1. INTENDED USE OF THE PRODUCT
2. OPERATING GUIDELINES/RULES OF PLAY
The following operating guidelines must be respected at all times:
- THE OPERATOR MUST CONSTANTLY WATCH THE PLAYER.
- Do not allow another player entry to the inflatable before the present player has vacated the
unit.
- Before entering the game area, CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS SHALL BE GIVEN to players on their
conduct during playtime:
- Please warn the player verbally that they will be thrown from the bull. If the player has any
doubts, he/she shouldn’t use the unit.
- NO SOMERSAULTS or any ACROBATICS allowed.
- The player to remove footwear, eye wear, cell phones, keys, neck wear and/or any sharp
items.
- No one with ANY PRE-EXISTING INJURIES or HEALTH CONCERNS, in the state of
PREGNANCY or UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF PSYCHOTROPHIC SUBSTANCES may
use the unit.
- DO NOT allow the player to OBSTRUCT THE MOVEMENT OF THE BOARD. This
includes no hanging, pushing-pulling of the board.
The Bull Rodeo is designed to be used by one player and one
operator. The player must sit on the bull and manage to
counterbalance the movement of the bull. The operator has control
(via the supplied control box) over the speed and direction of
rotation of the bull and is able to make the game harder or easier.
The operator must immediately stop the mechanism when the
player falls. The time spent on the moving bull is measured and the
player with the longest time wins.

- Every time the player falls, THE MECHANISM MUST BE STOPPED!
- Use the Emergency Button only in a case of an emergency. After releasing it, WAIT AT LEAST
5 SECONDS before pressing any other button/handle on the Control Box.
- The unit should NOT TO BE USED IF IT BECOMES WET. In the event of rain, the unit should
be deflated and folded to prevent water collecting on it.
- DO NOT allow MORE THAN 1 PLAYER on the unit at a time. (This includes the entire bed area.)
- Please start at a slow speed, to build the confidence of the player. As the game progresses, the
operator can increase the difficulty of the ride.
- Always advise the player that you are increasing the difficulty. If the rider does NOT agree to go
faster, respect their decision.
- Always warn the player before starting the game.
- Only after the player feels that he/she has positioned himself/herself the operator can start the
program.
The controller/operator shall determine the number and suitability of supervisory personnel (min.
of one) required to operate the inflatable safely. This should be done by considering matters such
as the maximum number of users, the age of the users, the environment in which the inflatable is
being used, spectators number and attitude, number of users in queue etc…
Operators and attendants need to be easily identifiable. This is usually achieved by wearing a
uniform or part of a uniform which both users and onlookers can recognize. Perhaps a tabard or
even a T- shirt with "I'm in charge" emblazoned across it.
The operator needs to be able to exercise some authority over the users. For example, a whistle
hung around the operator's neck, immediately confers authority.
All operators receive effective training in the working of the device including:
- Safe operation and maintenance of the amusement device
- Site safety
- Safe entry/exit for users;
- Safe anchoring of the inflatable;
- Crowd control measures and barriers;
- Action to be taken in the event of a power failure;
- Procedures for reporting accidents, defects or breakdowns, fire, adverse weather and other
emergencies.
Before entering the play area, CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS SHALL BE GIVEN to players on their
conduct during playtime.
It is recommended that safety signs should be devised and displayed in a prominent position
where users will see them before theyare allowed to use the inflatable unit. Such signage is a useful
reminder for staff too.

4. THE CONTROL PANEL
1. Main On/Off switch. It works only with the supplied
keys.
2. Emergency Stop: In case you must stop the
mechanism suddenly.
3. This will light up when the Control Panel is under
power, and the key is turned to ON.
4. Controls the bucking speed of the Bull.
5. Controls the rotation speed of the Bull.
6. Controls the bucking direction of the Bull.
7. Controls the rotation direction of the Bull.
The control panel must be placed at the entrance, at an approximate distance of 1.5M, so that the
operator has an unobstructed view of ALL the players.
5. HAZARDS RELATING TO ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
The use of portable electrical equipment involves the potential risk of electric shock, burns or fire.
A major cause of accidents is failure to maintain equipment. The risk can be managed effectively if
sensible and appropriate rules for use and maintenance are applied!
1. The most important rule when handling the mechanism is to ALWAYS DISCONNECT IT from
its power source when ASSEMBLING THE UNIT, opening the Control Boxor the Drive Motor.
(the only case when this doesn’t apply is when you manually reset the Yaskawa).
2. The control panel and the wiring used within the game are NOT WATER PROOF OR WATER
RESISTANT, therefore we do not recommend operating the unit in the rain. Using electrical
equipment in wet or damp conditions can be dangerous. If you suspect water has entered
any of the electrical components they should not be used until completely dry and tested. We
recommend taking professional advice where necessary.

3. All cables and electrical equipment must be tested in accordance with the regulations of your
country.
4. In accordance with HSE guidelines, all 230 Volt equipment should be protected with an RCD
(Residual Current Device) having a maximum trip current of 30 mA. RCD’s are available from
Airquee or your electrical store.
When operating the unit please:
- Make sure the electric power supply is stable and not fluctuating in any way.
- Make sure all the cables are connected properly: the drive motor with the control box, and
the control box to the main electric supply.
- When using it with a generator, make sure it has an output of more than 4 kVA (kilo-volt-
ampere), and a stable 230 Volts on 50Hz.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
- Make sure the electric power supply is stable and not fluctuating in any way.
- Make sure all the cables are connected properly: the drive motor with the control box, and
the control box to the main electric supply.
Issue
Solution
Short circuit or
ground fault on the
drive output side
- Try connecting the mechanism directly to the main supply. In case it is
used with an extension cord, make sure not to connect to many things
to the same extension lead.
Unit has no power
- Check if the power cord is connected correctly
- Check both ends of the mains power cord for damages/disruption
- Check if the emergency stop button is released
The ride is really
slow
- Check that you have enough voltage & amps to the machine.
Once you go over a 30 feet (10 meter) extension cord this can
contribute to voltage drop: the longer the cord, the worse the
problem will be.
The machine won’t
buck or spin
- Check the Emergency Stop button to be released
- Open up every plug and socket and check connections
- Inspect all cords for any damage that may create a short
- If not, we recommend a qualified electrician does a continuity test
with a meter to determine what parts of the machine are receiving
power
I cannot throw
anyone off the bull
- Check that you have enough voltage & amps to the machine.
Once you go over a 30 feet (10 meter) extension cord this can
contribute to voltage drop: the longer the cord, the worse the
problem will be.
The mechanism is
making noises
- Lubricate all bearings on the motion base and the drive chain
inside the motion base using WD –40 (or similar) - see the
lubrication points on the figure below.
If you still have issues with the mechanism, please contact Airquee customer support on the
following number +44 (0)1179 414 918.

7. IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY
In the event of loss of power, thus causing the inflatable to deflate:
- Depress the Emergency Stop button and remove the key;
- Turn off the main power switch. Instruct the player to evacuate the ride safely offering
assistance if it is safe to do so.
- Once the player has evacuated the ride, unplug the control console and blower from the main
power outlet.
8. Routine Inspections, Trial Operations and Thorough Examinations:
Routine inspections (before every use)
After every setup or operation, before opening the game to the public, the controller or his nominee
SHALL PERSONALLY CHECK that the setup of the Rodeo is correct.
We recommend to check for every criteria written below. The person carrying out the check shall
be sufficiently trained or experienced in the check routines that have to be carried out.
Check that:
- every button is in a working condition on the Control Panel.
- the electrical connection sockets and cables are not chafed nor damaged.
