimetro non funziona dopo

averlo posizionato come descritto sopra, provate a

muoverlo leggermente più in alto o più in basso sul vostro

torace.

• Ogni volta che utilizzate il cardiofrequenzimetro del torace,

usare una soluzione salata come la saliva o una soluzione

per lenti a contatto per bagnare le due aree elettrodi

sull’unità sensore.

• Qualora si stia utilizzando un tapis roulant, accertare di es-

sere posizionati verso il centro del nastro scorrevole, a

una distanza raggiungibile dalla consolle.

• Il cardiofrequenzimetro è stato progettato per funzionare

con persone che hanno normali ritmi di frequenza car-

diaca. Problemi di lettura della frequenza cardiaca potreb-

bero essere causati da condizioni medicine come prema-

ture contrazioni ventricolari (pvcs), esplosioni di tachicar-

dia, ed aritmia.

• Il funzionamento del cardiofrequenzimetro può essere in-

fluenzato da interferenze magnetiche causate da linee di

alta tensione o altre sorgenti. Qualora si sospetti un’inter-

ferenza magnetica, provare a riposizionare l’attrezzatura

ginnica.

• Sottoporre il car-

diofrequenzimetro al

seguente esame.

Posizionare i vostri

pollici sulle aree degli

elettrodi come

mostrato e tenere il

cardiofrequenzimetro

del torace vicino alla

consolle. Mentre tenete fermo un pollice, iniziate a picchi-

ettare l’altro pollice contro l’area dell’elettrodo a una veloc-

ità di circa un battito al secondo. Controllare la lettura della

frequenza cardiaca sulla consolle.

terie sul retro

Rimuovere il batterie vecchio e inserire un batterie nuovo

del tipo CR 2032. Assicurarsi che il batterie sia girato

in modo tale che la scritta sia sul lato superiore.

Riposizionare il coperchio batterie e girarlo in senso orario

per chiuderlo.

• Accertare di avere opportunamente installato il ricevitore

indotazione con l’attrezzatura ginnica acquistata.

zionalità del prodotto venduto e l’assenza in esso di vizi e

difetti sia nella fabbricazione che nei materiali che lo com-

pongono, in condizioni di normale utilizzo e manutenzione;

tale garanzia si protrae per un periodo di 24 mesi decorrenti

dalla data effettiva di acquisto comprovata da scontrino fis-

cale o da fattura e/o comunque da documento attestante la

Como Usar el Sensor de Pulso

Antes de usar el monitor cardiaco, por favor lea y siga todas

COMO INSTALAR EL RECEPTOR

COMO PONERSE EL SENSOR DE PULSO

1. Vea el dibujo de abajo. El sensor de pulso consiste de dos

componentes: el tirante para el pecho y la unidad del

sensor. Inserte la lengüeta en un extremo del tirante para el

pecho dentro de un extremo de la unidad del sensor, como

se muestra en el dibujo del recuadro. Presione el extremo

de la unidad del sensor debajo de la hebilla del tirante para

el pecho. La lengüeta debe estar nivelada con el frente de

la unidad del sensor.

2. A continuación, envuelva el sensor de pulso alrededor de su

pecho y junte el otro extremo del tirante para el pecho a la

unidad del sensor. Ajuste lo largo del tirante para el pecho,

si es necesario. El sensor de pulso para el pecho debe

estar debajo de su ropa, apretado contra su piel, y lo más

alto posible debajo de sus músculos pectorales o su pecho,

CUIDADO DEL SENSOR DE PULSO

• Seque completamente el sensor de pulso después de

cada uso. El sensor de pulso se activa cuando las áreas

electrónicas se mojan y se pone el sensor de pulso; el

sensor de pulso para el pecho se apaga cuando se quita y

las áreas electrónicas se secan. Si el sensor de pulso no

se seca después de cada uso, puede permanecer acti-

vado por más tiempo de lo necesario, agotando las bate-

rías prematuramente.

• Guarde el sensor de pulso en un lugar tibio y seco. No

guarde el sensor de pulso en una bolsa plástica o en nin-

gún otro lugar que pueda guardar humedad.

• No exponga el sensor de pulso a los rayos directos del sol

por períodos de tiempo extendidos; no lo exponga a tempe-

raturas arriba de 50° C o bajo -10° C.

• No doble o estire excesivamente el sensor hasta que use

oguarde el sensor de pulso.

•Limpie la unidad del sensor usando un trapo húmedo—nunca

use alcohol, abrasivos, o químicos. El tirante para el pecho se

puede lavar a mano y secar al aire libre.

ADVERTENCIA: Si es que tiene

algún equipo médico implantado como un marca-

pasos, verifique esto con su doctor antes de usar

el monitor cardiaco. Si es que tienes problemas

cardiacos, o si es que tiene más de 60 años de

edad y ha estado inactivo, no use programas

guiados por su pulso. Si es que está tomando

medicamento en forma regular, consulte con su

doctor para saber si es que la medicina afectaría

su ritmo cardiaco.

