Installation
• This oven must be installed by qualified personnel in
accordancewithexistingrulesandregulations.
• Thisovenisheavy.Takecarewhenmovingit.

• Do not attempt to modify the oven in any way.
• This appliance is not connected to a combustion
products evacuation device. It must be installed and

ChildSafety

or its handle.

• Takegreatcare when heating fatsand oils as they will
ignite if they become too hot.
• Alwaysuseovenglovestoremoveandreplacefoodinthe
oven.
• Ensure that all control knobs are in the OFF position
whennotin use.
• Donotleavecookwarecontainingfoodstuffs,e.g.fator
oilin or on the ovenin case it is inadvertentlyswitched
ON.
• When using other electrical appliances, ensure the
cabledoes notcomeinto contactwiththehotsurfaces
oftheoven.
•Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal
scraperto clean the oven door glass since they can
scratchthesurface,whichmayresultinshatteringof
the glass.
Maintenance and Cleaning
• Onlycleanthisoveninaccordancewiththeinstructions.
• Thisappliancecannotbecleanedwithsteamorwith
a steam cleaning machine.
• Theovenshouldbekeptcleanatalltimes.Abuild-upof
fatsorotherfoodstuffscouldresultinafire,especiallyin
the grill pan.
• Always allow the oven to cool down and switch off the
electrical supply before carrying out any cleaning or
maintenancework.
Service
• This oven should only be repaired or serviced by an
authorisedServiceEngineerandonlygenuineapproved
spareparts shouldbeused.
•The manufacturer disclaims any responsibility
should these safety measures not be carried out.
Environmental Information
• Afterinstallation,pleasedisposeofthepackagingwith
dueregardtosafetyandtheenvironment.
• Whendisposingofanoldappliance,makeitunusable,

Controls
Oven Light - The oven light will be on
withoutanycookingfunction.
Electric grill and rotisserie operation;
Rangeoftemperatureadjustmentforthe
electricgrill(fromaminimumofabout50ºC
to a maximum of about 200°C).
Oven Fan - It can be used in combination
with the gas oven burner (“Fan cooking”
function).
Minute minder
The minute minder will mark the end of a timed period
with an acoustic alarm. The maximum timing is 60
minutes.
Turntheminuteminderknobclockwisetothemaximum
time position, then turn it back to the required time.
The minute minder will not affect in any way the oven
operation, if it is in use.
Mains on Light
The mains on light will come on when the “Light-Grill &
Fan” control knob is set.

Before the First Use
Remove all packaging, both inside and outside
theoven,beforeusingtheappliance.
Beforefirstuse,theovenshouldbeheatedwithoutfood.
During this time, an unpleasant odour may be emitted.
This is quite normal.
1. Switch the Gas Oven control knob to 240.
2. Openawindowforventilation.
3. Allowtheoventorunemptyforapproximately
60 - 90 minutes.
Grill Control Light
TheGrill(thermostat)controllightwillcomeonwhen the
thermostatcontrolknobisturned.Thelightwillremainon
untilthecorrecttemperatureisreached.Itwillthencycle
onandofftoshowthetemperatureisbeingmaintained.

Thecoolingfanoperatesduringcooking. Air is expelled
throughventsbetweentheovendoorandthecontrolpanel,
as shown in the diagram.
Thecoolingfanmayrunonaftertheovenisswitchedoff
to keep the controls cool. This is quite normal.

To open the oven door, always catch the handle
in its central part.

