LIGHTNING FLASH WITH ARROWHEAD
SYMBOL
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol
within an equilateral triangle, it is intended
to alert the user of the presence of
uninsulated dangerous voltage within
the products’ enclosure that may be of
sucient magnitude to constitute a risk
of electric shock to persons.
EXCLAMATION POINT
The exclamation point within an equilateral
triangle, is used to indicate that a
specific component should be replaced
only by the component specified in the
literature for safety reasons.
CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT LABEL
You will find a label similar to that of the
image indicating that the boombox has a
laser component.
ENGLISH
The following label has been affixed to the unit, listing the proper procedure for working
with the laser beam:
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. If the cord is damaged, have it repaired
by the manufacturer, its service or a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid any
hazard.
2. The power supply must be replaced by a
new one in case of malfunction, because
this power supply is not repairable.
3. The socket-outlet should be installed
near the equipment and should be easily
accessible.
4. The product is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capacity.
Persons who have not read the manual,
unless they have received explanations
by a person responsible for their safety
and supervision should not use this unit.
5. Children should be monitored to ensure
that they do not play with the product.
6. When connected the cord should always be
readily accessible.
7. The apparatus should not be exposed to
dripping or splashing of water or liquids
and no objects filled with liquids such
as flowers vases shall be placed on the
product.
8. Do not impede the normal ventilation of
the product when intended to use.
9. Always leave a minimum distance of 10cm
around the unit to ensure sufficient ven-
tilation.
10. Open flame sources, such as candles,
should not be placed on top of the device.
11. The device is intended for use only in a
temperate climate.
12. CAUTION:
Danger of explosion if battery is
incorrectly replaced or not replaced by
the same type or equivalent.
13. The battery should not be exposed to
excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or
similar.
14. Dierent types of batteries, new and
used batteries should not be mixed.
15. The battery must be installed
according to the polarity.
16. If the battery is worn, it must be removed
from the product.
17. The battery must be disposed o safely.
Always use the collection bins provided
(check with your dealer) to protect the
environment.

5. CLEANING:
- Turn O the unit if it’s On before cleaning.
- Unplug the unit from the wall outlet
before cleaning.
- Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
- Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
6. WATER AND MOISTURE:
Do not use this product near water.
For example:
Near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink,
or laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near
a swimming pool; and similar.
7. ACCESSORIES:
Do not place this product on an unstable
cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table.
The product may fall, causing serious
injury to a child or adult and serious
damage to the product.
Use only with a cart, stand, tripod,
bracket, or table recommended by the
manufacturer, or sold with the product.
Any mounting of the product should
follow the manufacturer’s instructions,
and should use a mounting accessory
recommended by the manufacturer. A
product and cart combination should be
moved with care - quick stops, excessive
force and uneven surfaces may cause the
product and cart combination to overturn.
8. VENTILATION:
Slots and openings in the unit are
provided for ventilation and to ensure
reliable operation of the product and
to protect it from overheating, and
these openings must not be blocked or
covered. The openings should never be
blocked by placing the product on a bed,
sofa, rug or other similar surface. This
product should not be placed in a built-in
installation, such as a bookcase or rack,
unless proper ventilation is provided or
the manufacturer’s instructions have been
adhered.
9. POWER SOURCES:
This product should be operated only
from the type of power source indicated
on the marking label. If you are not sure
of the type of power supply of your
home, consult your product dealer or local
power company. For products intended
to operate from battery power, or other
sources, refer to the operating instructions.
10. POWER-CORD PROTECTION:
Power-supply cords should be routed so
that they are not likely to be walked on or
pinched by items placed upon or against
them, paying particular attention to cords
at the power plug and jack plug socket.
During movement, please take care of the
power cord.
For example:
Tie up the power cord with a cable tie.
11. NON-USE PERIODS:
The power cord of the product should
be unplugged from the outlet when left
unused for long periods of time.
If the speaker has to be left unused for a
long time, please leave the battery fully
charged, otherwise it will cause damage to
the battery.
12. LIGHTNING:
For added protection of this product
during a lightning storm, or when it is left
unattended and unused for long periods
of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and
disconnect the antenna or cable system.
This will prevent damage to the product
due to lightening and power-line surges.
13. POWER LINES:
An outside antenna system should not
be located in the vicinity of overhead
power lines or other electric light or power
circuit. When installing an outside antenna
system, extreme care should be taken to
keep it from touching such power lines
or circuits as contact with them might be
fatal.
14. OVERLOADING:
Do not overload wall outlets and extension
cords as this can result in a risk of fire or
electric shock.
15. OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY:
Never push objects of any kind into this
product through the openings as they
may touch dangerous voltage points or
shoot-out parts that could result in a
fire or electric shock.
Never spill liquid of any kind on the
product.
16. SERVICING:
Do not attempt to repair this product
yourself as opening or removing covers
may expose you to dangerous voltage
or other hazards. Refer all to qualified
service personnel.
17. DAMAGES REQUIRING SERVICE:
Unplug this product from the wall outlet
and refer to qualified service personnel
under the following conditions.
a) When the power-supply cord,
battery or plug are damaged.
b) If the product has been exposed to
rain or water.
c) If liquid has been spilled, or objects
have fallen into the product.
d) If the product does not operate
normally by following the operating
instructions, adjust only those
controls that are covered by the
operating instructions, as an
improving adjustment of other
controls may result in damage and
will often require extensive work by
a qualified technician to restore the
product to its normal operation.
e) When the product exhibits a
distinct change in performance
it indicates a need for service.
18. REPLACE PARTS:
When parts require to be replaced, be sure
the service technician has used ocial
parts specified by the manufacturer or
they have the same characteristics as the
original parts, unauthorized substitutions
may result in fire, electric shock and other

