INSPECTION
Uponarrival,inventorytheshipmentwiththecarrier'sdriver.
•Carefullyinspectthepackingmaterialforobvioussignsofdamage
suchascrushed,punctured,torn,broken,wetorrattlingpackages.
•Ifdamageisnotevident,signandstampa billoflading"condition
ofcontentsunknown- subjecttoinspection".
•Ifdamageisevident,contactyourPurchasingDepartmentforaction,
havethecarrier'sdriverindicatethedamageonthefreightbill,and
signallcopiesofthebill.
Duringformalinspection,youshould:
•Openallpackageswithin15daysofreceiptfora completeinspec-
tionoftheconsignment.
•Reportconcealeddamagetothecarrierwithin15daysofreceiptor
thecarriermaynotacceptliability.

Thefilmrecorderanditsaccessoriesareshippedina singlecarton,whilethe
cameramodulesareshippedseparately.Tounpacktheunit:
•Removethecartonstaplesfromthetopoftheboxbypryingthemup
witha regularscrewdriver.
•Removethefoamplatecoveringtheunit.Itiswrappedinblueplastic
andlaysacrosstheentiremachine.Thisexposestheunitandits
accessorykitwhichispackagedseparately.
•Takeouttheaccessorykitandsetitina safeplace.
•Carefullyliftthevideoimagerfromthecartonandplaceitona flat,
securesurface.Theunitisheavy,sohaveanotherpersonassistyou.
•Saveallshippingmaterialsincasetheunitrequiresadditional
transportation.

TheQCR-Zcanbepositionedona tableorsturdyshelfina spaceonlyslightly
largerthantheouterdimensionsofthecabinetitself.However,forservicingtheunit
youshouldprovideanareaofatleast20squarefeet(48"x 60")forservice
access.Thisenablesyoutolaytheunitonitsbase,removethetopcover,and
accesstheinteriorofthesystemfromallfoursides.
You mustkeepclearanareaofatleast36inches(915mm)atthefrontsideofthe
unittoaccesstheusercontrolsandusethecameramodules.Youshouldalso
allowanadditionalsixinchesoffreespaceatthebackoftheunitfortheGPIBand
powercables.RefertoFigure1-5.belowfortherecommendeduserandservice
clearances.