Using the Oven
Always cook with the oven door closed.
Theovenissuppliedwithanexclusivesystem
which produces a natural circulation of air
and the constant recycling of steam. This
system makes it possible to cook in a steamy
environment and keep the dishes soft inside
and crusty outside. Moreover, the cooking
time and energy consumption are reduced to
a minimum. During cooking steam may be
producedwhichcanbereleasedwhenopening
the oven door. This is absolutely normal.
However, always stand back from the
oven when opening the oven door during
cooking or at the end of it to allow any
build up of steam or heat to release.
Standclearwhenopeningthedropdownoven
door. Do not allow it to fall open - support the
doorusingthedoorhandle,untilitisfullyopen.
• Theovenhasfourshelflevels,andissupplied
withoneshelf.Theshelfpositionsarecounted
from the bottom of the oven as shown in the
diagram.
It is important that the shelf is correctly
positionedas shown inthe diagram.
•Attention!-Donotplaceobjectsdirectlyonthe
ovenbaseanddonotcoveritwithaluminiumfoil
while cooking, as this could cause a heat
build-upwhichwouldaffectthebakingresults
and damage the oven enamel. Always place
pans,heat-resisting pansandaluminium foils
ontheshelfwhichhasbeeninsertedintheoven
cavity.
Cookware
• Use any oven proof cookware which will withstand
temperaturesof240°C.
• Bakingtrays, oven dishes, etc. shouldnot be placed
ontheovenbase.
• Do not use baking trays larger than 30 cm x 35 cm
(12 in x 14 in) as they will restrict the circulation of
heatandmayaffectperformance.
Theeffectsofdishesoncookingresults
Dishes and tins vary in their thickness, conductivity,
colour, etc. which affects the way they transmit heat to
thefood inside them.
AAluminium,earthenware,ovenglasswareand bright
shinyutensils reduce cooking andbase browning.
BEnamelledcastiron, anodized aluminium, aluminium
withnon-stickinterior and coloured exterior anddark,
heavyutensilsincreasecookingandbase browning.
Condensation and steam
Whenfoodisheateditproduces steam in the same way
as a boiling kettle. The oven vents allow some of this
steam to escape. However, always stand back from
the oven when opening the oven door to allow any
build up of steam or heat to release.
If the steam comes into contact with a cool surface on
the outside of the oven, e.g. a trim, it will condense and
producewaterdroplets.Thisis quite normal and is not a
faultwiththeoven.
To prevent discolouration, regularly wipe away
condensationandalso soilage from surfaces.
Hints and Tips
Be careful when you insert and extract the oven
shelf,thedrippingpanandthebakingtrayfromthe
oveninordernottodamagetheenamelledsurfaces
oftheovencavity.

Turnspit
To use the turnspit, proceed as follows:
1. Insert the spit frame on the second guide from
the bottom, as shown in the figure.
2. Insert the first fork in the spit, skewer the food
to be cooked and secure it by inserting the
second fork; fix the two forks by tightening the
special screws.
3. Insert the tip of the spit in the hole of the
turnspit motor, clearly visible in the middle of
the rear wall of the oven.
4. Place the front part of the spit on the spit fra-
me.
5. Unscrew the grip.
6. Turnthe “Light-Grill & Fan” knob tothe symbol
and the thermostat knob to “MAX”
It is advisable to insert the drip-tray on the first
guide from the bottom, after pouring about two
cups of water in it.

1. PresstheGasOvencontrolknob,turnitto240
and wait for the flame to come on. This may
take 10-15 seconds. Do not release the knob
until the burner ignites. It is possible to check
theflamethroughtheholesinthebottomofthe
oven.
2. Uponignition,keeptheknobpressedforabout
5/10seconds,then release it andturnittothe
requiredsetting.
)If the oven burner does not light even after 15
seconds:
1. Releasethe controlknobandturnit tothe“Off
position”
2. Opentheovendoorandwaitforatleast1minute
beforetryingtolighttheovenburneragain.
Oven safety device
Thegas oven featuresa thermocouple; if for any reason
the flame should extinguish, the device will stop the gas
flow.
If the oven burner accidentally goes out, turn the
ovenknob to the “Off”position and wait atleast 1
minutebefore trying to lightthe burner again.
Thegasovenandtheelectricgrillcannot be used
at the same time. The ignition of the oven gas
burner prevents the electric grill control knob to
operate.

Using the Fan Gas Oven
)To usethe Fan Gas Oven:
1. Light the oven gas burner as described in
“Using the Gas Oven”, steps 1 and 2.
2. Uponignition,turnthe“Light-Grill&Fan”control
knob on position .
Theovenfanwillstartassoonastheovencavity
reachestherequiredcookingtemperature.
Theairinsidetheovenisheatedbythegasburner
andthe fan circulates hot air to maintain an even
temperatureinsidetheoven.
Theadvantageofcookingwiththisfunctionis
energy saving through:
zFaster Preheating
Asthefanovenquicklyreachestemperature,itisnot
usually necessary to preheat the oven although you
mayfindthatyouneedtoallowanextra5-7minutes
on cooking times. For recipes which require higher
temperatures,bestresultsareachievediftheovenis
preheatedfirst,e.g.bread,pastries,scones,souffles,
etc.
zLower Temperatures
Fanovencookinggenerallyrequireslowertemperatures
thanconventionalcooking.
Followthetemperaturesrecommendedinthecooking
chart. Remember to reduce temperatures by about
20-25°Cforyourownrecipeswhichuseconventional
cooking.
zEven Heating for Baking
Thefanovenhasuniformheatingonallshelfpositions.
This means that batches of the same food can be
cooked in the oven at the same time. However, the
bottom shelf may brown slightly quicker than the
upperone.
This is quite usual. There is no mixing of flavours
betweendishes.