PROBLEMAS CON EL SENSOR DE PULSO

Si el ritmo cardíaco que se muestra es excesivamente alto o

bajo, trate los pasos de abajo.

•Verifique que esté usando el sensor de pulso exactamente

como se describe en la página anterior. Si el sensor de

pulso no funciona cuando se coloca como se describe, trate

de moverlo un poco más abajo o más arriba en su pecho.

• Cada vez que usted use el sensor de pulso, use solución

salina como saliva o solución de lentes de contacto para

mojar las dos áreas electrónicas en la unidad del sensor.

• Si es que está haciendo ejercicios en una maquina para

correr, verifique que esta cerca del centro de la banda

para caminar, al alcance de sus brazos de la consola.

• El sensor de pulso está diseñado para trabajar con per-

sonas que tienen ritmos del corazón normales. Problemas

con la lectura del ritmo cardíaco pueden ser causados por

condiciones médicas como contracciones ventricales

pvcs, revientos de la Taquicardia, y arritmia.

•La operación del sensor de pulso para el pecho se puede

afectar por interferencias causadas por líneas de alta corri-

ente u otras fuentes. Si es que sospecha que algún tipo de

interferencia magnética esta causando problemas, trate de

reubicar su equipo de ejercicios.

• Pruebe el sensor de

pulso de la siguiente

manera. Coloque sus

pulgares sobres las

áreas eléctrodos como

se muestra y sostenga

el sensor de pulso

cerca la consola de su

equipo. Mientras

sostiene un pulgar estacionariamente, comience a darle

golpecitos con el otro pulgar contra las áreas electrodos

aproximadamente un golpecito por segundo. Observe la

COMO COLOCAR O SENSOR DE PULSAÇÕES PARA O

PEITO

1. Veja o diagrama abaixo. O sensor de pulsações para o

peito tem dois componentes: a faixa para o peito e o sen-

sor. Insira a patilha numa das extremidades da faixa para

opeito numa das extremidades do sensor, da forma

mostrada no desenho. Prenda a extremidade do sensor

debaixo do fecho da faixa para o peito. A patilha deve ficar

alinhada com a frente do sensor.

2. A seguir, coloque o sensor de pulsações para o peito à

volta do seu peito e insira a outra extremidade da faixa

para o peito no sensor. Se necessário, ajuste o compri-

mento da faixa para o peito. O sensor de pulsações para

opeito deve ser colocado por baixo do vestuário, bem

apertado contra a pele e o mais alto possível mesmo

abaixo dos músculos peitorais ou seios tanto quanto lhe

seja confortável. Certifique-se de que o logo do sensor

está apontado para a frente e virado para cima.

3. Afaste o sensor alguns

centímetros do seu

corpo e localize as

dos no lado interior (as

ambas as áreas dos

eléctrodos com uma solução salina tal como saliva ou

SENSOR DE PULSAÇÕES PARA O PEITO CUIDADOS

• Seque completamente o sensor de pulsações depois de

cada utilização. O sensor de pulsações para o peito é acti-

vado quando as áreas do eléctrodo são humedecidas e o

monitor de batimentos cardíacos é colocado; o sensor de

pulsações para o peito pára de funcionar quando é reti-

rado e as áreas do eléctrodo são secadas. Se o sensor de

pulsações para o peito não for secado depois de cada uti-

lização, ele poderá ficar activado durante mais tempo do

que o necessário, terminando prematuramente a pilha.

• Guarde o sensor de pulsações para o peito num local

quente e seco. Não guarde o sensor de pulsações para o

peito num saco plástico ou noutro recipiente que possa

reter humidade.

• Não exponha o sensor de pulsações para o peito à luz di-

recta do sol durante longos períodos de tempo; não o ex-

ponha a temperaturas superiores a 50°Cou inferiores a

–10°C.

•Não dobre, nem estique excessivamente o sensor, ao

guardá-lo.

• Limpe o sensor com um pano húmido—nunca use álcool,

produtos abrasivos ou químicos. A faixa para o peito pode

ser lavada à mão e secar ao ar.

AVISO: Se tem implantado um dispositivo

médico, como um pacemaker, consulte o seu

médico antes de usar o monitor cardíaco. Se tem

problemas cardíacos, ou se já fez 60 anos e tem

tido uma vida inactiva, não use programas orien-

tados pela pulsação. Se toma regularmente

medicamentos, consulte o seu médico para saber

se a medicação afectará o seu ritmo cardíaco du-

rante o exercício.

RESOLUÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS DO SENSOR DE PUL-

SAÇÕES PARA O PEITO

Se o sensor de pulsações para o peito não funcionar adequa-

damente, tente os passos a seguir.

• Certifique-se de que usa o monitor cardíaco exactamente

como descrito na página anterior. Se o sensor de pul-

sações para o peito não funcionar quando é colocado da

forma descrita, mova-o ligeiramente para baixo ou para

cima na zona do peito.