PREPARATION FOR USE
Carefully take out all the components from the carton and remove all packaging materials from the
components. Make sure that nothing is accidentally discarded with the packing materials.
If possible, save the carton and packaging materials for the unlikely event that the product ever
needs to be sent for service. Using the original carton and packing materials is the only proper way
to protect the unit from shipping damage.

CONNECTIONS
Notes:
• Unplug the power cord from the wall
outlet to protect your set during heavy
thunderstorms.
• The power cord is used as a disconnection
device, the cord shall remain always readily
accessible.
MAINS CONNECTION
1. Check if the power voltage shown on the
rating label located on the back of the
set, corresponds to your local AC power
supply.
2. Connect the power cord to the wall outlet.
Batteries must be inserted correctly to avoid damage to the boombox. Always remove the batteries
when the apparatus is not going to be used for a long period of time as this may cause leakage of the
batteries and subsequently damage to your device.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Slide out the battery compartment cover located at the bottom of the unit and insert
6 LR14/UM-2/C TYPE batteries (not included) according to the polarity shown in the battery
compartment.
Notes:
• Always detach the power cord from the wall outlet if the boombox is going to be operated
with batteries.
Note:
• When turning on the unit, the display
will show the last playback mode that
was used.
POWER ON & STANDBY MODE
1. Once the boombox has been connected to
a wall outlet, or charged with batteries,
turn on the main power by briefly pressing
the /MODE button, The LCD display
will turn on showing the current playback
mode.
2. Press the /MODE button on the front of
the unit, to initiate the function modes.
3. To put the boombox on standby mode,
just press and hold the /MODE button
for 2 secs and the display will turn off.
BASIC OPERATION
POWER OFF
To turn off the boombox completely it has to
be done from a standby position.
Then you can unplug the device from the
wall outlet or remove the batteries safely.
MODE BUTTON
Press the /MODE button repeatedly
to switch among bt (Bluetooth)/ AUX
(Auxiliary input) / rd (Radio) / tAP (Tape)
/ Cd (CD) / USb (USB).
VOLUME LEVEL
Turn the VOLUME KNOB on the top left
panel to adjust the volume level.
REPEAT
Press repeatedly the REPEAT button on
the front panel to scroll through the
following repeating settings: One-All-OFF.

RECORDING TO CASSETTE
This boombox allows the user to record
cassettes from every input source available
ranging from CD's to Bluetooth playback. In
order to do that follow these simple steps:
1. Press the /MODE button repeatedly to
select the desired function mode.
2. Prepare the medium you want to record
from e.g insert a CD, tune into a radio
station, plug the auxiliary cable...
3. Insert a suitable cassette into the cassette
compartment.
4. Press the and buttons of the top panel
at the same time to start the recording.
CASSETTE PLAYBACK
1. Press the /MODE button to turn on the unit.
2. Press the /MODE button repeatedly until
tAP (tape) function mode appears flashing
on the display.
Once the tape mode has been entered,
the TAPE MODE INDICATOR will appear
on the display.
3. Press the button /of the top panel to
open the cassette door.
4. Insert a cassette and close gently the door
of the compartment.
5. To start the playback, press the button
of the top panel.
Press the button of the top panel to
temporarily stop the playback and press it
again to resume it.
6. Press the /button to stop playback.
CASSETTE FORWARDING/REWINDING
1. Press and hold or buttons of the top
panel to find a specific passage within the
track and release it at the point you want
to listen to.
2. Press the /button to stop fast-forwarding
or rewinding.
BASIC CASSETTE OPERATION
Notes:
• The buttons will automatically release at
the end of the cassette playback.
• While fast-forwarding or rewinding, the
buttons will not release automatically at
the end of the cassette.
Notes:
• This boombox is not suitable for recording
on CHROME (IEC II) or METAL (IEC IV)
cassettes. To record, use NORMAL
cassettes (IEC I) on which the record
tabs (small squares found on the top
corners of the cassette tape) have not
been removed.
• To prevent re-recording on a cassette,
remove the record tabs.
• To re-record a cassette that does not have
recording tabs, just put some adhesive tape
over the squares where the tabs used to be.
• When recording to a cassette from a
auxiliary input or Bluetooth, you can
adjust the volume level from the external
device.
• The best recording volume level is set
automatically.
Adjusting the volume control will not aect
the recording.
• No recording will take place in the first 7
seconds and last 7 seconds of the cassette.
CREATING A CD PLAYLIST
The Program feature may be used to program
up to 20 tracks for CD and 99 tracks for
CD-MP3 in a programmable playlist.
1. While in stop mode only (CD is not playing),
press PROG, and the LCD display will show
the wording “P01” and the “Program”
indicator.
You can play your audio CD/ CD-R/ CD-RW/
MP3 in your boombox.
1. Press the /MODE button to turn on
the unit.
2. Lift up manually the CD COMPARTMENT LID.
3. Insert a CD with the printing side facing
up and manually gently close the disc tray.
4. Press the /MODE button repeatedly until
Cd (CD) function mode appears flashing
on the display.
Once the CD mode has been selected, the
CD MODE INDICATOR will appear on the
display.
Then the player will start reading the disc,
and the total number of tracks found will
be displayed.
5. Press SCAN/ to start or resume the
playback. Press SCAN/ again to stop
the playback temporarily.
When the player is in pause mode the
screen will flash to indicate it.
6. Press the button to stop playing.
The display will show again the total number
of tracks.
SELECT ANOTHER TRACK OR FILE
Turn the TUNING KNOB on the right top
panel to the or positions to select
a different track number.
Rotate briefly to once to hear the
beginning of the current track, and turn it
twice or more to hear the previous track.
LISTENING TO YOUR TRACKS REPEATEDLY
Press the REPEAT button on the front
panel repeatedly to activate the REPEAT
FUNCTION in the following order:
1. REPEAT 1 (repeat the current track)
2. REPEAT (repeat all the available tracks)
3. OFF (cancel the repeat function)
ABOUT MP3 DISC COMPATIBILITY
This unit is compatible with:
Sampling Frequency: 32-48 (MP3)
Bit rate: 32-320kbps (MP3)
Do not use special letters such as:
/ :*?< > etc
Even if the total number of files on
the disc is more than 1000, it will only
show up to 999.
BASIC OPERATION CD / MP3
2. Turn the TUNING KNOB to the or
position to allocate the desired track.
3. Press the PROG button to select and store
the track into the memory.
The program sequence will change to
“P02” to choose the next track.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to select up to
20/99 tracks.
5. To play the selected tracks (in the program
mode), press the button.
6. Turn the knob to position to hear the
previous programmed track or turn to
position to hear the next programmed
track.
7. To clear the programmed tracks from the
memory, press the button twice or open
the CD TRAY LID.
Note:
• Because MP3 discs have a large capacity,
disc access times are a little longer.
5. Start the playback of the desired source.
6. Press the button to pause the recording
and press it again to resume it.
7. Press the /button to stop recording.

