Bagman / Super Bagman Kit
INSTALL GUIDE
The Bagman / Super Bagman 2 in1 kit installed in the picture above.
There are 2 PWB’s that come with the kit as pictured from left to right
1. PROCESSOR PWB
2. ROM PWB
Also included is a ribbon cable with 6 pin connectors that connect the 2 PWB’s together.
Some of the tools that may be needed for the install are pictured below.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND FULLY
The Bagman / Super Bagman kit allows current users of a Bagman stand up
arcade game to play Bagman & Super Bagman games on your original game PWB.
There is a 2 pin header marked “select”on the CPU PWB. This header when
“open”will play Super Bagman, when “closed”will play the original Bagman game.
A length of 2 conductor cable and receptacle with pins are included if the user
wants to mount a toggle switch on the coin door or other location to switch
between the two games. Note that the toggle switch is not included.
It is recommended that you power off the game when switching games as
this action does not reset the processor, it only selects different “code”.
It will not damage anything if you don’t power off, but there could be scrambled
screen graphics or erratic game play if you do. In most cases the watchdog timer
on the Bagman board will reset the processor, but not in all cases.
REMOVE THE Z80A CPU AS SHOWN ABOVE AND SET ASIDE.
PLUG THE PROCESSOR PWB INTO THE Z80A SOCKET AS SHOWN ABOVE.
PLUG THE Z80A PROCESSOR BACK INTO THE PROCESSOR PWB
AS SHOWN ABOVE, BEING CAREFUL NOT TO PARTIALLY UNPLUG
THE PROCESSOR PWB WHEN PRESSING THE CHIP INTO THE SOCKET.
REMOVE THE 6 EPROMS [9E, 9F, 9H, 9J, 9K & 9M] AND KEEP IN A SAFE
PLACE SO IN CASE YOU EVER DECIDE TO UN-INSTALL THE KIT.
REMOVE THE 4 EPROMS [1C, 1E, 1F & 1J] AND KEEP IN A SAFE
PLACE SO IN CASE YOU EVER DECIDE TO UN-INSTALL THE KIT.
PLUG IN THE KIT ROM PWB AS SHOWN ABOVE, BE VERY CAREFUL
TO ALIGN THE PINS BEFORE PRESSING INTO PLACE, A SINGLE BROKEN
PIN CAN CAUSE THE KIT TO DISPLAY GARBLED GRAPHICS.
INSERT 6 PIN RIBBON CABLE AS SHOWN ABOVE INTO THE ROM PWB.
INSERT OTHER END OF THE CABLE INTO THE PROCESSOR PWB.
THE BOARD INSTALL IS NOW COMPLETE!!!
TAKE NOTE OF THE SELECT CONNECTOR AS THE BOARD IS SHIPPED
WITH A SHORTING JUMPER, THIS CAN BE REMOVED TO INSTALL THE
OPTIONAL SELECTOR SWITCH AS DESCRIBED AT THE START OF THE
INSTALL GUIDE.
