Troubleshootin
My 5-Port 10/100 Ethernet Switch is properly connected to my Ethernet-ready
device, but I still can t establish a connection.
Possible Solution
The length of your Ethernet cable between your 5-Port 10/100 Ethernet Switch an
your workstation or computer shoul not excee 328 feet. Some power sources with
strong electromagnetic fiel s may be causing interference.
Possible Solution
It may be necessary to replace your RJ-45 Category 5 Ethernet cable.

The 5-Port 10/100 Ethernet Switch may be use with a stan ar straight-through
Ethernet cable.
Where is the uplink port?
Possible Solution
Each port may be use as an uplink port since each supports auto-crossover. This
means that each port on the 5-Port 10/100 Ethernet Switch automatically allows for
connecting a itional hubs, switches, or routers with a straight-through cable.

U.S. Robotics’ sole obligation un er this express warranty shall be, at U.S. Robotics’ option

or part to replace the efective item, or if neither of the two foregoing options is reasonably
available, U.S. Robotics may, in its sole iscretion, refun to Customer the purchase price pai

Replacement pro ucts may be new or recon itione . U.S. Robotics warrants any replace or
repaire pro uct or part for ninety (90) ays from shipment, or the remain er of the initial

Customer containe in, store on, or integrate with any pro ucts returne to U.S. Robotics for
repair, whether un er warranty or not.
WARRANTIES EXCLUSIVE: IF A U.S. ROBOTICS PRODUCT DOES NOT OPERATE AS WARRANTED
ABOVE, CUSTOMER’S SOLE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF THAT WARRANTY SHALL BE REPAIR,
REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID, AT U.S. ROBOTICS’ OPTION. TO THE
FULL EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES ARE EXCLUSIVE