FM RADIO
You can store up to 40 of your favorite stations
in the tuner memory for easy recall at any time.
AUTO SCAN
1. Press the /MODE button repeatedly until
“rd” (radio) function mode appears flashing
on the display.
Once the radio mode has been selected, the
FM/MHz and ST FUNCTION INDICATOR
will appear on the right side of the display.
2. Press the SCAN/ button, and the boombox
will scan and briefly stop automatically
whenever it finds a station with sucient
signal strength.
3. The display will update showing the current
station frequency.
4. Turn the TUNING KNOB to the or
positions to view and listen to the scanned
radio stations.
MANUAL SCAN
1. Press the /MODE button to select “rd”
(radio) mode.
2. Turn the TUNING KNOB to the or
positions to tune to a station. Each turn on
the tuning knob will change the frequency
up or down by 100 kHz.
3. Once you find a station you want to save,
press and hold the PROG button on the
front panel for 2 seconds. “S01”will be
shown on the display; turn the knob to
or positions until the desired memory
position number appears on the display.
Press PROG again to confirm and save the
current station.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to store up to 40
stations.
PLAYING STORED STATIONS
Press the PRESET/+10 button repeatedly to
select the desired preset number.
STEREO/MONO BROADCAST
Select stereo or mono broadcast.
1. By default “ST” (stereo) broadcast is the
setting for the tuner mode.
The display will show briefly the word “ST”
when the stereo mode is set and the
ST FUNCTION INDICATOR will appear on
the right top corner.
2. To improve the reception when tuning to
stations with weak signal, change the mode
to monaural sound.
The display will briefly show the word “NO”
when the mono mode is set, and the ST
FUNCTION INDICATOR will disappear.
USB MODE
PLAYING MUSIC VIA USB
This boombox has been developed using
the latest technical advances in the USB
field. However, given the wide range of USB
storage device types that are currently in the
market, we unfortunately cannot guarantee
full compatibility with all of them. For this
reason, in rare cases, there may be problems
playing files from some USB storage devices.
This is not due to device malfunction.
1. Press the button to turn on the unit.
2. Press the /MODE button repeatedly until
the “USb”(USB) function mode appears
flashing on the display.
Once the USB function mode has been
entered, the USB MODE INDICATOR will
appear on the top left of the display.
3. Connect a USB storage device directly
to the USB/MP3 port. The display briefly
shows the number of folders and then
the total number of tracks. Playback will
automatically start after a few seconds.
4. To temporarily stop playback, press the
/SCAN button, and to resume playback,
press it again.
5. Turn the TUNING KNOB to or
positions to select a different track
number.
6. Press the button to stop playing.
LISTENING TO YOUR TRACKS REPEATEDLY
Press the REPEAT button on the front
panel repeatedly to activate the REPEAT
FUNCTION in the following order:
1. REPEAT 1 (repeat the current track)
2. REPEAT (repeat all the available tracks)
3. OFF (cancel the repeat function)
Notes:
• If there’s an incompatible, or no USB
storage device is connected, the display
will show the word “NO”.
• Because some storage devices have a
large capacity, USB access time is a little
longer.
• Switch the device to a dierent operating
mode before you remove the USB storage
device.
• To avoid damaging the boombox or other
devices, do not try to charge any external
device using the USB port.
Note:
• To remove a preset station, store another
station in it's place.
CREATING A USB PLAYLIST
The Program feature may be used to program
up to 99 tracks for the USB mode too, in a
programmable playlist.
1. While in stop mode only (no USB playback),
press PROG, and the LCD display will show
the wording “P01” and the “Program”
indicator.
2. Turn the TUNING KNOB to the or the
positions to allocate the desired track.
3. Press the PROG button to select and store
the track into the memory.
The program sequence will change to
“P02” to choose the next track.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to select up to 99 tracks.
5. To play the selected tracks (in the program
mode), press the button.
6. Turn the knob to the position to hear
the previous programmed track or turn it
to the position to hear the next
programmed track.
7. To clear the programmed tracks from the
memory, press the button twice or change
to another function mode.

