RV-10 Rear Seat Headrest Installation Guide
1. On the back side of the seat, mark the center rivet with a marker/pen.
This rivet will be drilled out.

2. Using a #20 drill bit, drill out the center rivet.

4. Using a ruler, measure from the outside edges of the L brackets to find your center line.
The center rivet you drilled out should be directly in the center.

5. Mark the center line.

6. Using your center line, place the center hole of the head
rest bracket directly over your center line/center rivet location. The bracket channels will be
facing down.

7. Hold the bracket in place with your hand and begin drilling out the hole locations using a #20
drill bit. Place an 8-32 pan head screw in each location as you move around all four holes to
ensure that the bracket does not shift.

8. Flip the seat on its side and thread the supplied lock nuts onto the 8-32 screws. Using an 11/32
crescent wrench on the nut side and a #2 Phillips head screwdriver on the screw side, tighten all
four nuts down. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!

9. After all screws are tightened and in place move to what would be the top of the head rest
bracket and drill out the lower two holes using a #43 drill bit.

10. After drilling out the holes you will need to tap the bracket as well as the metal behind it. Use a
4-40 tap.

11. Screw in the supplied threaded ball detent with the head rest bar in place. Tighten until there is
less than 1/16" of play.

The detent will sit almost flush with the mating surface.
