1.0 INTRODUCTION
Each CBX balance comes with internal rechargeable lithium battery and USB charging
lead. There is a choice of three capacities, each with four weighing units including grams,
pounds, ounces and Newtons, selectable by a Mode/Units key. The bright backlit display
enables operation in any degree of light, and the 304 grade stainless steel top pan offers
protection against most materials and liquids. With easy calibration through the keypad
the CBX ensures correct and accurate weighing at all times.
Always position the balance on a steady and level surface before use. Use the levelling
feet and bubble indicator to adjust the balance to level.
The display “-----” indicates that the balance has been overloaded or damaged.
The battery indicator symbol showing just one bar indicates that the battery needs
charging.
Plug the USB cable into the back of the balance and connect to a USB power source.

2.0 KEY OPERATIONS
Power on/off key.
Short press of this key turns on or off the backlight, press and hold the key
down to allow weighing units selection – g, N, oz or lbs.
Tare / Zero key is used remove the weight of an empty container or to zero
the balance.
In weighing mode, press and hold the counting key to enter the counting
function. The display will show PC with “10” flashing, press the mode/unit
key to change the sample size, available options are 10,20, 50, 100 & 200
After selecting the sample size, put the number of items to be counted that
equal the sample size on the top pan, press the counting key to confirm
The item weight is now stored in the balance, short pressing of the counting
key selects the counting function / returns to normal weighing.

3.0 CALIBRATION
To calibrate the balance follow the instructions below:
1. Turn on the scale and zero it.
2. Press and keys about 5 seconds, it displays raw analogue to digital
counts.
3. Press one time, scale display CALL→[xxxx],xxxx is the calibration weight
required.
4. Put the weight on the scale according to scale display value. Scale will
automatically calibrate,when the calibration is finished, the scale back to normal
weighing.

righttorepairorreplacethecomponentsatanyofitsworkshopsdependingontheseverityof
theproblems.However,anyfreightinvolvedinsendingthefaultyunitsorpartstotheservice
centreshouldbebornebythepurchaser.
Thewarrantywillceasetooperateiftheequipmentisnotreturnedintheoriginalpackaging
andwithcorrectdocumentationforaclaimtobeprocessed.Allclaimsareatthesolediscretion
ofAdamEquipment.
Thiswarrantydoesnotcoverequipmentwheredefectsorpoorperformanceisduetomisuse,
accidental damage, exposure to radioactive or corrosive materials, negligence, faulty
installation, unauthorized modifications or attempted repair orfailuretoobservethe
requirementsandrecommendationsasgiveninthisUserManual.Additionallyrechargeable
batteries(wheresupplied)arenotcoveredunderwarranty.
Repairs carried out under the warranty does not extend the warranty period. Components
removedduringthewarrantyrepairsbecomethecompanyproperty.