BLUETOOTH MODE
BLUETOOTH PAIRING
Prior to using the Bluetooth function, your boombox should be paired first with your Bluetooth
device. (“Pairing” means establish connection between Bluetooth devices such as mobile phones,
tablets, pc, etc).
1. Press the /MODE button to switch to
“bt” Bluetooth mode.

2. In Bluetooth mode, a voice prompt will
announce Bluetooth pairing mode and the
“bt” will flash on the display.
The BLUETOOTH MODE INDICATOR will
appear on the top middle of the display.
And the boombox will search automatically
for Bluetooth devices.
3. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your
device and make it visible (see your
device's instructions to add or setup a
Bluetooth device).
4. Search for Bluetooth devices and select
AIWA BBTC-550
Enter the code “0000” if needed.

If the devices are paired successfully, the
word “bt” will keep bright on the display,
and a prompt voice will notify that Bluetooth
device is connected.
Having paired successfully, the device will
connect automatically next time.
5. Briefly press to disconnect the paired
Bluetooth device.

PLAY FROM A BLUETOOTH DEVICE
1. Press the button to play.
2. To pause or resume play, press the
button again.
3. Turn the tuning knob to or position to
select a dierent track number.
Note:
• Compatibility with all Bluetooth devices
is not guaranteed.
TIME SETTING
SETTING THE CURRENT TIME
This unit has a built in 24 hours format clock
function. Follow the below steps in order to set
the time.
1. While the boombox is in standby mode,
press and hold the PROG/TIME button for
2 seconds.
The time 00:00 will appear flashing on
the display.
2. Turn the TUNING KNOB to the or
positions to set the hour and press the
PROG/TIME button to confirm.
Then the minutes digits on the display will
start flashing.
3. Turn the TUNING KNOB to the or to
the positions to set the minutes and
press the PROG/TIME button to confirm.
Note:
• If no button is pressed for 10 seconds,
the boombox will automatically cancel the
time setting operation.
AUXILIARY INPUT FUNCTION MODE
This unit can be used as an active speaker for
laptop computers, MP3 and other small audio
players following the steps below.
1. Press the /MODE button to turn on the unit.
2. Press the /MODE button repeatedly until
the “AUX” (auxiliary input) function mode
appears flashing on the display.
Once the auxiliary input mode has been
entered, the AUXILIARY INPUT MODE
INDICATOR will appear on the top right
of the display.
3. Connect an auxiliary cable ended with a
3.5mm to the desired external audio device,
and connect the other end to the AUX IN
socket on the side of the unit.
4. Start playback on the external audio device.
Adjust the volume on the external audio
device (do not set the volume to a high
level in order to avoid distortion). You may
also adjust the volume on the boombox. To
control playback function, use the controls
on the external audio device.
AUX-IN MODE
Note:
• The boombox cannot access the contents
in the connected external device.

CARE OF THE BOOMBOX
1. To prevent fire or shock hazard, remove
the batteries, or disconnect your unit from
the AC power source when cleaning.
2. The outside of your unit may be cleaned
with a dusting cloth and taken cared of
as any other furniture. Use caution when
cleaning and wiping the plastic parts.
3. Mild soap and a damp cloth may be used
on the top panel.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
CARE OF COMPACT DISCS
1. Treat the disc carefully. Hold the disc
only by the edges.
Never allow your fingers to come in
contact with the shiny, unpainted side of
the disc.
2. Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc.
to the disc label.
3. Clean the discs periodically with a soft,
lint-free, dry cloth.
Never use detergents or abrasive cleaners
to clean the disc.
If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.
If a disc skips or gets stuck on a section of

lines from the center of the disc to the outer

CARING OF CASSETTES/TAPES
1. Treat the cassettes carefully.
Never allow your fingers to come in
contact with the playing surfaces; handle
the cassettes/tapes by their outer
casings.
2. Rewind the tapes before storage.
Tapes must be stored vertically.
3. Clean equipment (tape heads, guides,
etc.) often and thoroughly with isopropyl
alcohol and cotton swabs.
4. Play your tapes every few years, in
order to check their condition and avoid
symptoms of the sticky-shed syndrome
(a common issue that aects the layers
of some cassette tapes that results in
sticking together).
5. Cassettes should be stored in their cases
after each use to avoid damage.
6. Do not expose cassettes to direct sunlight,
high humidity, high temperatures, or dust.
Prolonged exposure or extreme temperatures
may damage the cassette/tape.
TO CLEAN THE LENS
If the lens gets dirty, your speaker may skip or
may not play a CD:
1. Open the CD door.
2. Use a camera lens blower/brush to blow
on the lens once or twice, brush the dust
or particles o the lens then blow again.
3. To remove fingerprints, use a dry cotton
swab to wipe from the middle to outer
edge of the lens.
If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the boombox to repair.
Do not open the boombox as there is a risk of electric shock.

