AirPatrol SmartHeat is a system of heating management in resi-
dential buildings. It does not include a heat source but is meant to
be used in conjuction with an external heat source, such as a heat
pump or a gas boiler.
The SmartHeat consists of a ControlUnit and several RoomUnits.
The RoomUnits pass temperature information to the ControlUnit
via 868 MHz radio link. The ControlUnit, based on the temperature
information from the RoomUnits, user settings history and the tem-
perature outside, regulates the heat valves to ensure comfortable
indoor environment as well as energy saving in the entire building.

INSTALLATION
RoomUnit can be
mounted on a wall
with a wall plate.
The easiest way is to use
the double-sided tape
included in the box. This
can be done with most at
wall surfaces.
For uneven and textured
wall surfaces screws and
wall plugs for installation
have also been included.

PAIRING WITH CONTROLUNIT
After installing SmartHeat ControlUnit you are ready to pair
RoomUnits to the system.
1. Remove small paper
between batteries.
2. Put ControlUnit
into Pairing mode
by pressing PAIR
button (Pairing
LED will turn
green)
3. Press the PAIR button on RoomUnit. RoomUnit display
will indicate pairing mode. Now ControlUnit enters into
actuator selection mode. Pairing LED starts blinking
green on ControlUnit.

4. Select which actuators to control with RoomUnit by pressing UP / DOWN
buttons on ControlUnit. Yellow blinking LED shows selected actuator. To select
the actuator press SELECT button. Green blinking LED shows that the actuator
is paired to the RoomUnit. Red LED means that the actuator is already in use by
another RoomUnit.
5. Press PAIR button on ControlUnit when actuators for RoomUnit have been
selected. Pairing LED will turn green. To pair another RoomUnit to actuators
repeat steps 3-5. To exit pairing mode press PAIR button on ControlUnit, pairing
LED will turn o.
6. Pairing ends automatically on
RoomUnit when connection is
established. In order to see ZONE
number press RoomUnit UP botton for
5 seconds.

NORMAL
In Normal mode the room temperature
is maintained to the user set
temperature setpoint.
TIMER
In Timer mode weekly timers determine
when is Timer temperature setpoint
used instead of normal setpoint. The
Timer temperature setpoint is set for
each room/zone and is repeated every
week. Each room/zone has 4x7=28 ON/
OFF weekly timers. 4 dierent ON/OFF
cycles can be set for each weekday.
ECO
In ECO mode the regulation maintains
a dierent temperature setpoint
that the user can change, called ECO
setpoint. ECO mode is set for all rooms/
zones, however the ECO temperature
setpoint is set for each room/zone
separately.
ECO mode is not set for rooms/zones
that have “MIN” mode active. “MIN”
mode means that heating is o in that
room, therefore ECO mode in that room
should not be activated.
MIN
In MIN operating mode temperature
regulation will not allow temperature
drop below +5°C. This mode is used also
on times when heating is not required,
while still preventing frost protection.
In addition the actuator valves will be
opened and closed briey in every 84h
to prevent them getting stuck.
