Safety Notices
CAUTION: Sprayer boom should be lowered to ground or on hydraulic
safety stops before starting work. Do not work under sprayer boom
supported by hydraulic system only. Turn off machine and wait for all
machine motion to stop before starting work. Apply parking brake.
CAUTION:
Be sure to wear proper eye protection when using any power
tools, such as when drilling control module mounting holes.
CAUTION:
Be sure to route cables avoiding pinch points, sharp edges and
allowing extra slack where needed. Keep extra cabling out of the
operator’s area to prevent possible injury. Secure cables with nylon wire
ties.
IMPORTANT:
Disconnect the Display,
DirectCommand
components and
flow meter from electrical system when welding on or jump starting
equipment to prevent component damage due to power surges or excessive
current.
IMPORTANT:
If using a non Ag Leader GPS receiver, make sure to install the
Null Modem Cable PN: 2000819, included in the Ag Leader Display kit, to
prevent damage to the Display or the GPS receiver.
IMPORTANT:
Disconnect battery ground; by not disconnecting battery
ground you may damage machine or components during installation.
IMPORTANT:
Use the Dielectric grease to coat the seals and terminals of
each connector that will be exposed to weather or chemicals as you plug
them in.
IMPORTANT:
Check behind vehicle and implement panels for any hoses,
wiring, controls, etc. that could be damaged when drilling any mounting
holes.
NOTE:
Be sure to follow the alignment keys on the plugs and the
receptacles carefully. Do not use excessive force when mating connectors.

2. Follow the layout for the mounting holes to be drilled in the Cab Box PN:
4000598. If mounting one module, mount it in the solid end of the Cab Box. De-
burr the holes and clean out the Cab Box.
3. The Liquid Product Control Module PN: 4000394 and the Auxiliary Input
Module PN: 4000437 will mount on the bottom of the Cab Box.
4. Plug the end access hole with the Dome Plug PN: 2002268 if mounting one
Boom Valve Relay Module. Omit the Doom Plug if mounting two Boom Valve
Relay Modules.
NOTE: The Cab Box may be secured to the cab floor mat using
the barbed nylon retainers. The following four steps are for that
purpose. At the operators discretion you may leave the box
unsecured for easier transport from vehicle to vehicle.
Location of the mounting holes.
IMPORTANT
: Make sure to keep the Cab Box out of the operator’s area to
prevent module damage and/or a hazard to the operator.
5. Position the Cab Box on the floor, underneath the right hand console. Make
sure to leave room for cabling.
6. Mark the location of the mounting holes in the bottom of the box on the
floor mat.

7. Remove the box and cut a 1/2” (13mm) slot in the floor mat on the marked
locations.
8. Use the nylon Barbed Locking Retainers PN: 2002267 to secure the Cab Box
to the floor by pressing them through the holes of the Cab Box and into the
rubber floor mat underneath. The Control Modules can be mounted before
securing the Cab Box to the floor.
Cab Box showing three Control Module configurations.
9. Mount the modules on the studs in the Cab Box using the 1/4” nuts and flat
washers provided with the Cab Box Kit.
10. If using one Boom Valve Relay Module the module will mount in the
holes, drilled in steps one and two, on the end of the Cab Box. Use the two
1/4”-20 x 3/4” oval headed screws, lock nuts and flat washers for mounting
the Boom Valve Relay Module.
11. If using two Boom Valve Relay Modules the Auxiliary Input Module will
mount in the holes, on the solid end of the Cab Box closest to the Liquid
Product Control Module. The first Boom Valve Relay Module will mount in
the bottom of the Cab Box and the optional second Boom Valve Relay
Module will mount in the drilled holes at the same end as the first Boom
Valve Relay Module.
NOTE:
If sprayer requires two of the Boom Valve Relay Modules the
modules need to be
installed so the12-pin receptacles marked
BOOM OUT
are opposite of each other to make the cable
installation easier. Number the Boom Valve Relay Modules for ease
of cable connection.

exceeds the
Response Threshold
setting. Decreasing the value will cause
the servo valve to run slower
Valve response 2
40 %
Determines the speed of the servo valve when product control error is less
than the
Response Threshold
setting. Decreasing the value will cause the
servo valve to run slower.
Allowable Error
2 %
Determines the percent of error that is allowed prior to the product
control system making any flow rate corrections. 2 % – 3 % is the normal
dead band setting range. Too low of a setting will cause the control
system to continually hunt for the target application rate. Too high of a
setting will cause excessive application error.
Response
Threshold
Imperial:
2
Metric:
11.4
Determines where the control system switches between using Valve
response 1
and
Valve response 2
speed settings. Decreasing this value will
have the overall effect of speeding up servo valve response. Increasing this
value will have the overall effect of slowing down servo valve response.
NOTE
: Leaving all other valve control settings at the default value and making
a small adjustment to the
Response Threshold
setting is usually all that is
required to fine-tune the control system.
Flow Meter
Calibration
Number*
Check Flow
Meter Tag
NOTE: If the flow meter calibration number is for gallons per minute
(imperial) and you want to apply liters per minute (metric) you will
need to convert the imperial flow meter cal number by multiplying by
the conversion factor 3.785.
Example:
668 X 3.785 = 2528.38
Enter this value in the Display.
*Verify that the flow meter calibration number is correct by checking
your flow meter tag for the number and measuring system.