Notas:
• Desenchufe el cable de alimentación

CONEXIÓN PRINCIPAL
1. Compruebe si la tensión de alimentación
que se muestra en la etiqueta de calificación
situada en la parte posterior del equipo
corresponde a su fuente de alimentación de
CA local.
2. Conecte el cable de alimentación a la toma
de corriente.
Las pilas deben insertarse correctamente para evitar dañar el radiocasete.
Retire las pilas del compartimento cuando no se vaya a utilizar por un período prolongado.
Esto evitará posibles fugas o rupturas de las pilas que podrían dañar el aparato.
INSTALACIÓN DE LAS PILAS
Deslice la tapa e instale 6 PILAS TIPO LR14/UM-2/C (no incluidas), asegurándose de
hacer coincidir las marcas de polaridad dentro del compartimiento como se muestra en
la imagen:
ENCENDER Y PONER EN ESPERA (STANDBY)
1. Una vez que el radiocasete ha sido conectado
a la corriente, o cargado con pilas, pulse el
interruptor de /MODE, entonces la pantalla
LCD se iluminará mostrando el modo de
reproducción actual.
2. Pulse el botón /MODE en el panel frontal
de la unidad para navegar entre los modos
de función.
3. Para poner en modo espera el radiocasete,
simplemente pulse y mantenga presionado el
botón /MODE 2 segundos y la pantalla se
apagará.
APAGAR
Para apagar completamente el radiocasete
deberá hacerlo desde el modo espera.
Una vez puesto en espera, puede desenchufarlo
de la toma de corriente; o retirar las pilas de
forma segura.
AJUSTAR EL NIVEL DE VOLUMEN (VOLUME)
Gire el dial VOLUME en el panel superior
para ajustar el nivel del volumen.

GRABAR CASETES
Este radiocasete permite al usuario grabar
casetes desde cualquier modo de función.
Desde la reproducción de un CD hasta el
modo Bluetooth. Para ello siga estos sencillos
pasos:
1. Pulse repetidamente el botón /MODE
para acceder al modo de función deseado.
2. Haga los preparativos para el medio desde
el que desea grabar, por ejemplo, inserte
un CD, sintonice una emisora de radio,
conecte un cable auxiliar, etc.
REPRODUCCIÓN DE CASETES
1. Pulse el botón /MODE para encender el
radiocasete.
2. Pulse repetidamente el botón /MODE
hasta que tAP (casete) aparezca
parpadeando en la pantalla.
Una vez accedido a dicho modo, el
INDICADOR DE MODO CASETE aparecerá
en la parte superior de la pantalla.
3. Pulse el botón /del panel superior para
abrir el COMPARTIMENTO DE CASETES.
4. Inserte un casete y cierre cuidadosamente
la puerta del compartimento.
5. Para iniciar la reproducción, pulse el botón
del panel superior.
Pulse el botón del panel superior para
pausar temporalmente la reproducción y
púlselo de nuevo para reanudarla.
6. Pulse el botón /para detener la
reproducción.
AVANCE Y REBOBINADO RÁPIDO DE CASETES
1. Pulse y mantenga presionado los botones
o del panel superior para localizar
una sección específica en la pista y suéltelo
en el punto que desee escuchar.
2. Pulse el botón /para detener la función
de avance o rebobinado rápido.
FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO DE CASETES
Notas:
• Los botones volverán a su posición inicial
al final de la reproducción del casete.
• Durante el avance o rebobinado rápido, los
botones no volverán a su posición inicial al
terminar el casete.
Notas:
• Este radiocasete no es compatible para
grabar en casetes de tipo CHROME (IEC
II) o METAL (IEC IV). Para grabar utilice
casetes de tipo NORMAL (IEC I) en los que
no se hayan roto las lengüetas (pequeños
recuadros que se encuentran en las esquinas
superiores).
• Para evitar grabar accidentalmente
sobre una grabación, retire hacia fuera
las lengüetas.
• Para volver a grabar sobre un casete
que ya no tiene lengüetas, simplemente
cubra con cinta adhesiva los recuadros
donde solían estar.
• Ajuste el nivel de volumen desde el
dispositivo externo cuando grabe una
cinta de casete desde el modo función de
entrada auxiliar o Bluetooth.
• El nivel del volumen de grabación se
ajustará de forma automática.
Ajustar el volumen del radiocasete no
afectará la grabación.
• No se grabará nada en los primeros 7
segundos ni en los últimos 7 segundos
del casete.
3. Introduzca un casete compatible dentro
del COMPARTIMENTO DE CASETES.
4. Pulse los botones y del panel superior
al mismo tiempo para iniciar la grabación.
5. Inicie la reproducción desde el modo de
función deseado.
6. Pulse el botón para pausar la grabación
y vuelva a pulsarlo para reanudarla.
7. Pulse el botón /para detener la
grabación.

