POWER ON/OFF
Der Hauptschalter befindet sich auf der
Ri.ickseite des Gerates. Mit diesem Schalter
wird der DAC-1 einge-schaltet (Standby).
ANALOGE AUSGANGE
Der DAC-1 besitzt zwei Paar analoge Aus-
gangsbuchsen. Damit haben Sie die Wahl
zwischen symmetrischem Betrieb i.iber
XLR -
Buchsen und asymmetrischem Betrieb uber
Cinch-Anschlusse. Alie Ausgange sind
mit R
und L gekennzeichnet, die rechte Cinch-
Buchse ist an einem roten Ring zu erkennen.

POWER DIGITAL OUTPUTS
The main power-button is placed at the
back of the unit. To switch on the CD-player
push the power-button. The unit is in
standby-mode now .
ANALOG OUTPUTS
You can choose between XLR-outputs and
RCA . The outputs are marked with R and L.
The right RCA-plug is also marked with red.
The ADVANTAGE
DAC-1 is equipped with
a BNC-output.
DIGITAL INPUTS
The DAC-1 offers two digital outputs: BNC-
coax and AES-EBU,
optional Glass ST.

lhres ADVANTAGE DAC-1,
der mit diskreten
Feldeffekt-Transistoren aufgebaut ist, em-
pfehlen
wir eine «Einlaufphase». In dieser
Zeit erreicht das Gerat sein voiles Potential.
Sie sollten lhren
DAC-1 immer angeschaltet
oder im Standby-Modus lassen, vor allem in
den ersten
fUnf bis sechs Wochen der lnbe-
triebnahme. Danach konnen Sie die voile
musikalische Qualitat lhres ADVANTAGE
DAC-1 genie1Sen.

1. Der ADVANTAGE DAC-1 sollte auf einer
flachen und festen Unterlage stehen.
2. Netzkabelverlangerungen sind fur das
Gerat nicht zu empfehlen.
3. Reinigen Sie lhren ADVANTAGE DAC-1
nur mit sehr weichen Tuchern und mit spe-
ziel ler Reinigungsflussigkeit (z.B. mit
Kunststoffreiniger und -pfleger).
4. Vergewissern Sie sich, daiS vor der Reini-
gung das Netzkabel ausgesteckt ist.
5. Das klanglich beste Resultat erhalten Sie,
wenn das Gerat eingeschaltet oder im
set up/operation

2. The mains connection should not be
extended.
3. To clean the unit, use only a soft tissue.
Never apply abrasive cleaners to the outer
surfaces of your DAC-1.
4. Before cleaning, make sure that the unit
is unplugged.
5. For best results, the DAC-1 should always
be left on or in the standby mode. The unit
