1. INTRODUCTION
The DOSSISOL ONE MINI is a safe and accurate SO2dosing device that can be used either to directly dose a tank or to
automatically dose the wine tubing filling a tank. In automatic mode, the system ensures a perfect mixture of must/wine
with the SO2.
1.1 This system includes:
1. A scale for accurate dosing.
2. Stainless steel housing with PLC.
3. A touchscreen to electronically control dosing and electronic control valves.
4. A transport cart to move the equipment.
1.2 Needed for operation of the system:
a. One bottle of SO2.
b. One bottle of nitrogen with regulator (needed to pressurize and conduct SO2flushes).
c. A grounded 220V electrical outlet for electronic control.
2.
MODE OF OPERATION
2.1 Tank dosing.
To dose a tank with a defined quantity of SO2, follow the following procedure:
1. On the touch screen, select the number indicating Weight to be Dosed (1), and a keyboard will appear where the
desired amount of SO2to be dosed can be entered in kilos.
2. Select RESET (2) on the Dosed Weight to begin the dosing from ZERO.
3. Make sure that the Weight to be Dosed (1) is in the ON position. Switching between ON and OFF can be achieved by
toggling the ON/OFF indicator.
4. Select the Man. Without Pump (3) area of the screen to begin dosing.
5. The system will continue dosing until the dosed weight (2) is equal to the weight to be dosed (1).
6. When the process is complete, the system will produce an audible alarm, and the screen will indicate that the process
has finished.
7. If you wish to temporarily pause dosing, push the Stop button (4).
8. After each dosing procedure, the SO2 dosing hose can be flushed with nitrogen. Select Automatic (5), and a keyboard
will appear, where you can enter the number of minutes desired for the nitrogen flush flow. This quantity will remain
in the system’s memory for future dosing.

9. If nitrogen flushing is not desired, press the nitrogen Stop button (6).
10. If you wish to perform a manual nitrogen flush, select the number in the Manual section of the nitrogen screen (7)
while the system is stopped. To do this, tap on the number. A keyboard will appear on the screen. Enter the number
of minutes desired for the system to pump the nitrogen, and then press Manual (7). This operation is done to clean
the equipment or flush the SO2hose or wine tubing.
To regulate the dosing speed for the programmed amount of SO2:
1. Ensure that the Desired Flow Rate (8) is in the OFF position.
2. See the Quick Flow dosing at (9). If a faster or slower dosing speed is desired, open or close the nitrogen regulator
(SEE INSTALLATION MANUAL (5)).
3. The low flow alarm can also be activated to have the system sound an alert when the minimum SO2flow rate is
lower than programmed.
4. To do this, keep the indicator (10) in the ON position and tap on the number. A keyboard will appear, where you
can program the minimum number of kilos/hour for dosing, Low Flow Alarm (10). This may happen when, for
example, the bottle is empty, the outlet valve is closed, an obstruction is present, etc.
2.2 In-line dosing.
Typically, for the in-line dosing mode, the Weight to be Dosed (1) should be in the OFF position, as this procedure is
intended to homogenize the must/wine with a defined dosage of SO2in the wine tubing. Remember that, if the Weight
to be Dosed (1) is in the ON position, the system will stop when it reaches the programmed weight.
In-line dosing may be done automatically or manually.
A. Automatic in-line dosing:
1. Select the ON mode on the Desired Flow Rate (8) section of the screen.
2. Press the Auto with Pump (11) selector and make sure that the dosing equipment is connected to the winery’s
transfer pump (SEE INSTALLATION MANUAL (14)).
3. In this mode, the system will operate when the transfer pump does. When this happens, a pump icon will appear at
(11).
4. Next, enter the amount of SO2to be dosed in grams of SO2/kilo of must or wine. To do this, tap on the number in
Dosage (12), and a keyboard will appear where the dosage can be entered.
5. Next, select the Pump Flow (13) by tapping on the number. A keyboard will appear where the transfer pump flow
can be entered in kilos/hour.

6. The system will automatically calculate the SO2flow rate necessary to achieve the programmed dosage and will
indicate this flow rate in the Desired Flow Rate section (8).
7. During dosing, the system will adapt dosing to the desired flow rate by opening and closing the system’s SO2outlet
valve, monitoring the opening and closure of the valve.
B. Manual in-line dosing:
1. If connecting the system to the transfer pump is not desired or not possible, in-line dosing can be done manually. To
do this, select Man. Without Pump (3) whenever the transfer pump starts and select Stop (4) when the transfer
pump stops.
2. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO STOP THE SYSTEM WHEN THE WINE PUMP STOPS. OTHERWISE, THE SYSTEM WILL
CONTINUE DOSING WITH THE PUMP STOPPED!
3. ADJUST THE NITROGEN PRESSURE
The nitrogen pressure can be adjusted to be higher than the backpressure in the wine tubing or tank, which is normally
achieved with a pressure of 5 bar. In most cases, this pressure will allow for the bottle to empty completely.
4. GROSS WEIGHT
The system indicates the Gross Weight (14) of the SO2bottle. The SO2bottle Tare (15) must be entered. The system will
then automatically calculate the net weight of the SO2in the bottle, Net Weight (16). After the tare has been entered,
the operation will not repeat unless the bottle type changes.
These operations can be performed by tapping on the number so that the keyboard appears onscreen.