La compatibilidad de un CD MP3 con
esta unidad se limita a:

No use caracteres especiales como:
/ :*?< > etc
Aunque el número total de archivos del
CD sea superior a 1000, solamente se
mostrará hasta 999.

CD/ CD-R/ CD-RW/ MP3.
1. Pulse el botón /MODE para encender el
radiocasete.
2. Abra manualmente la BANDEJA DE CDS.
3. Inserte un CD con la cara impresa hacia
arriba y cierre manualmente la tapa de la
bandeja de nuevo.
4. Pulse repetidamente el botón /MODE
hasta que aparezca el modo de función Cd
(CD) en la pantalla.
Una vez accedido a dicho modo, el
INDICADOR DE MODO CD aparecerá en
la parte superior de la pantalla.
El radiocasete comenzará a leer el disco,
mostrando el número de canciones
disponibles.
5. Pulse el botón SCAN/para iniciar o
reanudar la reproducción. Pulse SCAN/
de nuevo para pausar temporalmente la
reproducción.
Cuando el radiocasete está en pausa la
pantalla parpadeará para indicarlo.
6. Pulse el botón para detener la reproducción.
La pantalla mostrará de nuevo el número total
de canciones.
SELECCIONAR OTRA PISTA O ARCHIVO
Gire el dial sintonizador del panel superior
hacia la posición o para seleccionar
una pista específica.
Gire hacia la posición una vez para
escuchar el comienzo de la pista actual,
y gírelo dos o más veces para escuchar la
pista anterior.
ESCUCHAR REPETIDAMENTE UNA O
VARIAS PISTAS
Pulse varias veces el botón REPEAT en el
panel frontal para seleccionar el modo de
repetición entre las siguientes opciones:
1. REPEAT 1 (repetir la pista actual)
2. REPEAT (repetir todas las pistas
disponibles)
3. OFF (cancelar la función de repetición)
Nota:
• Debido a que los discos MP3 tienen una
gran capacidad, los tiempos de lectura
del disco pueden ser un poco más largos.
CREAR UNA LISTA DE REPRODUCCIÓN DE CD
La función de programar permite elaborar
listas de reproducción de hasta 20 pistas
para CD y 99 pistas para un CD-MP3 que
se reproducen en el orden seleccionado.
1. Con la reproducción parada (el CD no se
está reproduciendo), pulse el botón PROG/
TIME, y la pantalla LCD mostrará la indicación
“P01” y el indicador “PROGRAM”.
2. Gire el dial sintonizador hacia las posiciones
o para asignar la pista deseada.
3. Pulse el botón PROG/TIME para seleccionar
y almacenar la pista en la memoria.
La secuencia de programa cambiará a
“P02” para elegir la siguiente pista.
4. Repita los pasos 2 y 3 para seleccionar
hasta 20/99 pistas respectivamente.
5. Para reproducir las pistas seleccionadas (en
el modo programa), pulse el botón .
6. Gire el dial hacia la posición para escuchar
la pista anterior o gire hacia , para
escuchar la siguiente pista programada.
7. Para borrar de la memoria las pistas
programadas, pulse el botón dos veces
o abra la tapa de la bandeja de CD.