Grilling must be carried out with the oven door
closed.
How to Use the Grill
1. Turn the “Light-Grill & Fan” clockwise control knob
after symbol . Please note that the symbol on
the knob indicates the temperature setting.
2. Adjust the grid and grill pan runner position to allow
fordifferentthicknessesoffood.Positionthefoodclose
tothetop element for fastercookingandfurtheraway
formoregentle cooking.
Preheatthegrill onafullsetting fora fewminutes before
sealing steaks or toasting. Adjust the heat setting and
the shelf as necessary, during cooking.
• Themains onlightwillcomeonwhenthe"Light-Grill
& Fan" control knob is set.
• The grill control light will remain on until the correct
temperatureisreached.Itwillthencycleonandoffto
showthatthetemperatureisbeingmaintained.
NOTE
Theactionofthecoolingfanwilldependonhowlongthe
grill has been used and at what temperature. It may not
switch in at all at lower temperature settings nor run on
wherethe oven has only been used for a short time.
Hints and Tips
- Most foods should be placed on the grid in the grill
pantoallowmaximumcirculationofairtoliftthefood
outofthefatsandjuices.Foodsuchasfish,liver and
kidneys may be placed directly on the grill pan, if
preferred.
- Food should be thoroughly dried before grilling to
minimisesplashing.Brushleanmeatsand fish lightly
with a little oil or melted butter to keep them moist
duringcooking.
- Accompanimentssuchastomatoes and mushrooms
maybeplacedunderneaththegridwhengrillingmeats.
- Whentoastingbread,wesuggestthatthe top runner
position is used with the grid in its 'high' position.
- The food should be turned over during cooking, as
required.

Before cleaning always allow the cooling fan to
cool the oven down before switching off at the
electricitysupply.
This appliance cannot be cleaned with steam or
witha steam cleaningmachine.
The oven should be kept clean at all times. A
build-up of fats or other foodstuffs could result in
a fire, especially in the grill pan.
Cleaning materials
Beforeusing anycleaningmaterialsonyour oven,check
thattheyare suitable and thattheiruseisrecommended
bythemanufacturer.
Cleaners that contain bleach should NOT be used as
theymaydullthesurfacefinishes.Harshabrasivesshould
alsobeavoided.
External cleaning
Regularlywipeoverthecontrolpanel,ovendooranddoor
seal using a soft cloth well wrung out in warm water to
which a little washing up liquid has been added.
Topreventdamaging orweakeningthe doorglass
panelsavoid the use ofthe following: household
detergent and bleaches, impregnated pads unsuitable
fornon-stick saucepans, steelwoolpads,chemicaloven
pads or aerosols, rust removers and bath/sink stain
removers.
Before cleaning the oven door, we recommend you to
removeitfromtheoven.
Proceedasfollows:
1. opentheovendoorcompletely;
2. findthehingeslinkingthedoortotheoven(Fig.A);
3. unlockandturnthesmallleverslocatedonthetwo
hinges (Fig. B);
4. handle the door by its left- and right-hand sides,
thenslowlyturnittowardstheovenuntilitishalf-
closed (Fig. C);
5. gently pull the oven door off its site (Fig. C);
6. place it on a steady plan;
Cleantheovendoorglasswithwarmsoapywateranda
softhclothonly.Neveruseharshabrasives.
Once the cleaning is carried out, refit the oven door,
followingtheprocedureinreverse.
DO NOT clean the oven door while the glass
panelsarewarm.Ifthisprecautionisnot observed
the glass panel may shatter.
If the door glass panel becomes chipped or has
deep scratches, the glass will be weakened and
mustbe replaced to preventthe possibility of the
panel shattering. Contact your local Service
Centrewhowill be pleased toadvisefurther.

Replacing the Oven Light
Disconnect the appliance.
Iftheovenbulbneedsreplacing,itmustcomplywiththe
followingspecifications:
- Electric power: 15 W/25 W,
- Electric rate: 230 V (50 Hz),
- Resistant to temperatures of 300 °C,
- Connection type: E14.
ThesebulbsareavailablefromyourlocalServiceForce
Centre.
Toreplacethe faulty bulb:
1. Ensure the oven is disconnected from the
electrical supply.
2. Turn the glass cover anticlockwise.
3. Remove the faulty bulb and replace with the
newone.
4. Refittheglasscover.
5. Reconnect to the electrical supply.

