An incoming call is in icate by a ringing tone an a flashing in icator at the top of both han set an base units. You can answer the
call by oing one of the followings:
• Pick up the handset to answer the call.
• Press the Line (Line1/Line ) key on the han set to answer the call.

• Enter the telephone number with the alphanumerical keypa an the call will start automatically.

You can use the 6 pre-assigne spee ial hotkeys, to configure the most commonly iale numbers. Use the function to ial a
number quickly, instea of keying in a complete number.
To call a number using spee ialing, follow the steps below:
• Press the spee ial hotkey that has been pre-assigne to the phone number an the call will start automatically.

For han s free operation, you can use the builtin speaker to talk on the phone. To use the speakerphone, follow the steps below:
• While talking on the phone, press the SKEAKER key on the phone to enable the Speakerphone function.
• Press Speaker key again to terminate the call.

You may want to put a call on hol temporarily while oing some work or atten ing to a secon incoming or outgoing call. To put a
call on hol , o one of the following:
• Press the HOLD key on the phone to put the call on hol .
• When you receive a secon call, press the next available LINE key to atten to the new call, an the first call will be put on hol
automatically.

You woul nee to charge the han set battery before using the han set.
• Install the battery into the han set.
• Place the han set onto the base unit an base unit will start to charge the han set automatically.
• The charging in icator lights up in re uring charging progress. The LED goes off after the han set battery is fully charge .
•
For best performance, keep the han set in the telephone base or charger base when not in use.
• The battery is fully charge after 10 hours of continuous charging.
• If the han set will not be use for a long time, isconnect an remove the battery to prevent possible leakage.

If the message waiting indicator at top of han set or base unit lights up in re , it in icates that there are one or more new messages
in voicemail box.
• Press the MESSAGE key on the phone to retrieve voice messages.

4 Battery Safety Instructions
• CAUTION: Use only supplie battery.
• Do not ispose of the battery in a fire. Check with local waste management co es for special isposal instructions.
• Do not open or mutilate the battery. Release electrolyte is corrosive an cause burn or injury to the eyes or skin. The electrolyte

• Only use the battery provi e by AEI, may be a risk of explosion if wrong type of battery is use .
• Use only the power a apter supplie with this pro uct.
• If you o not use the han set for a long time, isconnect an remove the battery to prevent possible leakage.
• You may place the han set into the base after each call in or er to charge the battery.