RADIO FM
Puede almacenar hasta 40 de sus emisoras de
radio favoritas en la memoria del sintonizador
para poder sintonizarlas fácilmente en cualquier
momento.
ESCANEAR AUTOMÁTICAMENTE
1. Pulse repetidamente el botón /MODE
hasta que la función “rd” (radio) aparezca
parpadeando en la pantalla.
Una vez accedido a dicho modo, los
indicadores FM/MHz y el INDICADOR ST
aparecerán en la parte derecha de la
pantalla.
2. Mantenga presionado el botón SCAN/
para iniciar el escaneo de emisoras; la
búsqueda se detendrá automáticamente
cada vez que encuentre una emisora con
señal suficiente.
3. Tras unos segundos, la pantalla se actualizará
mostrando la frecuencia de la emisora
actual.
4. Gire el SINTONIZADOR hacia la posición
o para visualizar y escuchar las emisoras
de radio almacenadas.
ESCANEAR MANUALMENTE
1. Pulse el botón /MODE para seleccionar
el modo “rd” (radio).
2. Gire el SINTONIZADOR hacia la posición
o para sintonizar una emisora. Cada
giro cambiará la frecuencia hacia arriba o
hacia abajo en 100 kHz.
3. Una vez que haya localizado la emisora que
quiere guardar, pulse y mantenga pulsado el
botón PROG/TIME en el panel frontal. “S01”
aparecerá en la pantalla; gire el sintonizador
hacia o hasta que aparezca el número
de posición de memoria deseado en la
pantalla. Pulse PROG/TIME de nuevo
para confirmar y guardar la emisora
actual.
4. Repita los pasos 2 y 3 para almacenar hasta
40 emisoras.
REPRODUCIR EMISORAS ALMACENADAS
Pulse repetidamente el botón PRESET/+10
para ver o escuchar las emisoras de radio
almacenadas.
TRANSMISIÓN ESTÉREO/MONO
Seleccione la transmisión estéreo o mono.
1. La transmisión “ST” (estéreo) está activada
por defecto.
La pantalla mostrará brevemente la palabra
“ST” cuando el modo estéreo se active.
El INDICADOR ST aparecerá en la esquina
superior derecha.
2. Para mejorar la recepción cuando sintonice
emisoras con señal débil, cambie el modo
a sonido monofónico.
La pantalla mostrará brevemente la palabra
“NO” cuando se active el modo mono, y el
INDICADOR ST desaparecerá.
MODO USB
REPRODUCCIÓN VIA USB
Este radiocasete ha sido desarrollado
utilizando los últimos avances tecnológicos en
el ámbito de los dispositivos USB. Sin embargo,
dada la amplia gama de tipos de dispositivos de
almacenamiento USB que existen actualmente
en el mercado, lamentablemente no podemos
garantizar una compatibilidad total con todos
ellos. Por esta razón, en raras ocasiones, puede
haber problemas en la reproducción de archivos
de dispositivos de almacenamiento USB. Esto no
se debe a un mal funcionamiento del dispositivo.
1. Pulse el botón /MODE para encender el
radiocasete.
2. Pulse repetidamente el botón /MODE
hasta que el modo de función “USb”(USB)
aparezca parpadeando en la pantalla.
Una vez accedido a dicho modo, el
INDICADOR DE MODO USB aparecerá en
la parte superior izquierda de la pantalla.
3. Conecte un dispositivo de almacenamiento
USB en el puerto USB/MP3. La pantalla
mostrará brevemente el número total de
carpetas y de canciones. La reproducción
se iniciará automáticamente tras unos
segundos.
4. Para detener la reproducción temporalmente,
pulse el botón /SCAN, vuelva a pulsarlo
para reanudarla.
5. Gire el SINTONIZADOR hacia o para
seleccionar una pista específica.
6. Pulse el botón para detener la
reproducción.
ESCUCHAR REPETIDAMENTE LAS PISTAS

radiocasete a uno diferente antes de
extraer el dispositivo de almacenamiento
USB.
• Para evitar daños en el radiocasete u
otros aparatos, no intente cargar ningún
dispositivo externo utilizando dicho
puerto USB.
Nota:
• Para eliminar una emisora almacenada,
reemplace dicha emisora por otra.
CREAR UNA LISTA DE REPRODUCCIÓN DE USB
La función programa permite elaborar listas
de reproducción de hasta 99 pistas para USB
que se reproducen en el orden seleccionado.
1. Con la reproducción detenida (el USB no
se está reproduciendo), pulse el botón
PROG/TIME, y la pantalla LCD mostrará la
indicación “P01” y el indicador “Program”.
2. Gire el dial sintonizador hacia las posiciones
o para asignar la pista deseada.
3. Pulse el botón PROG/TIME para seleccionar
y almacenar la pista en la memoria.
La secuencia de programa cambiará a
“P02” para elegir la siguiente pista.
4. Repita los pasos 2 y 3 para seleccionar
hasta 99 pistas.
5. Para reproducir las pistas seleccionadas (en
el modo programa), pulse el botón .

EMPAREJAMIENTO BLUETOOTH:
Antes de utilizar la función Bluetooth el radiocasete debe ser emparejado en primer lugar con
el dispositivo Bluetooth. (“Emparejar” significa establecer la conexión entre los dispositivos
Bluetooth como el teléfono móvil, las tabletas, el ordenador, etc.).

avisará de que el radiocasete está preparado
para emparejarse, y la palabra “bt”

El INDICADOR DE MODO BLUETOOTH
aparecerá en la parte central de la pantalla.
El radiocasete comenzará a buscar de
forma automática los dispositivos Bluetooth
cercanos.
3. Active la función de Bluetooth en su
dispositivo y hágalo visible (consulte las
instrucciones de sus dispositivos para agregar
o configurar un dispositivo Bluetooth).
4. Busque y seleccione el equipo Bluetooth:
AIWA BBTC-550
En caso necesario, introduzca el código
“0000”.

Si los dispositivos se emparejan con éxito,
la palabra “bt” se mantendrá encendida, y
una nota de voz le avisará de que el
dispositivo Bluetooth está conectado.
La próxima vez que active el modo
Bluetooth el dispositivo se conectará de
manera automática.
5. Pulse brevemente para desconectar el
dispositivo Bluetooth vinculado.