• De cada vez que usar o monitor cardíaco, use uma

solução salina, como saliva ou solução para lentes de

contacto, para humedecer as zonas dos dois eléctrodos

na unidade do sensor.

• Se estiver a fazer exercício num tapete rolante, certifique-

se de que se mantém aproximadamente a meio da cinta

de caminhar, à distância máxima de um braço da consola.

• O sensor de pulsações para o peito foi concebido para in-

divíduos com ritmos cardíacos normais. Os problemas

com as leituras dos batimentos cardíacos podem ser cau-

sadas por problemas como contracções ventriculares pre-

maturas (pvcs), ímpetos de taquicardia e arritmia.

• O funcionamento do sensor de pulsações para o peito

pode ser afectado por interferências magnéticas causadas

por linhas de alta tensão e outras fontes. Se suspeita de

que possam existir interferências magnéticas a causar um

problema, tente mudar de sítio o equipamento de exercí-

cio.

• Teste o monitor

cardíaco do seguinte

ZAKŁADANIE MONITORA

1. Patrz: rysunki poniżej. Monitor tętna składa się z dwóch

części: pasa piersiowego i zespołu czujników. Przełożyć

klapkę z jednej strony paska piersiowego przez otwór na

końcu zespołu czujników, tak jak pokazano na rysunku.

Nastepnie nacisnąć koniec zespołu czujników pod

sprzączką na pasie piersiowym.

2. Owinąć monitor tętna wokół klatki piersiowej.

Przymocować drugi koniec pasa piersiowego do zespołu

czujników, jak opisano powyżej. Wyregulować długość

pasa piersiowego, jeśli to konieczne. Monitor tętna

powinien znajdować się pod ubraniem,

KONSERWACJA I PRZECHOWYWANIE MONITORA

HOGYAN TELEPÍTSE A VEVŐKÉSZÜLÉKET

HOGYAN HELYEZZE A PULZUSSZÁM FIGYELŐRE

1. Lásd az ábrát lejjebb. A pulzusszám figyelő 2

komponensből áll – a mellkas szíjból és az érzékelő

egységből. Helyezze az akasztót a mellkas szíj egyik

végén található lyukba, a másikat pedig az érzékelő

egységbe a mellékelt rajz alapján. Majd, nyomja a szenzor

egység végét a mellkas szíjon található övcsat alá.

2. Fedje be a mellkasát a pulzusszám figyelővel. A mellkas

szíj másik végét csatlakoztassa az érzékelő egységhez,

az ábra szerint. Állítsa be a mellkas szíj hosszúságát, ha

szükséges. A mellkas-pulzusérzékelőt a ruhája alá kell

helyezni, feszítse a bőrére és egészen a mellizmok vagy

mell alá tegye, ahogy kényelmes. Győződjön meg róla,

hogy a logó az érzékelő egységen előrefelé áll a

APULZUSSZÁM FIGYELŐ ÁPOLÁSA

•Ne tegye ki a pulzusszám figyelőt közvetlen napfénynek

hosszabb időn keresztül. Ne tegye ki a pulzusszám

figyelőt 122° F (50° C) –nél nagyobb, vagy 14° F

(-10° C)-nél kisebb hőmérsékletnek.

• Ne hajlítsa vagy húzza meg túlzottan az érzékelő

egységet, amikor a pulzusszám figyelőt használja vagy

tárolja.

• Tisztítsa meg az érzékelő egységet egy nedves ruha

használatával- soha ne használjon alkoholt,

súrolószereket vagy vegyszereket. A mellkas szíj kézzel

mosható és levegőn szárítható.

FIGYELMEZTETÉS: Amennyiben

pacemaker, kérje ki orvosa véleményét, mielőtt

használatba veszi a készüléket. Ha szívproblémái

vannak, vagy 60 évesnél idősebb és inaktív

A PULZUSSZÁM FIGYELŐ HIBAKERESÉSE

Ha a pulzusszám figyelő nem működik megfelelően, próbálja

meg az alábbi lépéseket.

•Győződjön meg róla, hogy a pulzusszám figyelőt pontosan

úgy viseli, mint az fentebb leírásra került. Amennyiben a

pulzusszám figyelő nem működik annak ellenére, hogy a

fentiekben leírtak szerint viseli azt, próbálja meg lassan

feljebb, vagy lejjebb tolni a mellkasán.

• Használjon sóoldatot, mint a nyál vagy

kontaktlencse-oldat, nedvesítse be mindkét

elektródaterületet az érzékelő egységen.

• Amennyiben futópadon végez edzést, győződjön meg róla,

hogy a futószalag közepén áll, karnyújtásnyira a konzoltól.

• A pulzusszám figyelőt olyan emberek számára tervezték,

akik normális szívritmussal rendelkeznek. A szívverés