Oven Cavity
Theenamelledovencavityisbestcleanedwhilsttheoven
is still warm.
Wipetheovenoverwithasoftclothsoakedinwarmsoapy
water after each use. From time to time it will be
necessary to do a more thorough cleaning, using a
proprietaryovencleaner.
Oven Shelves
Tocleantheovenshelves,soakinwarmsoapywaterand
remove stubborn marks with a well wetted soap
impregnated pad. Rinse well and dry with a soft cloth.
Models in stainless steel or
aluminium
Werecommendto clean the oven doorusing only a wet
sponge and dry it up after cleaning with a soft cloth.
Neverusesteelwool,acids or abrasive products as they
candamagetheovensurface.
Clean the oven control panel following the same
precautions.

If after the checks listed in the previous chapter, the
appliance still does not work correctly, contact your
local Service Centre, specifying the type of
malfunctioning, the appliance model (Mod.), the product
number (Prod. No.) and the serial number (Ser. No.)
marked on the identification plate.
Thisplateis placed on the frontexternaledge of the oven
cavity.
Original spareparts, certified by the product
manufacturerand carrying this symbol are only available
at our Service Centre and authorized spareparts shops.

Something Not Working
If the appliance is not working correctly, please carry out the following checks, before contacting your local Service

Check that the oven is switched on at the wall

Check that you are using the recommended tempe-
rature settings and shelf positions.
Check that the oven is installed properly.

Checkthe light bulb, and replaceit if necessary (see
"ReplacingtheOvenLight")
Refer to the contents of this booklet, especially to
thechapter“Using the Gas Oven”.
Leave dishes inside the oven no longer than 15-20

Important Safety Requirements
The following instructions about installation and
maintenancemustbecarried out by qualified personnel
and in compliance with existing rules in force.
Provision for Ventilation
This appliance is not connected to a combustion
products evacuation device. It shall be installed and
connected in accordance with the current installation
regulations. Particular attention shall be given to the
relevantrequirements regarding ventilation.
The room containing the appliance should have an air
supply in accordance with BS. 5440: Part 2 Current
Edition. All rooms require an openable window or
equivalentandsomeroomswillrequireapermanentvent
aswell. For room volumes up to5m3 anair vent 100cm2
isrequired; for room volumesbetween 5m3and 10m3,an
air vent with a minimum area of 50cm2is required. If the
room has a door which opens directly to the outside, no
air vent is required. For room volumes that exceed 11m3
no air vent is required.
If there are other fuel burning appliances in the same
room, B.S. 5440: Part. 2: Current Editions should be
consulted to determine the requisite air vent
requirements.
Prolonged intensive use of the appliance may call for
additional ventilation, for example opening a window, or
more effective ventilation, for example increasing the
level of mechanical ventilation where present.

Location of appliance
The appliance may be located in a kitchen, a kitchen/
diner or bedsitting room but not in a bathroom, shower
room or bedroom.
It is essential that there is a minimum clearance of 4mm
between the top surface of the appliance and the inside
top of the cabinet. The unit must be fitted into a cabinet
conforming to dimensions given in these pages.
This oven unit may be used in a Built-in or a Built-under
situation (see relevant diagrams). If the appliance is to
be built-under a hob, it is recommended that the hob be
installed before the oven unit.
Building in
Please ensure that when the oven is installed it is
easily accessible for the engineer in the event of a
breakdown.

The instructions given below are designed
specificallyforaqualified installer and should
aid him or her to perform all installation,
adjustment,andmaintenanceoperations with
absolute precision and in compliance with all
current legislation and regulations. We
strongly recommend that all operations for
the installation of your cooker be carryed out
by Qualified Personnel in accordance with
existing rules and regulations.
Electrical connection
Priortomaking theelectricalconnection,makesure that:
— the protection fuse and the domestic wiring system
aresuitabletocarrythetotal electric load of the oven
(seeratingplate);
— your domestic wiring system has an efficient earth
connectionin compliancewithrulesandlaws inforce;
— the wall socket or the omnipole switch used for the
electricalconnectioncan easily be reachedafter the
oven is built in.
This appliance is delivered without an electric supply
cable, therefore, you will have to fit to it a supply cable
with standard plug, suitable for the total electric load
shownontherating plate. The plug istobeinserted into
asuitable wall socket. Ifyou require a directconnection
to the electric network (mains), it will be necessary to fit
betweentheapplianceandthemainsanomnipoleswitch,
withaminimumgapbetweencontactsof3mm,suitable
fortherequiredloadand incompliancewith rulesinforce.
Thegreen& yellow ground wire mustnot be interrupted
by the switch and it should be 2-3 cm. longer than the
other cables. The supply cable must in all cases be laid
out in such a way as to ensure that it does not reach at
any given point a temperature 50°C higher than the
ambienttemperature.
Suitable power supply cables are the following types,
considering the respective necessary section of cable:
H07RN-F, H05 RN-F,H05 RR-F, H05VV-F,H05V2V2-
F(T90), H05 BB-F.
Terminal block
Theovenhasaneasilyaccessibleterminalblock,which
is meant to work with an electric single-phase rate of
230 V.
The Manufacturer disclaims any liability in case
these accident-preventing rules are not observed.