1. Pulse el botón para reproducir.
2. Para pausar o reanudar la reproducción,
pulse de nuevo el botón .
3. Gire el sintonizador hacia la posición o
para seleccionar una pista específica.
Nota:
• La compatibilidad con todos los dispositivos
Bluetooth no está garantizada.
AJUSTAR EL RELOJ
CONFIGURAR LA HORA ACTUAL
Este radiocasete tiene una función de reloj con
formato de 24 horas. Siga los siguientes pasos
para ajustar la hora.
1. Mientras el radiocasete está en modo de
espera, pulse y mantenga durante 2 segundos
el botón PROG/TIME.
La hora 00:00 aparecerá parpadeando en
la pantalla.
2. Gire el SINTONIZADOR hacia o
para seleccionar la hora, y pulse el botón
PROG/TIME para confirmar.
Después, los minutos comenzarán a parpadear
en la pantalla.
3. Gire el SINTONIZADOR hacia o
para seleccionar los minutos y pulse el
botón PROG/TIME para confirmar la
selección.
Nota:
• Si no se pulsa ningún botón durante
10 segundos, el radiocasete cancelará
automáticamente la operación de ajuste
de la hora.
MODO DE ENTRADA AUXILIAR (AUX-IN)
Este radiocasete puede ser utilizado como
altavoz activo para ordenadores portátiles,
MP3 y otros reproductores de audio pequeños
siguiendo los pasos que se indican a continuación.
1. Pulse el botón /MODE para encender el
radiocasete.
2. Pulse repetidamente el botón /MODE
hasta que el modo de función “AUX”
(entrada auxiliar) aparezca parpadeando
en la pantalla.
Una vez accedido a dicho modo, el
INDICADOR DE MODO AUX-IN aparecerá
en la parte superior derecha de la pantalla.
3. Conecte un cable auxiliar con una clavija
de 3,5mm a un dispositivo de audio
externo, y el otro extremo a la toma AUX IN
situada en el lateral del radiocasete.
4. Inicie la reproducción en el dispositivo
externo.
Puede ajustar el volumen en el dispositivo
de audio externo (no ajuste el volumen a un
nivel alto para evitar distorsiones). También
puede ajustar el volumen en el radiocasete.
Para controlar la función de reproducción,
utilice los controles del dispositivo de audio
externo.
MODO AUX-IN
Nota:
• El radiocasete no puede acceder a los
contenidos del dispositivo externo.

CUIDADOS DEL CHASIS
1. Para evitar riesgos de incendio o
electrocución, desconecte la unidad de la
alimentación CA o retire las pilas cuando
la limpie.
2. El acabado de la unidad puede limpiarse
con una gamuza para el polvo y cuidarse
como cualquier mueble. Tenga cuidado
cuando limpie las piezas de plástico.
3. Puede usar detergente suave y una
gamuza humedecida sobre el panel
delantero.
CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
CUIDADO DE DISCOS COMPACTOS
1. Manipule el CD con cuidado. Sujete el
disco únicamente por los bordes.
No permita que los dedos toquen el lado
reflectante, no impreso del CD.
2. No adhiera cinta adhesiva, pegatinas, etc.
al CD.
3. Limpie periódicamente los CD con una
gamuza suave sin pelusa y seca.
No use nunca detergentes ni limpiadores
abrasivos para limpiar el CD.
En caso necesario, use un kit de limpieza
de CD.
Si un CD tiene saltos o se encalla en una
sección, posiblemente esté sucio o dañado
(rayado).
Cuando limpie el CD, límpielo de dentro
(centro) hacia fuera. No lo limpie nunca
con movimientos circulares.
4. Esta unidad ha sido
diseñada para reproducir
los CD con el logotipo
identificador mostrado o
discos en formato MP3.
Otros CD pueden no cumplir con el
estándar CD y no reproducirse correctamente.
5. Los CD deben guardarse en sus fundas
después de cada uso para evitar daños.
6. No exponga los CD a la luz solar directa,
humedad elevada, temperaturas elevadas,
polvo, etc. La exposición prolongada a
temperaturas extremas puede deformar el
CD.
7. No adhiera ni escriba nada en ningún
lado del CD.
Podría dañar la superficie con la tinta, o
al emplear objetos de escritura afilados.
LIMPIEZA DE LA LENTE
Si la lente se ensucia puede que el reproductor
se detenga continuamente o no reproduzca el CD:
1. Abra la tapa del CD.
2. Use una perilla para soplar una o dos
veces sobre la lente, quite con el pincel el
polvo o las partículas de la lente y sople
de nuevo.
3. Para eliminar huellas dactilares use un
algodón seco para limpiar del centro al
borde exterior de la lente.
GUÍA DE SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
ADVERTENCIA:
Bajo ninguna circunstancia debe intentar reparar el equipo usted mismo, ésto anularía la garantía.
CUIDADO DE LOS CASETES
1. Trate los casetes con cuidado.
Evite que sus dedos toquen la superficie
reproducible; manipule las cintas de casete
únicamente por sus carcasas exteriores.
2. Rebobine las cintas completamente antes
de guardarlas.
Los casetes deben almacenarse
verticalmente.
3. Limpie el equipo (cabezales de cinta,
guías, etc.) con frecuencia y a fondo con
alcohol isopropílico y bastoncillos de
algodón.
4. Reproduzca sus cintas cada pocos años,
con el fin de comprobar su estado y evitar
síntomas del sticky-shed syndrome (un
problema común que afecta a las capas de
algunas cintas de casete y que hace que
se peguen entre sí).
5. Los casetes deben guardarse en sus cajas
después de cada uso para evitar daños.
6. No exponga los casetes a la luz solar
directa, humedad elevada, temperaturas
elevadas, polvo, etc.
Una exposición prolongada a temperaturas
extremas puede provocar daños en la cinta
de casete.
Si se produce un fallo, compruebe los aspectos indicados a continuación antes de hacer reparar el equipo.
No abra el radiocasete, existe riesgo de electrocución.