Connecting the appliance to the
gas supply
Thegas supply connection rampis located in theupper
sideof the oven, rightbehind the control panel.
To carry out the gas connection:
1. Partially insert the oven in the recess (about 30
cm.) and operate on the connection ramp from
above. The gas connection can be carried using
accordingtooneof the following procedures:
A) connection with flexible metallic pipes
(withmaximum length up to 2 metres only) —
screw the feed pipe to the 1/2“ connection
ramp, inserting the gasket provided between
the pipe and the ramp;
B) connection with rigid metallic pipe (soft
copper - minimum diameter: 8 mm) — insert
thecopperpipeintotheconnectionrampafter
fittingthecorrectnutandoliveontothecopper
pipe using a male / female adapter (not
supplied).
2. Tighten the nuts by means of a 22 mm spanner,
in order to keep the ramp in position and not to
cause any stress to the gas supply circuit.
3. Completely insert the oven in the recess and
secureit as indicated in therelevant paragraph.
4. Checkthe perfect sealing of the connection using
leak detection fluid. Never use a flame for the
leak-proof test !
Check the gas supply ramp and the gas
connection pipe are not squeezed while the
oven is positioned into the recess.
The use of rubber flexible hoses is not
permitted.
Theuseofagascookingapplianceresultsinthe
production of heat and moisture in the room in
whichit isinstalled.Ensurethat thekitcheniswell
ventilated:keepnaturalventilationholesopenor
installamechanicalventilationdevice(mechanical
extractorhood).

Adaptation to different types of gas
IMPORTANT
The replacement/conversion of the gas hob
should only be undertaken by qualified
personnel.
Itisimportantto note that this modelisdesigned for use
with natural gas at a feeding pressure of 20 mbar but
canbeconvertedfor use with LPG providing the correct
injectors are fitted. The gas rate is adjusted to suit.
The oven burner does not need any primary
air regulation.
Replacement of gas oven
burner nozzle
To replacethegas oven nozzle, followthis procedure:
1. Removethebottomplate of the oven cavity(“A”);
2. Undothetwo fixing screws(“C”)whichkeeptheoven
gasburner in place
3. Gently slide the oven gas burner off the injector
support(“D”)andslowlymoveitto the left hand side,
taking care not to cause stress to the spark candle
connection wire (“E”) and the thermocouple (“F”)
conductor;
3. With a socket spanner 7 unscrew and remove the
gas burner injector (“D”), and replace it with the
requiredone(seeTable on this page);
4. Reassembletheburnerfollowingthesameprocedu-
rebackwards.
5. Replace the Gas Type Sticker (it is located near the
gas connection ramp) with the one relevant to the
new gas type which is supplied with the injector kit.

Minimum level adjustment
of gas oven burner
This procedure must be undertaken by
qualified personnel only.
1. Disconnect the appliance from the electricity
supply.
2. Remove all the knobs.
3. Open the oven door and locate the ventilation
grid which is fixed right below the control panel.
4. Remove the rubber caps from the ventilation gris
then undo the two fixing screws (“A”) and finally
take the grid off.
5. Undo the two fixing screws (“B”) which keep the
control panel in place, then take it off the
appliance.
6. Adjust the by-pass screw (“C”) using a thin
bladed screwdriver. When changing from natural
gas G20 to liquid gas G30/G31, completely
tighten the adjustment screw in.
When changing from liquid gas G30/G31 to
natural gas G20, undo the by-pass screw about
1/2 of a turn.
7. Refit all the oven parts following the above
described procedure backwards.
8. Restore the mains supply.
Do not restore the mains supply if all the
removed parts have not been fitted back in
their original position.
9. Light the oven gas burner (see the relevant
chapter), set the gas oven control knob on 240
and let the oven heat for 10 minutes at least.
10.Check that the oven gas burners does not come
out when quickly turning the gas oven control
knob from 240 to 150.
11.Should the oven gas burner come out when
performing point 10, repeate the whole procedu-
re from point 1 to point 10, until a small regular
flame is obtained on the complete gas oven
burner crown.
